We stayed here two nights on Swiss rail tour.. Hotel has significant character being over 100 years old.. ||Our room was quite charming, 4th floor room with balcony overlooking the town with great mountain views! ||Room was very clean, beds were very comfortable. Only thing missing was there was no kettle for tea.. I did ask at front desk and they provided one with cups.. ||We ate two dinners here, great service and food was quite good.. the breakfast room was large and there were decent selections. However, it needs some changes.. first breakfast place I’ve ever seen without a toaster.. breads yes, but no toaster.. |And no cheese platters which are the norm in Switzerland! ||The breakfast that was available was fine and adequate.. ||Location is okay here, buses come by for transport.. steep hills to walk up from lower town so one must be aware. We walked it and it’s doable for many but certainly not for folks with mobility issues..

Check in was easy and the lady working the desk was funny and helpful. Our room is basic but clean and with a cute balcony. If you are looking for a quiet area this may not be for you because it's right in front of the train station in the middle of town.

The positive of the hotel: Location is convenient and a short ride (not walk) from the train station. The negative: The staff was not accommodating to travel issues we were having, the property is historical but not very comfortable (bed, bathroom, etc), and the food was not very good compared to the multiple hotels we stayed in across Switzerland. I would not recommend a stay here for the prices they charge.

The history and ambiance of this hotel makes it a unique way to experience St Moritz. The location makes it easy to get places because it’s right on the bus line with its own stop. It has a restaurant and bar with good food and a variety of beverages. The service was great, everyone was helpful and friendly. The rooms are comfortable, mine even had its own balcony and the rooms have actual keys! I would stay here again!

Nice location, just opposite the Cresta Run and within walking distance of the village centre. Lovely views. Rooms were a bit small and stuffy, but breakfast was nice. This is an older building which only has hexagonal plug sockets, but reception will lend you an adaptor if you haven't got the right one. Staff were very nice.

We stayed for 2 nights as part of a Cosmos train tour of Switzerland. The hotel is old fashioned but cosy and the staff are friendly. My room was nice but the bathroom was tiny, others had more room so luck of the draw I guess. The 2 waiters in the restaurant were so lovely and the food was very good.

Lovely experience. First of all: it's the people. the gentleman on the desk was really kind and covered everything well at check in, which was nice as I was arriving late.|Others will criticise that it's an older building, but it actually has character and a quirkiness and an authenticity . If you want a chain hotel generic 4 to 5 star experience, then go elsewhere.|this actually seemed what I would have thought of as Swiss experience..||The Downsides: The room was small, but you get what you pay for and it was really all I wanted. Breakfast could have been a little more imaginative and a bit more modern - - - but it was only CHF 15. I think in most places an option on Low fat milk would be nice. Scrambled eggs were overdone (but hard to get right anywhere unless cooked from start,) and the tureen was very very oddly placed in the room.|Pet peeve, the Orangejuice tasted like "concentrated Orange Juice:, whereas I think most people would expect "not from concentrate".|Everything was scrupulously clean, if older, and a nice redevelopment effort within the confines of the building, though I'm not sure I'd have used the log like coffee tables in the room which are more like an obstruction to trip over.|Notwithstanding it was St Moritz, the pricing was high,||Overall a really really good experience. I'd love to go back sometime. They're very tuned into that a lot of their client group will be for the Glacier Express and they offered I think free transfer for the train timings, but it was only a 25 min walk

We really enjoyed our stay. The facility and staff were very nice. We would go there again. The location was near the crusta and bobsled. The bus transportation was easy. The spa and pool and fitness center was very nice. We enjoy eating numerous meals at the restaurant. We recommend including the breakfast buffet.

Yelp
Excellent hotel. Great location. Friendly staff. Comfortable and easy access to center and slopes. Bus stop in front. Walking distance to center. With short cut walking trail to the lake. I gave 4 because in every business there's always a room for improvement.
