My partner and I came to ensenada without planning anything & all hotels were sold out online. We were walking the downtown strip looking for hotels & after going to several that were already sold out, Bahia had 1 room left. We took it. We saw the room before we paid & were like it's not what we are used to but we will take it. Ultimately this hotel is in the best location! Close to everything! Customer service with us is awesome. I'm the director of housekeeping at the Marriott & have worked at several full service hotels in San Diego & Miami & knew what I was getting into when we checked in. Although the hotel can't control the condition of the hotel they can control cleanliness. The last room that was available obviously wasn't the room people wanted to stay in but we took it because it was the last room. Though not many understand the hotel situations & condition that they don't have control over but as long as it's clean & service is good, it's all that matters. Heck we only paid $60 a night. You get what you pay for and it's a bargain because no one bothers you. Comfortable & clean room although beds & room need updating. Bar is excellent their bartenders are well trained & knowledgeable. We are definitely coming back.

Rooms are a bit old but decent. First room we stayed in the cable or phone did not work so we were switch to a different room with a smaller bed. For that one night it's ok. Customer service was great though.

We stayed at the Bahia two days and paid for a Bay View room which was pretty costly. The view was looking at a parking lot and then the Bay. The room had old ugly carpeting, ugly small tile in the bathroom and no lighting. It looked liked it was last updated in the 70s. The hotel was under construction so there was no restaurants and no bars open and we weren't told this when we booked. There was only an outdoor food truck that had limited options. DON'T waste your money on this hotel. I want my money back!!! Worse resort hotel experience ever!

After a few failed attempts to book online and over the phone (no vacancy) my wife and I drove down from San Diego to Ensenada and our first stop was the Bahia Hotel. The lady at the front desk looked at her daily printout and quickly located a room for us. The hotel is centrally located but far enough away from the loud bars to allow you a pleasant nights rest. This is pretty much a bare bones hotel with a restaurant/bar and a pool. Standard shower, dresser, old box style tv, and window unit type ac. Nothing fancy but everything works. The parking is private and secure with full time security. We left some stuff in the back of the truck overnight and it was not tampered with overnight. We are definitely staying here again and would recommend it to others as well. cheers!

First time staying here, Hotel is on the older side, also room little outdated but overall our stay and staff was good. It was a busy weekend in ensenada mostly all hotels where booked and double the price. This hotel had same day to day price and also where able to lodge us without having a reservation. Thank you Hotel Bahia and staff you have earned another customer..

Google
Excellent location right at downtown but the hotel needs a lot of attention. Rooms outdate, carpet is like 20 years old with some stains and pet hair every where. Price is just like any other hotel in downtown.

Very old hotel. The beds in our room was hard as a rock! The shower pressure was very low. Hardly any water flowing out. No WiFi in the rooms, only in the lobby. You can’t enjoy being in your room because of lack of WiFi. No English speaking TV channels. The TV & AC was the only updated items in the room. No small refrigerator in our room, their hotel telephone was also a 1974 phone, outdated. The only thing I liked about the hotel is the location. Walking distance to restaurants & shops.

Didn't stay here but went to the bar to have a drink. The bar smelled like poop and the bartenders weren't the cleanest. The place looks nice but there is just the sticky dirty film feeling you have when you're sitting in the place. There are lots of spots to go to in downtown Ensenada this isn't one of them.

Yelp
This place is horrible. We were visiting friends and family in Ensenada, and we had friends staying at this hotel. After a long walk, we remembered our friends were staying there, so we stopped by to say hello, and while we were there, use the restroom. We kindly asked the clerk if they had a restroom we could borrow, while we waited for our friends to come down, He looked at us angrily and said "No, we don't have one", I looked at him and said..."But this is a hotel, how do you not have any restrooms in the lobby? To which he shot back "Are you staying here? Do you have a reservations? We told him no, but our friends did and we were waiting for them...Still declined to let me and my wife's friend use the restroom, so we walked out. Granted, I will never stay at this hotel, and I will tell my friends and family, not to stay here ever again either, after how we were treated....

Yelp
I've been coming to Hotel Bahia for nearly 20 years, but after last night's stay I will find somewhere else. It is overpriced for an old run-down place with broken fixtures and a nasty stench. The first room we were given was not secure. There was a sliding glass door out to a small patio that faced a lawn and parking lot. The locking mechanism was broken and on the ground. The man at the desk tried convincing us we were safe and not to worry. NONSENSE! He begruggingly gave us a new room. The TV didn't work and that really upset him that he had to run back and forth to try to fix that. He finally fixed it with a nasty attitude as if it were our fault. He seemed upset to be pulled away from his own tv at the front desk. Then around 10pm the toilet would not stop running and spilled up and out the tank (luckily the top tank and not the pee water). After informing the grumpy front desk dude, he blamed us for causing the mess with the shower. We had not used the shower - it came from the toilet which ended up running all night. We used the bath towels to soak up the water. We tipped the maid because we felt awful they had to clean such a disgusting mess. The only reason this is 2 stars and not 1 is because the location is pretty good and the ladies who work there are very kind. Avoid this place. The old bar used to be a great place to hang out but it's all boarded up. I'm not sure of the plans but the whole property seems like a candidate for demo/rebuild and until that happens I aint going back.

