Hôtel Beau Site

Stayed here on GTJ with half board. Good room, very marginal dinner (I could have managed another micro-slice of fish), excellent breakfast. Morale: get dinner separate from hotel booking, other guests (who did not have half board) had much better meals!

This is a budget hotel administered from the adjacent Hotel Le Lac. Rooms are clean and comfortable though compact in nature. Wifi available at €0.80 per person per day which delivered good connection.|Well designed bathroom which is clean and well appointed including shampoo & gel with soft towels and a hair dryer. TV in rooms. Breakfast available at the Hotel Le Lac for €12 pp. The town is quiet and on our day evening meals were available at the Hotel (€53 pp) a fully booked restaurant nearby or the Pizza grill within 400 metres.|Good place for a stopover or those touring.

The best thing about the hotel is the swimming pool, which was very nice. Overlooking the lake. We had an apartment with kitchen (on top floor) which was very practical for our party of 5. There are restaurants nearby (we ate in our room) and a grocery store. There is a nice walk down to the lake. It's in a good location with plenty of parking. Recommended.

On arrival we were met with very helpful staff and found our room.|Like a previous reviewer our room was on third floor and set over two levels with a small spiral staircase.|The room was simple yet clean.|We made full use of the swimming pool across the road with views across the lake. This was a fantastic view.|Staff were very helpful.

We chose the Beau Site as an inexpensive hotel for our first skiing holiday. It is linked to the Hotel Le Lac which is next door and allows you to have full use of their facilities. Before we arrived I made a number of enquiries by telephone and email relating to the room and also travelling by car in the area. These were always dealt with promptly and were very helpful. We arrived at the Hotel and were able to park the car at the huge Hotel car park directly across the road. The greeting that we had at the reception was excellent and we were immediately made to feel very welcome.||||The Hotel Beau Site is a 2 star hotel. There is no lift, but there are only three floors. We stayed in an apartment that slept 6 people. The rooms are very basic, but they are (very) warm and the beds are comfortable. There was a small hob with two rings and a microwave oven, enough to cook some simple meals in the evening. In the kitchen / dining area and one of the rooms there is a TV. ||||The apartment is over two floors and the spiral staircase is narrow. Just be aware of this.||||We used the Fromage and La Ferme restaurants during our stay, reservations can be made for these restaurants at the reception. Both of these offered good value for money and the service and food was excellent. We had the Buffet Breakfast on the first day and the selection of pastries and cold meats and cheese was very good.||||We ate at the local Pizza restaurant, Royal Pizza, which was very enjoyable, with the Pizza freshly cooked to order, again the service here was excellent.||||There is a superb Boulangerie across the road from the hotel that opens at 7 am. There is also a local supermarket the 8 a Huit (I think that is what it is called) that opens at 8.30 am. It closes at lunch time and reopens at about 3pm.||||The Hotel Beau Site is a very simple, comfortable hotel. I highly recommend it as a base for activities in Métabief and the surrounding area. Would I return? Absolutely.

Our littlest lost the key to the room. This was very unfortunate, but I refuse to believe that this is the only time such an event has occurred. Huge drama, we were first told that the room had to remain unlocked for the whole day as there was no spare key (bear in mind there is also no front desk so anyone can walk in off the street, additionally there is no safe in the room). Later in the evening, they found to their surprise that the cleaner had a key. We were given that key but told we had to pay for the lock to be changed. Room is fine but exceedingly hot and there are no blinds on one window so kids were woken by the dawn. To put this into perspective, I am sure there are ruder staff at hotels. Nevertheless, it was surprising.

Very helpful staff and what a great room. We had a triple room and we got 2 doubles and a single bed in a mini apprtment arrangement which included a kitchenette. Very clean and a fantastic little location

Premier séjour à l’hôtel Beau site. Le parking est pratique et gratuit devant l’hôtel. L’accueil était parfait. La chambre côté route, était très agréable, peu de bruit et avec une salle de bain très pratique. Tout était très propre. Le petit-déjeuner pris à l’hôtel du Lac était copieux, varié avec d’excellentes pâtisseries servi par des employés d’une extrême gentillesse.
