We booked a last minute trip to Paracas and decided to stay here on the recommendation of the lonely planet guide.
It was not busy and they gave us the family room. It consisted of a very narrow double bed (super single), a single bed and a bunk bed. The double and single were at the front of the room near the windows but the bunk was at the back near the door.
The kids decided they wanted to sleep near the windows, and papa was way too tall fl sleep in the bunk.
The bunk bed mattress was sunken and sloping, and as it was at the back of the room, felt very hot.
There were lots of dead flies on the floor when we entered the room, many also in the toilet. The toilet was tiny and the shower was dark with poor water pressure and flow. At least it was hot.
The dinner at the restaurant was a little salty but otherwise okay. A cat kept coming over to ask for food.
Breakfast was supposed to start at 7.15am and we thought we’d have some before our boat ride. But at almost 7.30 there was still no movement in the kitchen. We told the receptionist that we had to leave for our boat ride and would have it on our return.
Service was friendly but the place needs a renovation to offer better value. We weren’t looking for 5 star (or we would’ve stayed down the street) but it was disappointing. The main reason to stay here is the location, great for boat ride but I don’t recommend it for families.
