Good stay for fair money. Staff is nice and ready to help. Location is exceptional. Busy but safe street in the heart of Montmarte. Hotel is stylish and well decorated. I’ve got small and cozy rooftop room with beautiful view, but it wasn’t clened properly. Overall I enjoyed stay here and would recommend people with not ultra high expectations.

Best possible location for this lovely hotel. The staff are wonderful and go out of their way to help. Rooms are smart and clean. Super king sized bed was very comfortable. Shower cubicle a little too small. Great to have tea and coffee available all the time at no extra cost also a high quality kettle in the room. We have now stayed on 3 occasions and will be back.

I first visited Hotel Basss a year ago, and this year I was delighted to return after its renovation. The hotel is now beautifully decorated in soothing beige tones, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. While the rooms and bathrooms are quite small, they are incredibly charming. One of my favorite things about the hotel is the coffee – it’s simply fantastic! You can even grab a takeaway cup at any time, which is such a lovely touch.

I had an amazing experience staying at Hotel Basss! I was celebrating my birthday and the entire team made sure my day was special by decorating my room and providing me with a cake. The room was the perfect size for one person and I loved the decor. The location was perfect and a short walk to two metro stations which I used often.

Loved our stay here. We had the spacy room with a very large double and a sofa bed for our teenage son. Great view onto the street, very clean, comfortable beds, air con, large double shower. The staff are friendly, helpful and welcoming. Fantastic range of shops including supermarkets, ice cream, posh chocolates, clothes, etc., plus cafes, restaurants - all on the door step. Recommend La Chinon for friendly service, and good food that's reasonably priced.Short walk to metro. Highly recommend.

The room was extremely basic, not even a mini bar or closet ( they put some bar with hangers for clothes). Bed was normal and it was clean. There is some imitation of steps acting like your bedside tables, but you can barely put anything there, it’s to small that their phone can’t fit safely, it’s larger than the surface where they put it 😂 Bathroom seemed to be planned for children only, tiny, the smallest bathroom I ever saw in my life. The sink was to small that I couldn’t wash my face and they also fitted a glass little shelf just above it, so it was impossible to use it in a normal way. One morning I was sleepy and wanted to use the bathroom, I hit my head hard on the opposite wall while trying to sit on the toilet sit- its so small. My room was facing inside and all fumes from the restaurants exhausts made impossible to even open my window. I could open it only after 2am to get some air. The last day my foot hurt and I asked the guy at the reception if I can get an extra towel and I explained that I am in pain. I wanted to put a cold compress on my foot to make it better. He said to me he has something to finish and he will bring it after. He never did. I guess it’s safe to say that I will not be going back.

Beautiful little hotel - yes the room we had was small but the bed was enormous!! The bathroom was very clean and the room was serviced every day. All the staff were very friendly and helpful. If you love Montmarte highly recommend staying here. It is directly on Rue Abbesses which is very beautiful and has lots of brasseries - not too touristy unlike other parts of Paris.

Yelp
Excellent, charming boutique hotel in the heart of Montmartre. Rooms are a good size (especially for Paris), with comfortable beds and a decent amount of places to hang clothes. Bathroom was immaculate with a nice shower. Front desk staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. Hard to beat the location, in the heart of Montmartre. Tons of great little cafes and pastry shops (but the restaurants and bars open late into the night, so be aware that you might hear a lot of happy people when you're getting ready for bed). 10 minute walk to Sacre-Coeur (and the walk itself is really scenic and pleasant), 5-6 minute walk to nearby Metro stops like Blanche and Abbesses. Be aware that the walk from Blanche is a little uphill, and the Abbesses station has a seemingly endless staircase (so use the lift there). The only negative I encountered was that the ground floor (where the front desk and breakfast cafe is) often had a bathroom-y smell. This did not extend to the upper floors where the guest rooms are. But overall, I would highly recommend this hotel, and I would also highly recommend staying in Montmartre when visiting Paris.

Yelp
I found a GREAT deal on Travelzoo for the hotel Basss, which I had to prepay, but that was fine! I was a little reticent to stay in the Montemarte, as it is a bit of hike from the traditional tourist spots, but I ended up LOVING it. The charming neighborhood feel was well worth the 20 minute or so metro ride into town. (A couple of nights we took taxis, which were about 15 euros from the center of paris.) The hotel itself is small, but totally fit our needs. On trip advisor there are lots of complaints about room sizes, but I think we lucked out and had a room on the 6th (top) floor, which had an adorable balcony overlooking the rooftops of Montemarte! Such a dream. Yes, the room was smaller than you are probably used to, with limited storage for clothes, but the bathroom was sized well and the wifi was great. All the employees were super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast spread was honestly great and super filling. I would totally recommend this place to friends travelling to Paris, especially if you can get a great deal

Yelp
Hotel staff is lovely, very helpful, and speak English pretty well. The hotel is clean and modern, and in a terrific spot in Montmartre - walking distance from Sacré-Cœur, as well as Pigalle, which has Moulin Rouge and other fun sights. Metro from both Blanche and Pigalle stops are really close. Side note: the hotel rooms are SUPER small. Pack light. Would recommend this place 100%.
