Stayed at Nordlandet in June. The views and food were good, but overall, the experience was average, especially given the cost. At 3500kr per night, I expected exceptional service and quality.
Aside from the view and the semi-private balcony, the room was similar to other newer hotels in Scandinavia. The fireplace was out of order, which would have been nice during the heavy rain. There was no iron in the room, only a steamer on request, no full body mirror to check your outfit before you leave and slippers were an extra cost despite the seaside location. The staff service was basic and impersonal throughout the stay.
Breakfast was of high quality but had a limited selection and only offered drip coffee, no espressos or cappuccinos. With no room service available, we skipped breakfast on the second day and found alternatives.
All this might be aligned with the Hotels ambitions and standards, and while this might be okay in many cases we left disappointed and with two stars. One for the food and one for the view.
