At one time, this was possibly a lovely place. The rooms need to be updated, with a thorough cleaning. Cushions on outdoor spaces are in poor condition. The bedding is old and stained. Pillows are crap. No hot water. So, be satisfied with cold showers. The main pool(during my stay) was shut down. There are few amenities, like coffee pots in your room. No wash clothes or hand towels are provided. Very loud music and general noise that sleep is difficult late into the night. Off a 6 lane road to get to the beach. And when you get to the beach over 6 lanes of traffic, you walk almost 2 blocks to get to the beach. Will not stay here ever again.

The photo's here don't show improvements this hotel has made. Just spent 2 weeks there, 1st stay was 5 years ago. Rooms very clean. All new refigs, and toilets, Very fair price for location which is on the main costera in the heat of the Golden Zone. Staff is very friendly, great location, walking distance to Restaurants, shopping, malls, flea markets, 1/2 block from beach. If you don't like the big high rise hotels this is a great place. 2 story most room face the pool, lots of Palms and plants. Just very serine and peaceful. I really enjoyed my stay. I will go back.

The place is fun and has a certain feel to it. I was at the fairmont princess with people that were taking care of everything and I would leave the property in the morning and go here to eat then I just got a room here and didn't tell them about it ...I accidentally stumbled on it when I saw on the map a Disco Beach, I won't even say what happened after that - It's an authentic 50's hotel with a Disco Beach ...that's potential. Some of the people there thought I was crazy for leaving a Fairmont but I had a lot more fun than they did . It ended up being a tiki pool party like . Ya there are elements of the hotel that prevent it from being 5* and I became thankful for every one of them just about . People staying at the fairmont had a lot to learn that week about how to have a better time on holiday. I would buy this place and operate at a loss to throw a huge party here .

The hotel is wide open to the street (Avenida Costera) and it is quite easy for bad people to get in the hotel at anytime. I don´t understand why they don't install doors at the entrance and exit. Acapulco has a security issue and I felt quite insecure during my stay! Since the hotel is close to the street, if you get a room on that side you may have trouble getting asleep. (we didn't sleep the first night and then we change for a room more on the back) There is no restaurant or cafeteria in the hotel, just a bar at the pool. No breakfast no snacks ... Price is very high on weekends and holidays for the services you get. I don´t recommend the Bali Hai for vacation in Acapulco.||The hotel as a good location near many restaurants beach and comercial centers. It has a nice pool and the rooms are spacious. The personnel is very friendly and helpful. El wifi es terriblemente deficiente y el aire condicionado es general: o te congela o no funciona! ||Una actualización de todo el hotel es necesaria, una climatización con regulación individual es indispensable.||Algo es seguro: no volvere

This is my second post on this hotel. Actually just finishing up a 6 week stay here. Changes are happening here. I talk to a number of people who said they had new beds a pillows including me. I got some great sleep. Hot water use to be a issue but not ant more. They a new boiler for the water and new AC units. My room also had new cushions on the couch that also pulls out into a queen bed. I had a newer black frig. Cable TV although I did not turn it on once. They have also just installed new wifi witch all rooms now have access to. By the looks of the equipment they spent a lot of money on the wifi. Grounds are well kept. Pool areas were clean. Over all this hotel is spending money and making it better for us guest. Location is in the golden zone. Just a half block from the beach, walking distance to shopping, eating, money exchange. Very friendly staff, quick check in and check outs. I was informed that prices for next season will be reduced to be more competitive with other hotels in area.

Went to the Bali Hai hotel with some friends and we didn't realy know what to expect but how can you not like it!||Nice pool, quiet place, although it's across the street from the beach, it's not that bad. Our room was pretty nice and clean. Staff was friendly and always smiling.||Acapulco is a party town. There's a lot of bars and mostly teenagers roaming on the beach (that's why we chose to not be on the beach).||The beach was nice but the water wasn't. It's a brownish color. This being on the Pacific coast is quite normal.||Anyhow, great times!
