Barolo is one of the most beautiful wine regions in the World and the views from the Hotel Barolo are a great introduction to what the region has to offer. The Reception staff were most welcoming and although our room was in another section of the hotel it was easy to access. Our room was not large, but it had all the facilities, a nice large bed and a stand-up shower. It was very adequate. Importantly, the Hotel Barolo is ideally located if visiting the wineries in the region is your aim. The breakfast room offers good choices and the Brezza Restaurant in the Hotel is highly recommended.

Although the views are nice, rooms large (many with balconies) the breakfast plentiful, my number one reason for the 2 stars is because I am involved with rescue and love animals. the female owner keeps her young poor little jack russle terrier dog in this large cage in the parking lot that has water bowls and a little wood dog house but has wood floors, no heat, no toys, no blankets, no soft bedding, no proper lighting, long days alone with little interaction, alone large part of the days, at night and overnight in the dark while they are in their warm home and its freezing outside!!!! WHY DOES SHE OWN A DOG?! Seeing this is very upsetting and to have to see this day and night right out in the open and by the entrance to the hotel?! I tried talking to her granddaughter and all she did was get nasty. This is NO life for a pet!!! I hope they dont keep this pup there during the extreme weather months, the pup will surely NOT SURVIVE! Other downfalls, shower stall is user unfriendly and small, not many electrical outlets, bedding and pillows not comfortable, tv service not working, horrible and very slow wifi, furniture quite worn, hallway lights on short timed motion sensors, so if youre not quick enough you can get caught in complete darkness. Horrific update, I just learned this poor sweet pup escaped and got hit and killed. HORRIBLE AND VERY SAD. IF THEY TOOK PROPER CARE OF HIM THIS WOULD NOT HAVE HAPPENED.

Very nice hotel with an excellent breakfast. We stayed 4 nights with a room in the new building and we are very satisfied. The only negative part was the lack of restaurants that where open in the evenings, we found a pizzeria and the hotel restaurant.

One of the most beautiful views we’ve seen from a hotel room. The pool was beautiful and staff around the pool do their best to offer you a bed depending on the number of bookings that day. The pool area is run independently, so is used by other tourists in the region and locals. This gave it a great atmosphere, but it was busy compared to other hotel pools and hotel guests aren’t prioritised for beds. Breakfast was as good as everywhere else we visited in Italy. Lovely size room and perfect for our 4 day trip. Easy to walk to the rest of the town and a short drive to many other beautiful towns in the area.

First Impressions||Nestled amongst the vines in the village of Barolo this traditional Italian hotel with views over the village and the vineyards is ideal place to stay if you are touring the region. The welcome was friendly and the staff were very accommodating. ||||The Rooms & Facilities.||The rooms were spacious and very traditional and are decorated in a clean and non fussy manner. The bed was comfortable and the bed linen was spotless. The bathroom has a shower curtain than a door but the water is hot and plentiful. This is a lovely place to stay and the family are very accommodating. The TV is dated but why be in the room when you can be drinking out on the balcony that overlooks the village and vineyards. There is a great pool with a bar area and sunbeds. The hotel restaurant is good and serves traditional local cuisine. ||||Service.||The service was excellent, all the staff were very accommodating and nothing was too much trouble. ||Overall||I enjoyed my stay here it was a great hotel with first class service and I would not hesitate in returning. ||||Service- 9/10||The Food- 8/10||Room - 9/10||Facilities - 9/10||Value for Money - 9/10. ||||Would I return - Yes

This is a rural hotel with very nice views of the hills and vineyards. |The rooms are very run down. They need new beds, linens and a fresh coat of paint. |Thankfully there is a balcony so the doors can be left open for fresh air because it is very musty. ||

This is a very comfortable hotel with a pool (though that was frozen over when I stayed) and a great breakfast selection. It's family run and friendly and helpful. I also found it great value, especially compared to similar places in other beautiful wine towns. Oh, did I mention the views? Stunning. Highly recommended.
