Hotel Bar & Restaurant Nordlandet

We came to the restaurant for our after-wedding dinner, and the place was absolutely gorgeous, with a stunning sunset view to top it off. Alex, the restaurant manager, made sure everything was perfect from start to finish . The food was delicious, the service was flawless, and the whole evening felt really special. The moment that really blew us away was after dinner, when our taxi never showed up (it was a very busy Friday evening on Bornholm). Alex and the team went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable while waiting, and in the end, a team member even drove us back to our hotel himself. If that’s not five-star treatment, I don’t know what is.

Internet and TV didn’t work, and workers downstairs worked with hammers and drills until 6pm - and again from 8am. Not a very relaxing stay. Would not recommend. Nice views don’t make up for the rest.

We didn't stay at the hotel so I can't rate the rooms. But we went to the restaurant for an after-wedding dinner and I must say, the location was just perfect, the food was excellent and so was the service. So, both thumbs up!!!

We went with high expectations due to the location and positive reviews. Much to our regret, we encountered unprofessional service and prices higher than the average of other luxury hotels in the area. The staff seemed stressed and poorly organized. We had to ask for water four times and, surprisingly, the bill was incorrect, with items that didn't match the table order. One of the diners understood Danish, and unfortunately, the waitresses made racist comments about our group for being from America. An establishment of such renown should pay more attention to the details and address the lack of professionalism of the staff. The delicious food and unique views were unfortunately overshadowed by terrible service. We will never return. Thank you for a disastrous and expensive evening, Nordlandet.

The place is charming. The staff pleasant and kind. We have unfortunately booked in for 5 nights. 2 nights is sufficient. The restaurant has a menu that’s the same since we arrived. On our third night we failed to get a reservation elsewhere and this hotel could not offer us a last minute reservation. Even as in house guests booked for 5 nights. Not even dinner in our room ! The food served is fairly good with one bad experience .

Stayed at Nordlandet in June. The views and food were good, but overall, the experience was average, especially given the cost. At 3500kr per night, I expected exceptional service and quality. Aside from the view and the semi-private balcony, the room was similar to other newer hotels in Scandinavia. The fireplace was out of order, which would have been nice during the heavy rain. There was no iron in the room, only a steamer on request, no full body mirror to check your outfit before you leave and slippers were an extra cost despite the seaside location. The staff service was basic and impersonal throughout the stay. Breakfast was of high quality but had a limited selection and only offered drip coffee, no espressos or cappuccinos. With no room service available, we skipped breakfast on the second day and found alternatives. All this might be aligned with the Hotels ambitions and standards, and while this might be okay in many cases we left disappointed and with two stars. One for the food and one for the view.

Absolutely fantastic hotel! Without a doubt one of the top 3 we have stayed at in Denmark! The view was breathtaking, the room small but charming and extremely comfortable. All the important amenities included. And then really the most professional customer service both in the restaurant and reception! Would 100% visit again and give my warmest recommendations.
