Hotel Bären am Bundesplatz

Very nice hotel on an excellent location. Very friendly and helpfull staff, good rooms, a lot of choices for breakfast and the "Bären" theme through the hotel was adorable 😊 I can't think of anything I didn't like except the noisy street in front of the hotel. Apparently supply trucks and market stalls are busy there quite early in the morning. Obviously this is nothing the hotel can do anything about, they have isolating windows(when opened the noise is a lot worse) and even provide earplugs for the guests, which is very thoughtful. If you're a light sleeper, you might want to ask for a room not located on the street side. All in all a great hotel which I would certainly recommend!

We had a wonderful stay. The family room was spacious, featuring a connecting door in between. The staffs were friendly and it was just 7 mins walk to the train station. They even gave my son a football as a welcome gift, along with welcome drinks. They are definitely 4-star.

Great hotel in the center of the city. It was a 5 minute walk from the train station to the hotel. Everything was walking distance. The staff walls very friendly and kind. The breakfast was good! We loved the daily free beverage. There was a super cute farmers market outside the hotel on Saturday. Would definitely stay there again!

A really lovely hotel. The staff was incredibly friendly and warm. I stopped by at noon when walking through the area to let them know I would be arriving late, around 9pm, and amazingly my room was ready so I was able to drop stuff off. The room was a good size for one person, comfy bed. Breakfast was included and there was a very good selection of cereals, breads, croissants, jams, meats, cheeses, etc. The only thing that I didn't love was how loud the AC system was. At one point in the night I turned it off so I didn't have to listen to it anymore but since it was 27°C that day the room got quite hot again very quickly so I just had to live with it.

The staff was incredibly kind, helpful, and friendly. The room was very clean and comfortable. We especially appreciated the towel warmer in the bathroom. A coffee machine and a selection of herbal teas were available in the room. As a goodbye gift, we also received a small jar of aromatic salt...such a nice gesture! The location is perfect, right in the heart of the city. Absolutely recommended!

Great Location. Friendly staffs. Vera and Baljit are super friendly and helpful. Air-conditioner works great. Something to note that there is no fridge inside the room and water pressure is a bit too slow. However, these doesn't bother us we still enjoy our stay.:) thank you.

Its a great place to stay in Bern. The hotel has an excellent location, close to the station and walking distance from the city centre as well. The staff are incredibly sweet. The concierge was really warm and helpful with her tips to sightsee in Bern. They have free coffee and a free welcome drink (alcoholic/non alcoholic of your choice) which is amazing (and not seen in Switzerland tbh). Great place and value for money.

Delightful. Very friendly and helpful staff, especially Jessica who rearranged our room for us. Some reviews talk about the street noise and ear plugs - which is true - but our room had very effective double glazing and super-quiet air conditioning. Great location for public transport and access to the historic centre. Don’t miss out on a float down the Aare if you’re here in the summer.
