Stayed here for 8 nights with my spouse and loved it. Hotel staff was exceptional in their helpfulness, genuine interest and friendliness. An example: if it looked like rain, we were always offered umbrellas as we were leaving. I let the hotel staff know that my spouse and I were celebrating a significant wedding anniversary and we received champagne and chocolates our first night there! Our room was stylish, clean, well appointed and plenty big for our purposes (pleasure trip). Plenty of storage for our clothing and bags. Room amenities were great: fluffy robes, soft slippers, generous sized bath towels, good hairdryer, plenty of drinking glasses and free bottled water and toiletries that were replenished daily. Turn down service included straightening up, replenishing towels if needed, nice floor mats on each side of the bed and chocolates. The breakfast buffet was generous with a wide assortment of delicious food items. We thought it a bit overpriced so if you can get a deal with breakfast included, that would be great. Hotel was in a great, central location close to shopping, plenty of small restaurants and cafes and the Metro station. It was about a 20 minute walk to The Louvre and we never had trouble getting an Uber quickly. We would not hesitate to stay here again!

I really liked the location of this hotel, close to all shopping, centrally located and near the metro. Upon arriving We were upgraded (I am elite with Marriott) to a huge room that I am told was the old bank managers office. It was a very large room and definitely unique as it had dark red walls, very high ceilings and was round. While it was unique and absolutely huge for Paris, it was a bit drafty and the bathroom was not very practical as it had a large window floor to ceiling with only a sheer blind. They definitely need a different style blind as at night you can see into the bathroom from the office building across the street. In addition the water pressure in the shower was very weak. While the Room wasn’t exactly my style I was grateful for the free upgrade and the large space of the room was nice. It is a historical and unique hotel which perhaps means sacrificing certain modern features. If you like unique historical spaces this may be a good option. Service at this hotel was very good. Everyone was extremely friendly and willing to go out of their way to help. Breakfast was also good. I may stay at this hotel again due to the service and location, but I think I would choose a different category of room.

Really cool hotel. We learned the building used to be a bank converted to a hotel. This was a wonderful place to stay for aour first visit to Paris. Like everything with Paris, there is so much care in the details, you can spend hours in the lobby taking in all the little details that make this hotel an Autograph Design. The staff are all really friendly and helpful. Moana made sure to make us feel right at home as soon as we arrived. The rooms were clean and laid out pretty well. We had a lot of luggage so the rooms felt a little small but it worked. There was some construction but we were gone most of the days so it wasn't too bothersome. Careful of the Minibar, seems like there is a 100% tax on the beers, which essentially means your getting one for the price of two. Overall we loved the hotel and the staff and my next visit to Paris, I'll definitely be looking to stay here.

This hotel was beautiful and wonderful from top to bottom. The people who took care of us there went above and beyond at every request. Breakfast was great, the room was elegant, so clean and I so loved the fresh rose. In every department the staff was friendly and accomodating from the door, bar, front desk, everyone we encountered. This hotel made my trip to Paris one of the best times in my life.

Hotel Banke Opera, Autograph Collection, nestled in the heart of Paris, had its share of positives and negatives during my stay. On the downside, the rooms at this property felt rather small and simple, leaving something to be desired for those seeking more expansive and luxurious accommodations. Additionally, the temperature control in the lobby left it a bit too cool for comfort, which was not the most welcoming experience. Given these areas of potential improvement, the hotel's nightly rate might be seen as overly steep by some. On the brighter side, the Banke Opera truly shines when it comes to its staff and amenities. The personnel are warm and hospitable, constantly striving to meet guests' needs with a friendly smile. Their exceptional service is complemented by a well-rounded breakfast offering, which provided a good start to the day. Above all, the hotel's central location in Paris is its crowning feature, offering guests easy access to the city's numerous attractions. In conclusion, while there are areas for improvement, particularly regarding room size and lobby ambiance, the Hotel Banke Opera's commendable staff, delectable breakfast, and prime location make it a considerable choice for those seeking a centrally located base in Paris.

Google
Great location. Loved the quirkiness of the hotel but the use of dark red everywhere made it quite dark and oppressive. The welcome drink would have been nice if the offering included Cremant. Breakfast was great and the a la carte options added to the lovely buffet available. The staff were very welcoming and approachable.