Yelp
Love this place. I always stop for drinks while I'm in Mexico. It's not too far from the Carnival Cruise Line Port, literally walking distance from the boat. The bartenders are always good, nice to talk with and of course great drinks. I definitely recommend to stop there, grab a margarita and enjoy the fun in Ensenada.

Yelp
I didn't stay at the hotel but stopped for a single beer instead of hitting the typical tourist traps. I ended up staying for 5 hours until I had to return to my cruise ship. Jorge and Denise make a great bartending team. They made me feel welcome and made amazing drinks, using fresh berries in their margaritas and daiquiris. My only wish is that they had food, but Jorge pointed me towards some fantastic fish tacos that I brought back to the bar.

Yelp
Adrian was our bartender this year, we first came to this bar last year when the bartender told us they had margarita specials. The margaritas and micheladas are delicious and the service is also great. Adrian was a great bartender and our party of 6 really enjoyed his service.

Yelp
Hello all let me start by stating my family is from Ensenada but we choice to stay in hotel for the luxury of a pool for our kids and some where to relax and enjoy our vacation with some beers. Our visit was this past weekend from 8/23/19 to 8/26/19 Anyways, after so many years this was our first time staying at this hotel (Hotel Bahia) and it will be diffidently the last. The rooms are horrible bed is like sleeping on bricks the room smelled old and the restrooms smelled like pee. We got room 109 and the restroom smelled like sewer after complaining and getting the runaround they finally changed my room but that room also had a brick bed. They also don't have handicap access and we have a family member with wheelchair due to surgery and they wanted to put him on the second floor so we have to complain about that to because they don't have elevator access. So I booked on line for a 2 queen bed room because we have our teen daughter with us and I was given one price but when we checked in they gave me a different price which was $31 dollars more. Mind you when they changed my room due to the sewer smell they stated no more 2 queen beds rooms left so they gave me a room with 1 king bed and stated they couldn't adjust my rate because I booked on line (yeah right!!) When we go visit family during the summer we always book 7 to 10 rooms because there's a lot of us that go on this trip. We booked 7 rooms and all of us where very unhappy with our rooms and/or service. The room I got was right next to the pool and the pool guys (2 of them) would service it early like 6am, early!! but they would not respect that people are still sleeping and they would screaming and have a loud conversation with the housekeeping girls across the pool. So once again we will never stay at this hotel again!!! one place I can recommend is the Villa Marina which is at the left hand corner of this hotel the tallest hotel there. OMG..... I almost forgot to mention they didn't have hot water for showers all weekend. Also don't believe the pictures online because the pictures are very deceiving the place, pool, rooms don't like that the pictures. sincerely yours a very unhappy hotel guest!! st came back from my vacation

Yelp
Sleep in your car, sleep on a tent, rent a room form a random local house, but for the love of God.. stay away from this disgusting place. Beds are made out of bricks. Sheets are paper thin since they the same ones from when the hotel got inaugurated. smells of old cigarette. stained carpet A hole on the bedspread.. A HOLE ON THE BEDSPREAD. A HOLE ON THE BEDSPREAD!!!!!! dirty...dirty....nasty.. Getting a hooker and not using protection is still cleaner than staying at this NASTY !!! hotel.. RUN DRIVE RUN.. FAR FAR FAR AWAY FROM THESE PEOPLE!.

Yelp
Me and my family stood at this hotel this past weekend. HORRIBLE is an understatement! The beds were HARD- about as hard as laying on cement floor. In order to use the AC and the TV the remotes are supposed to be given to you upon check in- THEY WERE NOT I had to ask and still only received the AC remote... for an AC that DID NOT WORK! The staff was rude- every time we asked a question they would interrupt us and shut anything we needed down! I booked online through booking.com and upon check in they refused to honor that pricing instead charging us their regular night rights not the discounted ones I went off of when online booking. If we said we would only stay one night because of the service they advised we would still be charged the full stay SMH! This has to be the worst hotel stay I have ever been to, me and my family will NEVER stay here nor will we ever recommend this hotel to anyone.

Yelp
I haven't stayed in the hotel. The bar is awesome. Great margaritas. It is a locals bar so it will generally empty. Don't let that deter you. Get a hand made margarita and relax.
