Hotel Bären

The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, which made up for the hotel’s dated appearance. It had a charming, old-world feel—great if that’s your style. That said, the hotel looked exactly as it did in the website photos. I think my expectations were just higher because hotels in St. Moritz were more expensive than in other towns on our trip.

Everything in the hotel is decent beside the breakfast that feels like stopped back in time. If you’re vegan vegetarian or simply wants mix breakfast forget about dining here. ONE MORE THING I NEVER EVER IN MY LIFE AND I LIVE STAYING AT HOTELS SINCE IM A BABY I SAW THAT YOU NEED TO PAY EXTRA FOR AN OMLETTE😂 is it a joke ?

Would recommend this place as it was the best on our Cosmos Tour of Budget Hotels. The rooms were clean and the food tasty which is hard to say as every other place in Switzerland was crap.

Great hotel, they offer a lift from the train station so make sure you take it as it is quite a distance up hill. The rooms are nice, the service is great, the breakfast is lovely. The altitude is quite high here so it's not too good for elderly people.

We had an excellent stay at this hotel. Very friendly staff. They were very helpfull to get us taxi's or suggestions for restaurants in the village. Good food. Excellent choice for breakfast. Only downside, the pool is not heated ;)

This hotel ha moderately large rooms for European standards for three star hotels, with wooded panel walls and it sits at a hill, so not conducive to walking if coming from the lake and/or train station. There is a bus that goes up there with a stop almost in front of the hotel. Otherwise, one needs a taxi. The negative point is that there is no air conditioned. I also found the beds too soft. The breakfast offered is good and the staff courteous. The room is carpeted but in an old style. However, it is clean, modest, adequate for this city well known to be a magnet for the rich and famous.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Bären. We stayed for 2+ nights so the hotel provided us with two Engadin travel passes which gave us free transportation around the area (including trains, buses, and even cable cars!). That was definitely a huge perk, we made the most of that travel card with lots of cable car/incline trips. There is so much to do around St. Moritz, and this hotel was a pretty good location for everything. It’s only a 15 minute walk from the train station (but be ready for a steep uphill climb) and it had good views and was a short walk from many restaurants. The pool/sauna was closed when we were there, but I’m sure that would have added to the great experience.

Excellent hotel. Great location. Friendly staff. Comfortable and easy access to center and slopes. Bus stop in front. Walking distance to center. With short cut walking trail to the lake. I gave 4 because in every business there's always a room for improvement.
