Hotel Baylan

My wife and I stayed at this hotel for three nights with our daugher and dog. At first it feels like the hotel's in the backstreets of Izmir but actually it's located just on the boundary of a lot of amenities, markets – it's also a short walk from the sea. There is a lovely 24/7 bakery serving fresh sweet and savoury delights just a couple of minutes from the hotel. The staff were really warm and friendly. The car park is secure and is attended. Our room was cleaned well every day and breakfast was good. We stayed in December and we did find the room quite warm so we opened the window at night.

Hotel with parking, located in the center of Izmir near the train station. Good breakfast. However, the night was horrible, even with earplugs, because of the noise generated by machinery. We were in room 105. Unfortunately, the call to the receptionist did not solve the problem. The noise stopped at 0:40 and started again at 4:00 in the morning

We stayed in the Hotel Baylan, Izmir, Turkey with family in March 2019. Our stay at hotel was exceptionally good. The staff especially at the reception were incredibly very polite and cooperative. Location was excellent, located Infront of Basmane Railway Station with number of food outlets. We took train from this railway station to Ephesus. The rooms was spacious and with full of amenities. The room service was prompt and efficient. Kettle was there in the room to make tea or coffee. Bathroom was also spacious and nice. Overall, my experience was good in every aspect. I would recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Izmir for its beautiful location with number of Turkish food outlets.

The hotel and the personnel are wonderful. The only problem is the location. Not because it is a dangerous place but it is not easy find upscale restaurants. Other wise, it's not a bad location. The hotel has a parking lot. I highly recommend for a tight budget travel.

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was spacious with all necessaries. he bads are very comfy. The breakfast is continental and delicious.||Hotel Baylan is located near metro station and 20 walk min from seaside.||It was a pleasant and comfortable time at hotel Baylan.

I would like to give 0 star if I can. We booked 2 rooms In Room A, the lights are so dim, can't even read a book or work on my laptop computer. In Room B, the Air con is not working. We set it to 18C, the room is not cool at all. Front desk came upstairs, set it to 23C, claims it's working and ask us to wait for 10 mins. Of course it's not. Called front desk again, another staff came, blame us it's not cooling because we set it to 23C. He set it to 18C and says it works. We asked them to change to a different room, they refused. We asked them to provide a fan, they had none. What a joke. It was an very unpleasant sweating night. The Wifi is constantly disconnecting, and really slow, like only 100kb/s when I was trying to download an attachment from my gmail. Can't even watch youtube. I paid extra and booked a double bed room. Turned out their double bed are 2 single beds. When I sleep in the middle, I can feel the edges and unbalance of 2 single beds. Their curtains do not block sunlight. My room faces the East and it is as bright as outdoor when the sun rise. Don't waste your money in this hotel.

Lovely place, personal and professional, good breakfast, very nice beds, well equipped rooms and bath. all clean, perfect staff on every place. We love the area around, smart Konak and Basmane, colorful. They also have a garden, you can sit and relax. Only thing to remark: Please stop smoking in the hotel.

Spent two nights at this hotel. We were surprised by the fact that it allows guests to smoke inside the hotel and the rooms, which makes the smell of cigars be everywhere. We asked to change the room and they gave us another one with the same smell.||The hotel is very central which is nice during day time but not that nice during night time. Breakfast is ok. If t weren't by the smell of cigar, it could be a very reasonable stay as its price is very competitive.
