Hôtel BASSS

We had an excellent stay at Hotel Basss. My wife and I were very pleased with all aspects of our stay. The hotel is not a 5 star but it is not intended to be. It has good clean rooms. The hotel is very quiet. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The lady working the breakfast bar was exceptionally helpful. We would stay again any time.

I have now stayed here three times as I was hoping my experience would be turned around. First stay was wonderful no complaints, but second and third are far from what was experienced on the first stay. Second stay the room was dirty and filled with marks and room was in poor condition which was strange for a hotel that was recently renovated. I was the. Assured from management that on the next stay further attention would be given. Having emailed the manager prior to arriving empty promises again. Firstly, on the third visit was assured that a gesture would be made on the rate or an upgrade on the room, neither were actioned on the day which if it was never the intention why suggest it? And secondly on check out day 12:01 called and harassed to vacate the room by the time I took the majority of the suitcases down (we had 8 bags) I was told that for an extra hour we they charge 50 euros, I suggested I am happy to pay the 50 euros which then became further issue that it wasn’t about the 50 euros…which if it wasn’t about the 50 euros why mention it again? I understand there was a high turnover in preparing rooms for next customer but house keeping were on the third floor and not even a mouse could be seen on the 6th with staff desperately scrambling to get access to the room which was not the case. After giving this hotel further 2 chances needless to say I won’t ever be coming back. It is a shame it couldn’t continue from the first stay as I really had a lovely time but the next two reservations were Incredibly disappointing

Everything about Hotel Basss was perfect. All the staff were very friendly & helpful. The rooms were clean. The location was perfect. Thank you for the best experience for me & my husband's first time in Paris.

By far the best hotel in Paris. The personal was really kind, the room was clean, big and comfortable. The breakfast was a great way to start the day and was constantly refilled so we never had to worry about not getting food. The coffee machine at the lobby was my favorite thing after walking around Paris. The hotel is well located and accessible to walk, with a lot of restaurants and shop nearby.

Lovely boutique hotel in the heart of the Montmartre. I was very pleased to see they had a single room and that the price was incredibly reasonable for Paris at the height of summer. And the single room is a good size and very comfortable. The staff were all very friendly. This will definitely be my go-to hotel in Paris from now on.

My stay at Hotel Basss was excellent. The staff were lovely and so helpful, giving great local restaurant recommendations. The room was slightly smaller than expected but perfectly clean and had all the amenities I could need. The bed was super comfy and the shower pressure was great. The hotel is incredible well-situated on a gorgeous and lively street in Montmarte with loads of restaurants and bars on the doorstep. I would highly recommend and will definitely be staying again if I ever return to the area!

Loved this Hotel! Perfect. In a beautiful street next to bars and cafes. Lots of locals and tourusts. Felt very safe. Beautiful metro. We were given the bottom floor which is an accessible room for wheelchairs as no other room was available. Because of this it had plenty space and a large shower room /wc. A lovely little private terrace in the hotel was just outside our room , it has s secure entrance . Our window opened up onto it and only we used it.The room was very peaceful with black out curtains. We slept very well! Staff are very welcoming,friendly and helpful. Free coffee from the machine. Very clean comfortable bed, made up every day. We will return. No faults. Thank you for a great stay.

Stayed here June ‘25 in a Superior room with King bed and sofa bed. Room was spacious and looked newly renovated with air conditioning and a good sized bathroom with a large walk-in shower. Staff were very helpful and polite. The hotel is in an excellent location in Montmartre, a lovely part of Paris with more of a village feel and it’s surrounded by excellent restaurants and bars. It’s on a busy street of eateries but not much traffic and the windows provide excellent soundproofing. We will 100% stay here again on our next trip to Paris.

Excellent, charming boutique hotel in the heart of Montmartre. Rooms are a good size (especially for Paris), with comfortable beds and a decent amount of places to hang clothes. Bathroom was immaculate with a nice shower. Front desk staff were uniformly friendly and helpful. Hard to beat the location, in the heart of Montmartre. Tons of great little cafes and pastry shops (but the restaurants and bars open late into the night, so be aware that you might hear a lot of happy people when you're getting ready for bed). 10 minute walk to Sacre-Coeur (and the walk itself is really scenic and pleasant), 5-6 minute walk to nearby Metro stops like Blanche and Abbesses. Be aware that the walk from Blanche is a little uphill, and the Abbesses station has a seemingly endless staircase (so use the lift there). The only negative I encountered was that the ground floor (where the front desk and breakfast cafe is) often had a bathroom-y smell. This did not extend to the upper floors where the guest rooms are. But overall, I would highly recommend this hotel, and I would also highly recommend staying in Montmartre when visiting Paris.

I found a GREAT deal on Travelzoo for the hotel Basss, which I had to prepay, but that was fine! I was a little reticent to stay in the Montemarte, as it is a bit of hike from the traditional tourist spots, but I ended up LOVING it. The charming neighborhood feel was well worth the 20 minute or so metro ride into town. (A couple of nights we took taxis, which were about 15 euros from the center of paris.) The hotel itself is small, but totally fit our needs. On trip advisor there are lots of complaints about room sizes, but I think we lucked out and had a room on the 6th (top) floor, which had an adorable balcony overlooking the rooftops of Montemarte! Such a dream. Yes, the room was smaller than you are probably used to, with limited storage for clothes, but the bathroom was sized well and the wifi was great. All the employees were super friendly and helpful, and the breakfast spread was honestly great and super filling. I would totally recommend this place to friends travelling to Paris, especially if you can get a great deal

Hotel staff is lovely, very helpful, and speak English pretty well. The hotel is clean and modern, and in a terrific spot in Montmartre - walking distance from Sacré-Cœur, as well as Pigalle, which has Moulin Rouge and other fun sights. Metro from both Blanche and Pigalle stops are really close. Side note: the hotel rooms are SUPER small. Pack light. Would recommend this place 100%.