I stayed one night, the room was very comfortable, with nice comfortable bed and bed linen. The staff are very nice and go out of their way to ensure you are happy. If you use a gym at a hotel then you will probably think that is a bit inadequate. All in all, I think the hotel is a great property and a good location. Personally I would rate it as a great 4 star, it's a bit of a stretch to say 5 star.

Stayed for 3 days in Feb.|The building was lovely and very happy to see they’ve kept the interior charm and decor.||Staff are friendly and checkin was smooth and simple. My only complaint was that the bar was very slow to serve drinks and at busy times maybe a second person would help, but space is limited behind the counter.||While the room was nice, it was too small. Especially if you ask for an ironing board! ||The Wi-Fi was good, shower ok so happy to recommend this hotel.

Yelp
Very nice people here for sure, they make you feel welcomed. The doormen were super cool always eager to have a conversation with you. The hotel restaurant has really good food, but the service was awful that one night. The hotel bar, while cool was super expensive but the bartenders were cool. I will have to say that I agree with one other reviewer on here that watch out if you charge anything to the room, like your meal at the restaurant or the bar, because they add this huge city tax to everything, and I mean everything, like around €7.50 Euros. Just remember that. The room was tiny as well, and no coffee maker like the Andaz in London. I did however like the steamer they provided instead of an iron. It came in handy.

Yelp
First time at this hotel. GREAT value in a grand hotel that is an awesome example of belle epoch. Beautiful entry and lobby with a nice bar and restaurant. Plenty of comfy places to sit and chat. We arrived early and they bought us a nice glass of wine while we waited for our room. Also, I loved that upon arrival they had excellent apple juice or water with lemon at the ready, and you could enjoy these throughout the day. Rooms are larger than usual in Paris - by 30 to 50 to even 100 square feet. We had an upgraded room and it was quite large with two sitting areas and a nice bath with shower, tub and water closet. Rainfall shower was very nice, bed and linens top shelf. Workout facility, which is rare. And with an upgraded room, a very ni w bottle of red wine! The real stars here, however, are the amazingly friendly staff. From freeing upon entry to helping with directions, restaurants, etc, the staff here is outstanding. Great for Americans and EVERYONE else. Price is very fair. This is an absolute gem just a few blocks from the Opera and right at Lafayette metro station of line 7, which whisks you to the opera or Louvre areas and is close to Gare d'lest and Gard du nord. Can't wait to come back!

Yelp
Beautiful Paris hotel on convenient and bustling rue la Fayette with excellent, but not over-bearing service. Good value.. Great luxury! We spent three days at this lux boutique five star hotel in Paris' bustling Opera district. The building is an ornate turn of the 20th Century old world style, which used to house a bank. The room: Beautiful room with wood accents, candied tiles in the bathrooms, and comfortable modern furniture. The room is small compared to newer hotel room Las Vegas standards, but two people will find it very comfortable. Large, very comfortable bed w/ lots of pillows. Sofa in the sitting area is also comfy for sleep. The toilet is a private separated room away from the main vanity and shower. There's a mini bar and fridge.. What a plus.. Caution though...If you indulge, you'll pay for the convenience premium. The room service meal is very good. I ordered the Hotel Banke cheese pizza and also nibbled on the turkey/ham club. Both outrageously good. Compared to room service in the USA in relation to taste, price and value, this room service is an excellent experience with a strong USD v. EUR. There are so many cafes in Paris, unfortunately, we did not have time to eat at their restaurant (Josefin) located in their lobby. The menu looked tempting. Need to try it next time. Service.. What can I say, excellent service everywhere through-out the hotel. . At doorman, bellman, check-in, room service, housekeeping.. The entire staff is Five Star quality. If you speak incredibly bad - Google translated French like me, do not fret. The staff members here have a strong command of the English language. You'll be fine. We will absolutely stay here again when I return to Paris. Oh, prime location too!

Yelp
I have stayed at most hotels in the neighborhood, including Grand Hotel, Scribe, Mariott Ambassadeurs, etc. This is by far my favorite: beautiful building, gym with excellent spin bikes, scored early check-in and a room upgrade as well. Tooms including nespresso coffee machine and steamer for your suits / dresses. Perfect throughout my whole stay (didn't try the food options though). Would absolutely come back.

