Hotel Balade

Had a one night stay at the end of a Rhine Cruise. Excellent hotel. New, modern building and interior. Staff were great. We booked in early and after checkout we left our bags for collection for our late night flight. Basic Continental breakfast. If I go back to Basel this will be my first choice. Met all my needs. In a pleasant square just a short walk to the riverside and the Old Town.

It's almost really nice. It's almost brilliant. It just needs a little more attention to detail. A little cleaner, a little nicer bedding, a little more diversity for breakfast. It's not unreasonably priced. The design is great. It's on the edge of the red light district - so you're aware not to make eye contact with the ladies. Unless you want to. Your call, I'm not going to judge. It's also on the edge of the old city so everything is easily walkable however you do receive a complimentary public transportation pass. There's a lot of good shopping nearby.

Excellent service and attention to our needs. We arrived with one extra person than they were expecting as my booking for 5 didn't match theirs for 4. No issues though, an extra bed was put in our apartment shortly after we checked in. Apartment was well equipped and any extra supplies of coffee or tea we quickly delivered to us. Breakfast was decent with two choices of costs to suit all needs. A really pleasant place to stay right near the river bank and tram stops or just a short walk from the Altstadt. Would recommend for families.

Clean no frills hotel. Nice clean room with good size bathroom and shower. In room tea and coffee making facilities. No evening meal in hotel but I'd does have a bar. Breakfast is good and best cuppicino I have ever had from a machine. You are given a free pass to use the local transport which is excellent (this might happen in all hotels).

The hotel is located in a really good location right in the centre of Basel, The rooms where very modern and stylish. I slept really well in a very clean bed. The hotel also gives you free public transport tickets and free WiFi is available everywhere in the hotel. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would happily stay there again.

Great 3 stars hotel with very reasonable prices. Too bad they didn't have any parking space left as it is a nightmare to park in Basel. Rooms were nice and well equipped. Recommended.

Stayed in a 4 bed apartment. Good value considering how busy it was in Basel for the Europa league final. Really clean and decent Swiss standard rooms

Neat modern hotel with comfy rooms. Hotel parking is limited. Very friendly staff on all levels. Temporary TV issue. Free public transport. Shopping area and restaurants. Riverside nearby.
