Nice and typical hotel right in the middle of the town and facing the main square. Sleeping can be difficult though because the area is really noisy till late in the night but also early in the morning. Breakfast is nice and local but the same everyday. WiFi is not working very well.

Location was great and lively! The square can get a little loud but it’s not the hotels fault. The staff was nice and the breakfast was delicious. Only thing was there was no hot water in either of our rooms but we only stayed for one night so we didn’t mind.

Clean, great location, hot water, comfortable bed. Was given the option of staying in a room with balcony facing the main plaza with music blasting till 1am or a room in the back with no noise and no balcony. Choose the balcony and had a great view. The breakfast consisted of fruit, scrambled eggs and arepa. Included was the coffee or hot chocolate. Would definitely stay again.

Low price but beds too small. Limited room furniture.

Our service was absolutely dismal. Upon our arrival, we were greeted by a hotel representative that was inebriated, as the town was celebrating Halloween. ||We presented copies of our Colombia issued IDs, and foreign passport for a family friend (with a copy of the immigration check that Colombia requires prior to entry). The representative refused to accept the copies of our friend’s foreign passport. Upon his refusal to accept the documents, we asked to cancel our reservation and a refund. He denied.||||We brought in the police for assistance, one of the agents was the town’s authority on immigration and tourism policies. The police officer confirmed that our friend’s documentation was valid and demanded that we be provided with out room. However, the representative constantly challenged his authority. ||||We explained to the police that we no longer wanted to stay in this hotel as we no longer felt safe, and we wanted our money returned. The police insisted that he give us a refund, but he continued to refuse. At this time, a lieutenant detected alcohol smells emanating from the representative and proceeded to question him, where he admitted to having drank several alcoholic drinks. He also failed to provide his Colombian identification upon request from the police, as he did nit have it with him. ||||The police officers continued to ask for a refund, and it was not until the owner was going to be called, that he provided us with the money. ||||The police officers assisted us in finding a new place to stay - Hotel Valdivia. We highly recommend everyone to stay at Hotel Valdivia, it has beautiful accommodations and the service was wonderful.

... the rooms that face out and have balconies are bathed in street noise till at least midnight. Knowing this, we opted for an interior room hoping to avoid the acoustical nightmare. We were wrong. Below our room was a restaurant that played music sufficiently loud so as to render useless my wax earplugs. The entire hotel is on the second floor so you will contend with some noise maker at some point. I liked the room. Great bed and lovely hot shower. Just prepare yourself for noise. We were there mid week and visitors were few. The noise is from the locals. It is just a noisy town. Church bells go off starting at 3:30 AM. Next time I will stay at a place outside of town. Meals at the hotel are only served on weekends.

Rooms upstairs, no lift, no baggage service. Poor furniture, no night lamps. The narrow bathroom separated from the bedroom by a 4/5 high wall. Breakfast only on Sundays. Location very good, but very noisy, too. Mattrasses good.

We stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, and I have to say it was just perfect. The rooms with balconys have a great view of the plaza. The rooms are basic, but clean and comfortable, and the price is very reasonable (COP 130,000 for the entire stay).
