The staff were friendly and did their best, but our stay was cursed. Our toilet wasn’t working and wouldn’t flush, we had to call them to fix it at least 4 times. The fifth time, they gave us a different room which was slightly nicer except we didn’t have any hot water, and it was a 4 story climb up the stairs. The pool is also dirty and mainly there for show. All in all the building looks held together with duct tape and we wish we stayed at a nicer place.

Do not stay here. If you have read any other reviews you will see they all have something in common. This place is dirty, outdated, and broken. You’ll have a dirty floor in your room not just by the look of it but the sound of dirt under your shoes. A variety of stains on the sheets and pillowcases. A range of 20-50 mosquitoes and other bugs living in the room with you. No basic amenities like toilet paper, soap of any kind. And the shower floor by the drain is jagged. So you’d more than likely cut your foot if you didn’t look before you stepped. To top it all off the front door to the place was so wobbly that when you try and lock it with the old key the door knob just about fell off. Meaning anyone could just turn it enough gain entry. Once we walked right back up to the front office they acted like they didn’t understand what we meant. They do they speak Spanish and English and so do i. Then proceeded to stay they cannot change anything about the room, find a different room, nor refund us our money. We left the property after getting nowhere. I booked 24 Dec 2024, and am still attempting to get the refund. Don’t stay here, and if you do, check everything is good to you before you pay, if they won’t let you see the rooms before you pay. You have everything you need to know about it. Hope this helps.

Do not stay here We were a group of 17 people and none of us had a good experience in this hotel. The only positive thing is that the hotel is close to 5th Avenue. All the other things were awful. The hotel staff is inadequate, the pool is a “waste” pool with suspended solids floating, the bathroom door was in poor condition damaged by the humidity, the sink and the faucet were worn (the faucet was badly worn). One of us found garbage emptied in front of the room in the morning. People were chatting noisy over the night making difficult to sleep. In short, avoid staying here.

Simple hotel . Rooms are not pretty but are comfortable and clean. They have problems with hot water in showers. Not fixed. Stairs to go to rooms are scary. Book a room in a low floor. Not a pretty place. Attention is good. Location Ok. Near fifth ave.

During our visit to Playa del Carmen, we were interested in doing as many activities as we could, which meant we needed to save as much money as possible. However, we were worried that by choosing a budget hotel/hostel, we would have to give up quality. Hotel B&B Playa del Karma proved us wrong! ||||We arrived at the ADO bus terminal on the 5th Ave of PDC, and were able to walk to the hotel in less than 10 minutes. We were greeted by friendly and super helpful staff -as well as the adorable hotel kitty, Karmi- who got our room ready in no time (despite us being a bit early). Our room was basic, but had everything you need for sleeping and cleaning up. The room has perfectly adequate air conditioning, a TV, a minibar, and a safe, so for a quick visit, there's nothing else you'd need. Of course, if you are looking for luxury, I would suggest going elsewhere (for example, any of the resorts that are in the area); however, if what you want is to enjoy the destination and have a comfortable bed, AC and a bathroom to get ready, then this is the perfect choice. ||||Everyone at the hotel was great; Karen, Sebastián, Marlon & Enrique took good care of us and were always willing to help with anything we needed. They helped us schedule our complimentary massage with Laura (who was amazing!), they gave us great tips on how to get around, and were very friendly and sweet.||||The hotel is conveniently located near the main strip, and is also within walking distance of almost all transportation options. Although it is not directly on the beach, on our last day, we made it to Kool Beach Club in Mamitas Beach (for which the hotel has special rates) and it was one of the most beautiful beaches that we saw, which is an added plus to this property. ||||Any smart and savvy traveler will absolutely fall in love with Hotel B&B Playa del Karma just as much as we did.

Over rated as a 3 star hotel. ||||Bathroom light bulb burnt out before we even checked in on Dec 24.||||Breakfast was supposed to be included for our stay. Nothing Christmas or New Year’s Day. On our last day my breakfast was a bologna sandwich, 3 cookies, yogurt and a banana.|||| Toilet broke on day 7 of our 10 day stay. leaking water all over bathroom floor, very hazardous. Everyday we were told someone would be up to fix. Finally at 10 AM of our check out it was fixed.||||There are little to no English speaking staff at this hotel. ||||One exception, I needed to go to the hospital and the woman working nights was very helpful. She called a taxi and confirmed the address we were going to and the cost to get there.||||I wouldn’t recommend this property to any English speaking guests.||||Location great close to 5th ave

I saw the positive reviews and photos of what it looked like a nice place. So went ahead and booked the stay thru booking.com and paid $64 dollars. Let’s just say that the outside looks OK and the pictures make it look like a nice place but the minute you step inside this place is a dump!!! I’m not talking old or quaint but instead filthy including a left over cheese ?( it looked like a green something) in the mini fridge. The beds were a joke and the mattress finer than an RV mattress. Luckily I only booked 1 night so I have another hotel to review next time. My advice if all you care is price then stay here ; however if you want a clean place (to take a shower at) then get a different spot. Also forgot to mention that there is no parking !!! So you have to find a meter or a garage then pay 15 pesos/ hour to park the car…