Yelp
We stayed at Banke last month for a week-long vacation. Upon arrival, we decided to upgrade to a bigger room, the deluxe room. We were first taken to one deluxe room, but the host told us he had a bigger room available (the reason we were upgrading in the first place). Happy with our decision once we saw the room. Much bigger than the standard rooms. The room was extremely spacious, especially for a Paris hotel. Separate seating area and a nice WC. Service at the hotel was fantastic. The doorman that was there Wednesday - Sunday was fantastic! The only reason for taking a star away is due to the windows in our hotel room pointing towards the atrium of the hotel and not outside. Also worth mentioning, some of the best linens and towels I've had at a hotel!! All in all, great hotel with a fantastic location. You can walk everywhere or take the metro, which is right by the hotel.

Yelp
This hotel fell short of expectations as a 5 star hotel. When paying the premium to stay at a 5 start hotel, my expectations are that everything will exceed my expectations and be executed flawlessly. Unfortunately that was not the case at this hotel and we experienced many operational problems. The hotel itself is nice, but due to their inability to execute their operations, I would not recommend this hotel. The problems started at check-in. We reserved a premium room for 8 nights, but were told at check-in that they already sold out of all o f the premium rooms for the first night and we'd have to repack/unpack and change rooms the 2nd day, a big inconvenience. After getting to our downgraded room, they kept harassing us to come back down to the front desk because they forgot to process our credit card. I tried returning, but after seeing a long line and wanting to take a shower after a long flight from the US, I returned to my room. At that point they started calling and sending someone up to our room to make sure we were coming down. Throughout the visit, the internet at the hotel was not reliable and constantly failed. On one of the days, we got an early start and left the hotel at 7am and returned at 4pm, to find our room has not been cleaned. They started pestering us at 4:30pm that if they wanted our room cleaned then, we had to let them do it then, as their maids were leaving for they day, even though they had the entire day to service the room. Not a good experience when super tired from spending all day out and about in the city and just wanting to relax in a clean room and needing to leave for them to service it. When we booked the hotel, we prepaid through Expedia, which was inclusive of all taxes and fees. At checkout they insisted on charging us 53EUR for a "city tax" even though that I informed them that the rate I paid was inclusive of all taxes. I escalated this multiple times at the front desk and over email to their management, and they still refuse to issue a refund which has required me to escalate to Expedia and my credit card company for a dispute. Not what I would call a 5 star experience.

Yelp
Amazing! My new go to hotel in Paris. Food is great, as are rooms and service. Great part of town. Also just lovely, peaceful and quiet.

Yelp
Supposedly 5 star hotel in opera districtt 9th arrondissment in Paris but can not recommeend this place. Very expensive and unfortunately poor service. Rooms very small but I expected that. Very poor value. However the lobby is beautiful so stop into lobby bar for a drink but stay acros the streeet in a nicer room for 1/3 the price. Hotel Excelsior Opera. Much better room and service. Literally 1/2 block away and reasonably priced.

Yelp
AMAZING FIND! Banke Opera Hotel, recently acquired by Marriott, is amazing. An old bank building, it has been remodeled, but maintains an old, French flair. We were upgraded to a junior suite and enjoyed a huge room with separate sitting area, large bathroom with tub and marble floors throughout. Located near the Opera House and Galleries Lafayette, it's walking distance to all of the major sites of Paris. Don't pass up this charming hotel!!

Justin A.

Yelp
Expect to pay a lot more than the advertised room rate. Start with "turns out the room you reserved isn't actually available, would you like to pay a lot more for the room we do have available?" and then add in a bunch of extra fees they'll charge you because you "opted in" for "reduced rates" on hotel features you never used. Rooms include "amazing" amenities like: - False advertising on the size of the mattress in your room. - Fixtures that aren't actually attached to the wall. - Broken door handles the staff will refuse to address or repair. - Broken shower head that prevents proper adjustment.

