Hotel Basel

Was really really happy that they were so accommodating with our two last-minute early check-in requests. They also graciously held our luggage for 5 days while we were on a river cruise. Love the attached bar and restaurant and the breakfast room is wonderful. Rooms are small but absolutely do the job and were spotless. Mattresses a bit hard for our liking but overall another excellent stay and will book again!

On the outside it looks a bit old and not renovated. Not good for wheelchairs The rooms a nice, updated, comfortable bed. Bathroom design very cool, fun with the windows in the shower. A bit small the room, but ok. Was very clean Would go again Location very good

Well situated in the centre of Basel, within walking distance of everything you could need and some good restaurants. The staff were very welcoming. The rooms are ageing slightly and so a little tatty round the edges but the price quality ratio is great. The breakfast isn’t recommended but everything else about our stay was smooth and pleasant.

Great location but many lights in room did not work and coffee maker leaked / was broken. Hotel staff was alright but not helpful when asked about where to go in the city. It was my sisters birthday and they didn’t offer anything to celebrate her. Nice views from room.

Modern hotel, very clean and quiet, attractive rooms, friendly staff. Location is absolutely great if you want to visit Basel Old Town, everything is within easy walking distance. Basel Old Town is great to visit, shops, restaurants, architecture, historic sites. We came a day early for a Rhine cruise with no knowledge of Basel. We thoroughly enjoyed our time here.

This is a well-run beautiful hotel with a great staff. The location could not be better. Breakfast is superb and the waitstaff attentive and accommodating. The hotel has several elegant restaurants with enticing menu choices at fair prices. We will stay here again.

Perfect location, staff was helpful. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend this hotel. A good breakfast selection. We were attended to by a cheerful young lady.

A basic hotel in a great location. We stayed in a Premium Double room with one baby and one child of 3yo and it was provided with every single detail for a family. Breakfast was small but still ok, the best, the service, we had a great experience thanls to Francisco, someone who knows well how to do his job. Staff in general very helpfull and friendly. We d come back!

Great location! Fresh, clean, modern boutique hotel with 4 restaurants in a great shopping and dining neighborhood ready for postcard quality pictures around every corner. Staff are attentive without being intrusive multi-lingual and helpful when asked. The rooms are tastefully appointed with lots of nice touches like complimentary slippers, green water and toiletries, and an espresso cup machine and both sparkling and spring water bottles chilling in the mini fridge when you arrive.

Friendly people, big room, clean, have us a cocktail, great location. Everything was perfect!

We absolutely loved staying at this modern but intimate hotel in the heart of Basel. A stone's throw from the market plaza, this pedestrian district of Basel was a great home base for our stay. The amenities and hospitality made us comfortable -- offering a Nespresso machine in every room, and down alternative pillows. The staff even paid for our parking since we didn't yet have currency! A nice, satisfying, breakfast and great water pressure helped us kick our jet lag. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again, and appreciated the many amenities including the hotel restaurant which offered seasonal farm-to-table fare.

Perfectly located right in the middle of everything we planned to see and only 1/4 block from the Rathaus and Marketplatz (Farmers Market). Cleanliness - exceptional. Staff Friendliness & Helpfulness - exceptional. It was completely and totally quiet, NO outside noise at all, we were in room 417 but I have doubt there would be street noise from any room just because the hotel is on a small street (Munzgasse ... gasse means small street). They thought of EVERYTHING in the room INCLUDING A BEDTIME STORY laid out on the bed! They gave us a free bus pass and a free drink at their bar. The minibar had water and coke and beer for free complete with real glasses to drink out of. They had an umbrella in the room and a hair dryer and a mini sewing kit and ear plugs and a safe and slippers and a clothesline in the shower and a magnifying mirror and a mat to lay on the floor beside your bed and the most storage I've ever seen in a hotel room. The bed was on the firm side and very comfortable. There was also a nice size desk in the room with a chair for the desk and another chair. We arrived early and they took great care of our bags. It's Switzerland and you can even drink the water out of the tap! I'm very, very impressed with this hotel and recommend it very highly. The only suggestion I have is to bring a nightlight for the bathroom.
