Hotel Bantu By Faranda Boutique, a member of Radisson Individuals

I enjoyed a wonderful 6 days at the Bantu Boutique Hotel, a beautiful colonial building perfectly positioned in the old town. My King Studio was spacious and very comfortable with character features including stone walls and high ceilings. The hotel amenities are good but not "over the top" luxurious. For me this was spot on, the two swimming pools provided for good relaxation moments though I feel more could have been made of the roof top pool and bar area - more an observation than criticism. The hotel staff made me feel very welcome. Arnold on the front desk could not have been more helpful and provided some great recommendations. Herman "steered" the excellent breakfast buffet with an easy smile and relaxed charm and always a warm greeting to start the day. The hotels is close to some excellent restaurants and bars and including the best street food vendor I experienced in Colombia - all freshly made for locals and tourists alike.

Great location in the old town, once you find it. You are only a 2min walk from all the action , but the place is very quiet and tranquil. Staff were really nice and helpful. They have a pool on the roof and one on the ground floor, although we didn't have time to use them . Check in to your rooms from 3pm , but helpfully check out is at 1pm.

Aesthetically, this hotel is stunning. It’s well maintained and everything is clean and beautiful to the eye. The in-person staff is very friendly and extremely helpful. However, we did have issues on two levels. Firstly, as a couple we booked and paid for a room with a king bed and got a room with two double beds instead. Secondly, we attempted to contact a representative of the hotel prior to our stay to discover about the services offered and were referred to a secondary contact who then referred us back to the first person. Ultimately, no one was available or willing to respond. These two factors felt disappointing to us considering the calibre of the hotel. Fortunately, the beauty of the establishment made up for the latter in a large part, but it would have been nice to give it the five stars we hoped it would be.

We have stayed here many times over the years even back when Tattoo the keel billed tucan was in residence and hoppng up on the breakfast table to share my toast. The staff remembered us even after many years passed and the hotel still has that nice family feel. From the made to order breakfast toa splash in the roof top pool the place is filled with great memories fr us.

We enjoyed our 5-day stay at the hotel during a business trip. The hotel is neatly tucked away on a quiet and quaint street, in close proximity to many good restaurants and an easy walk to the sights of the walled city. ||The accommodations are a bit small but very clean, and the air conditioning works well. The rooftop pool and jacuzzi are also small but refreshing during the hot/humid day. The loud music from a few blocks away can be heard faintly at times but we did not think it impeded our sleep. ||The breakfast was very good. We also had dinner there one night which was also well prepared. The staff are the stars of this property - all are very kind and professional, especially German and Arnold.

Our room was nice but could use an update. The shower door doesn’t line up and water runs out and the screws look like it can come off the wall anytime. The floor tiles aren’t even for bare feet. Where are the hooks for the used bath towels? One of the cabinet doors opens on the wrong side and very hard to open to use. The staffs are great, so friendly and professional. The kitchen ladies could be a little warmer vs slightly indifferent. The location is perfect closed to everything but on a quiet street.

Lovely charming hotel, perfect location in a quiet street in the centre of the San Diego area. Warm and affable staff who go above and beyond in their courtesy, help and general service. Good rooms, lovely quiet courtyards and great pools.

Wonderful hotel almost all you could ask for. They gave a complimentary room upgrade with private access to the rooftop pool and jacuzzi. Beds and room was elegant colonial Colombia 🇨🇴 the only downside, was no hot water showers. I know it is Cartagena and always hot, but hot water definitely is one delight missing in this stay.