Yelp
"I'm sleeping in the bathroom!" That's what my friend had to say when we checked in and saw the bathroom. It was that big. He's a size queen apparently. I emailed the hotel a few weeks before arriving that I wanted a room with a view of Sacré-Coeur. Instead, when we got to the front desk, I was informed that they're holding two rooms for us so that we can decide which one we prefer, one with the view or one with big windows. Bet you haven't been to a hotel that does this for you. To further make you jealous, see the picture of the hotel with the 3 oval windows on the topmost floor? Yes, that's the room. And any hotel that offers free WiFi or internet access deserves no less than 4 stars! Kudos to Juan with the front desk, and the bellhop team, and to housekeeping for changing our linens daily.

Yelp
This hotel was the perfect foundation to a great stay in Paris. It can be intimidating going to Paris without a commanding knowledge of the language, but the entire staff here speaks English and is very professional. (Still, it goes a very long way to know your French greetings and "Parlez-vous Anglais?") The hotel is located in the beautiful and safe 9th arrondissement (district), minutes from all of the famous sites. The front desk is more than happy to make sure a taxi is waiting for you at whatever time you request. In our case, we were just around the corner from the gorgeous Palais Garnier. We had breakfast here twice and room service for dinner once. Honestly, it's very difficult to have bad food in France. French cuisine is an art form. I would absolutely stay here again.

Yelp
This place was alright the rooms are decent-size, air conditioning worked well but he dripped water on floor, and toilet seat was broken. Staff very friendly. Location is great.

Yelp
This hotel was alright. Definitely a pretty lobby and convenient location. Staff were super friendly (5 star). We had an issue with our hot water not working for some time, so it was a bit inconvenient since we had been traveling and could't take a hot shower right away. Room was snug/smaller size. Don't think I would return here as I'd love to see other hotels in Paris

Yelp
I stay here often when I travel to Paris. Decent size rooms, clean and free wifi. I dont use many of services but breakfast is a nice buffer and it really quick to check in/out. Location is great and steps fro the Opera house and Galleries Lafayette.

Yelp
This is our second time staying here and we loved it even more. The rooms are spacious and well cared for. The staff is very friendly and attentive. The bar downstairs makes amazing drinks and has a fun bar staff. This is our new home away from home. This is our go to whenever we visit Paris again.

Yelp
Superb services and gorgeous hotel! Location was centralized to everything. Each room had different themes. The only downfall is that I had to take the metro to local areas since La Fayette shopping area is always flooded with tourists. I am not materialistic at all so didn't care for shopping there. I spent most of my time visiting local areas where local French people live. Booked the hotel there cause my husband was around the area for work. Otherwise, I would probably have chosen to stay at a diff location. I have stayed at many hotels in Paris, this was one of the top ones for sure.

Julie C.

Yelp
I was impressed by the website and my initial opinion upon arrival was of a unique interior and a friendly staff! The rooms are extremely small, even by Paris standards. There are no drawers in the rooms, so don't plan on completely unpacking. There is no coffee maker in the room which we have always had in any hotel, even in Paris. One morning we did order coffee and the 2-"shots" of coffee were barely warm and was 9 euros. There's also no iron or ironing board in the room but they'll be happy to press your clothes for a hefty price. The room was clean with nice materials used in the bathroom but the room's carpet was totally stained! The topper was that we decided to have a beer in the lobby bar after dinner one night and a RAT ran from the circular bar in the middle of the room to the wall and back to the bar. We mentioned it to the bartender who replied, "They're everywhere in Paris, Madame." Yikes! Interestingly, we have never encountered a rat elsewhere in Paris (although I have heard they are plentiful). Just not in a hotel I am staying in! We secured new accomodations the next day. As a side note to this: I posted the same review on TripAdvisor and the general manager, Greg Behn, responded by saying, "I have not so far found the details of your stay. It is a real shame that serious comments and accusations like yours are made anonymously with the only purpose of damaging the image of our hotel." Obviously he doesn't get the concept of Review Sites, nor does he state that anything will change. Just take care of your rats, Sir.

Virginie S.

Yelp
A unique location, close to galeries lafayette, close to a number of metro stations, one of my top 5 hotels in Paris. Great rooms (no desk tho), huge bathroom, nice bar and dining areas, and helpful international staff. I'll surely come back.
