I traveled through Germany for several weeks as a teacher this spring, and this spot (and Ulm) became a bit of my refuge when traveling became exhausting. The rooms were spacious, very clean, and provided everything you might need. The breakfast was huge with bread, meat, eggs, fresh juice, etc. The first two times I stayed I was on the street side of the building (just a tiny street with mostly pedestrian traffic), and the last was facing the cathedral which was both good and not so good. The view of the cathedral was amazing, but because it was quite warm during the night, I slept with the window open and, as a light sleeper, I woke to the bells chiming every 15-30 minutes. So, if a light sleeper, ask for a room on the opposite side, which still has lovely views. Great little university town with much to do within walking distance. Also, the little cafe next door has great sweets, coffee, and beverages.
