Hotel Bären am Bundesplatz

A really lovely hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and warm. I stopped by at noon when walking through the area to let them know I would be arriving late, around 9pm, and amazingly my room was ready so I was able to drop stuff off. The room was a good size for one person, comfy bed. Breakfast was included and there was a very good selection of cereals, breads, croissants, jams, meats, cheeses, etc. The only thing that I didn't love was how loud the AC system was. At one point in the night I turned it off so I didn't have to listen to it anymore but since it was 27°C that day the room got quite hot again very quickly so I just had to live with it.

The staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. We especially appreciated the towel warmer in the bathroom. A coffee machine and a selection of herbal teas were available in the room. As a goodbye gift, we also received a small jar of aromatic salt...such a nice gesture! The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city. Absolutely recommended!

Its a great place to stay in Bern. The hotel has an excellent location, close to the station and walking distance from the city centre as well. The staff are incredibly sweet. The concierge was really warm and helpful with her tips to sightsee in Bern. They have free coffee and a free welcome drink (alcoholic/non alcoholic of your choice) which is amazing (and not seen in Switzerland tbh). Great place and value for money.

Delightful. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Jessica who rearranged our room for us. Some reviews talk about the street noise and ear plugs - which is true - but our room had very effective double glazing and super-quiet air conditioning. Great location for public transport and access to the historic centre. Don’t miss out on a float down the Aare if you’re here in the summer.

Friendly welcoming staff who enjoyed talking with guests. My room was noisy due to some mechanical sounds in ceiling and I was promptly given a different room. Great central location, some exterior noise but room had good sound insulation. Very nice breakfast. Free coffee etc anytime. Would stay here again.

Personnel and service are 4 star. No bicycles to use, but with the traffic dont get a bike. Everything is within walking distace! Grocery and pharmacy next door to hotel. Location is 5 star. Our room is extremely small! A cruise ship room is bigger!

Excellent staff who made us feel very welcome. Location is excellent - quiet in the city centre. Coffee available 24/7. Breakfast was good, but the highlight was the upgrade to a bigger room for me and my 2 children. We all profited! I would look to go back

Clean rooms and good standard. Service was good and prime location. We stayed at top floor and had only roof windows with no view. A proper four star hotel.
