I love this place. The staff is soooo friendly and go out of there way to make everyone's stay the best it would be. From the management all the way to the gardeners. The place is very clean and well maintained. I've noticed every time I come ( and it's more often now that im retired), that they have been improving the entire place since covid. I'd recommend you come see for your self. Come and enjoy your self. |P.S...it's super safe

Villa Cuba is an amazing hotel. Beautiful beach and always something to do, programs throughout the day and great shows every night. All the staff were nice to us every time. Definitely coming back.

Great little quiet resort! Everything very close by! The beach is amazing! Staff very friendly! The food was a lot tastier than when I was in Cuba a few years ago. Bottled water no shortage. The maid La Mora went over And beyond to make our stay comfortable. Her creativity put smiles on our face|each day we walked in the room and seen her art!! Thank you thank you thank you to all staff We will definitely be back on our next adventure!! |Stacie & Mike

I would go back in a heartbeat!|The beach was perfect and the water was unbelievably warm and swimable, even for small children. The grounds and pool were well-kept and cleaned regularly. The shows were well done and unique (water ballet, magic show, etc.). The AC in the rooms was consistent and kept us nice and cool and I appreciated the mini fridge in the room. Beds were comfortable. They supplied us with a good amount of bottled water in the room. Service was good, but almost no fluent English-speaking workers (this is different from the last 2 times I went to Cuba - 2014 and 2019). There were always shaded lounge chairs available at the beach and it was never crowded. Food is simple and whatever is in season at the time -- I didn't know you could prepare pumpkin that many ways (ha ha). It was very, very peaceful. ||It still was Cuba, though, so be prepared to manage your expectations. My first impression was "YIKES!" when we got there. There were 7 short power outages on the first day and the room was rustic at best -- dirty grout, dirty shower curtain, broken safe, broken bedside table, etc. Extra pillow in the closet was sour and moldy. Food was a bit of a situation since they almost always ran out of afternoon snacks (leftover sandwiches and pancakes). They ran out of Cola one day. No tea. My son found barbeque bristles in his pasta-- thankfully, he picked them out of his mouth and didn't swallow them. All of the other Canadian travelers we met had the same digestive issues as my family of 4 -- 2 days of frequent visits to the washroom. The positives definitely outweighed the negatives, though. We had a great vacation!!

Since May 1st 2023 the hotel chain of Be Live Experience have left Cuba. This hotel is now known by its original name of Villa Cuba Hotel or Hotel Villa Cuba. This is a hotel through all of the trials and tribulations of the past year which has plagued Cuba is still an outstanding hotel run by the best and most caring staff. There are difficulties and the biggest one is the elevators that have a mind of their own as to whether they will work or not. A word to anyone mobility challenged this may not be a perfect match. Saying that while we were there in April we saw 2 families who had family members in wheel chairs and some how they managed to get up and down. Once again the beach is spotless and tourists are helping by picking up after themselves. The gardens have never looked lovelier with flowers in bloom all over the gardens and the scents of them wonderful. The rum and beer was flowing and no shortages here. Eggs served every which way possible available at breakfast even crepes if one wanted to line up. Flour is in shortage but fresh breads and buns served at breakfast and lunch. No french fries, hot dogs and hamburgers but restaurant on the beach El Sitio ( maitre Ramon ) had a nice buffet and al la carte, pool bar Yoskiel and Taimey ) had sandwiches and omelet's to tempt everyone. Buffet at lunch had pasta's with all sorts of tempting sauces. The new director of the hotel is trying hard to make this hotel home to everyone encouraging repeaters to come out and enjoy events. A wonderful meet and greet at the pool bar with great music and dancing and cocktails to whet everyone pallet. ( thank you Dania and Madelyn for arranging that event ) It was wonderful to talk to friends we have met over the years and listen to great Cuban music. The Canadian dinner was delicious and served perfectly. New entertainer sang beautifully. The lobby coffee bar is a great place to meet and plan the day. And the lobby bar a great place to just relax before or after dinner having a wonderfully prepared cocktail. Thank you Corso, Evidio and Gordeio. Yes, its an old hotel 1997 and it has some issue's but the people of Cuba, the beach, the gardens we 4 are already planning 2025. Thank you one and all for a wonderful 2 weeks. Even the weather was perfect. gracias.

The hotel needs renovation as soon as possible as the rooms are in bad condition. The receptionists needs to be trained to provide a descent service and learn how to communicate with each other because the miscommunication between them created many issues for me during my staying. My room was not cleaned properly before my arrival, i found trash from previous guests and many insects. The food was ok, the beach at the hotel is amazing. The waiters and bar staff were provided good and fast service.

We had a lovely time and the people of the resort are wonderful. However, sleeping is an issue; noise is one with people partying until 3 in the morning and nothing was done until the 6th night when I said I would call the police myself next time. If it wasn't for the noise, the bedbugs would make sleeping a chore. Talking with other tourists I found five other rooms/ villas had them, it was easy to see all the people with bites on their legs and arms. I first thought it was ants as they were crawling on the bed and in the bathroom but the spray I had stopped them and mosquitoes unfortunately not the bedbugs.||The food isn't the greatest but Cuba is in financial trouble and importing food and other items is slow. The chefs try their best some are heavyhanded with the salt. |This resort isn't very handicap accessible with multi-level floors some only reachable with stairs and some ramps blocked with overflow furniture. Elevators were an issue of the two banks of elevators only one worked most of the time.|The beach and pool are nice with lots of lounge chairs and sling-back chairs, but the umbrellas are limited. |Drinks are either beer or rum and the pop varies depending on where you go and what day it is. ||Bring lots of money! The ATMs- (7 in all Varadero) and the 4 we visited were out of money and we left our passports in the safe so couldn't withdraw any directly from a bank.||If you wish to bring gifts the basic medications for pain and allergies were most appreciated along with cleaning wipes and hand sanitizer.
