Hotel Balegra

Our stay at Hotel Balegra was truly so lovely and memorable. After checking out, I realized I forgot my favorite pillow, which I take with me everywhere when I travel. Not only did the owner of the hotel immediately find the pillow, they sent it to me free of charge. The staff is so organized, helpful and accommodating, I was really touched by the hospitality I felt while staying there. They take care of you, and make you feel like a real member of the family. All of my questions were answered promptly, the staff was organized and clean, and again the owner was able to find and send me my favorite pillow. We had such a great time and will be back.

Stayed there two times for a few nights during a business stay in Basel and can highly recommend it. The rooms are comfortable and clean, and have all the essentials, some even have small coffee machines. The hotel is located in a nice neighborhood outside the city centre, but one can easily get around Basel via nearby bus and tram stations. The owner is super friendly and knowledgeable of Basel.

We spent two nights at this hotel, which is situated perfectly in a leafy suburb of Basel within easy reach of SBB station and Airport. The busses run every few minutes. The hotel is very clean and the breakfast delicious and varied with cheeses and cold meats and lots of bread rolls and jams. You name it they have it. The don't have a cooked breakfast bar but then its a 3 *** hotel. Our room was spacious and very comfortable. If you just pay a little more its worth it. The shower is small but has everything you need for a night or two. This hotel is not for spending a long holiday in, just a couple of nights. The hotel staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. I even got a kettle for my midnight cup of tea! Would recommend this hotel to anyone who wants to visit Basel.

Nice hotel and very clean. Beautifully arranged and designed for a 3 star hotel. I had strange encounters with other guests. That's the only negative I can really think of

Perfectly acceptable room for 5 nights, staff very friendly and everything you'd want. Except air con, so loses a star. Would stay again, but only when it's not 34°C 😉

Friendly staff. Single room is very single but I did have my own bathroom. Fee travel pass. Great location. I was there for the Tennis

Very recomendable hotel. Confortable room, clean, with all services around and public transports directly on the door. Helpful staff. Reasonable price.

A little noisy, because it located at a busy intersection with bus stop. Clean and small rooms. Free parking around the hotel. The staff friendly and helpful.
