Hotel Becket, BW Signature Collection

What an absolute DIVE! They give the BW a bad name. This place is run down, horrible service- I mean horrible service. Upon check in ( that will not happen before 4P) we got some child with zero customer service skills helping us. She was rude and did not answer any questions we had. We also requested a bottom floor, both when we made the reservation and when we got there early and could not check in. We needed it for ADA. You see they are NOT ADA compliant. Our room had ONE towel in it. The front office said the towels were in the washer! What? So we could not shower before our dinner. The entire shower nozzle is coming out of the wall and you can not change the position. The shower is full of black mold. This will be reported, black mold is deadly. The shower you can't even turn around in it and I am a little person . It's the tiniest shower I have ever seen in a hotel or anywhere . You can tell they've attempted to remodel because there's little nooks everywhere that make no sense at all . The patching and painting on the walls and the ceiling look like a four-year-old did it . The cable is coming out of the bathroom area stapled along the wall and a hole drilled to reach the TV .The grounds ( area where the pool used to be).... no pool people, and is full of trash. The carpet is so filthy that when you walk around in your bare feet your feet are black. That is absolutely disgusting. The parking is an absolute joke. Clearly not enough parking for the number of rooms they have . One night got back and had to park down the street ! This is absolutely not acceptable when I am paying over $400 a night for a room I expect to be able to park my vehicle in the parking lot . No one from the hotel cleans up the area. The "free" breakfast is not worth the walk to the other side of the hotel. The coffee is absolutely gross, not even drinkable . The only thing good I can say the pillows were comfortable. The room was dirty and the lights that hang over the beds were had to remove the shades during our stay because you get out of bed and hit your head. This place should be taken down, it is disgusting!!!! I think the health department needs to be called into this place cause it's clearly not sanitary!

We recently stayed a few days at Hotel Becket in South Lake Tahoe and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is one of the hotel’s biggest strengths—situated within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, and attractions. This is especially helpful since paid parking is common in the area, so being able to explore on foot is a big plus. The room itself was clean and well-maintained. The towels and bedding were fresh, and the decor had a modern rustic touch that added character to the space. The bed was decent—comfortable enough for a few nights' rest. The only downside was the shower, which was quite small and might feel cramped for some guests. Breakfast was a nice surprise each morning, with a variety of options to choose from. A young gentleman working in the breakfast area stood out with his kind and helpful attitude. He checked for breakfast passes and provided great customer service without being intrusive. One thing to note: the hotel’s parking lot is on the smaller side. If you plan to leave during the day, it's a good idea to return by mid-afternoon or early evening to secure a spot near your room. Overall, Hotel Becket offered a comfortable stay in a fantastic location, and we appreciated the hospitality and convenience during our time in South Lake Tahoe.

We had a large, clean and comfortable room. The breakfast is delicious. It included breakfast meats, eggs, potatoes, fresh juice, waffles. The bar and restaurant serve tasty food and drink in a relaxing atmosphere after 4. From check in, to breakfast, to beers and barbecue the Becket provided excellent customer service. We enjoyed wings, pork sliders, Mac and cheese bites and burgers. Everything was delicious. The Becket is a casual, comfortable property that is a great value compared to the expensive properties all around here. Five nights at the Becket cost the same as one night at the Marriott or Lakeland.

Received refund as requested for parking fees. We were never able to find a parking space. The room had light bulbs out, electrical outlets out and my feet turned black after walking in the carpet. Very disappointed as for the majority of our stays Best Western has been good. The restaurant breakfast was terrible. Over ripe bananas and no where to heat up the cold muffins. Over priced probably due to location

Room was dirty when we arrived (bedside tables had hair, what looked like dried blood on bathroom sink, floors dirty). We were gone from our room for 2 days and never had it cleaned. When I called the front desk, no explanation, just simply said they couldn’t clean it cause housekeeping was gone. Breakfast was good, but that’s about it for this place. Pretty frustrated with overall service.

Location: Excellent location right in the town center, close to Stateline – very convenient for exploring the area.Parking: Available for $10 per night. Note that it’s park at your own risk.Check-in Staff: Outstanding service – friendly, welcoming, and informative.Room: Clean and nicely maintained with a fresh scent. Lighting is a bit dim for my preference. The bed is on the softer side but still comfortable. Bathroom was clean and functional.Breakfast: Great hot breakfast selection including eggs, bacon, potatoes, and a variety of bread, bagels, and muffins.Overall: Great value for money. Highly recommended for a comfortable stay in a central location.

I called the front desk and requested 2 extra blankets, because the bed only had two sheets. After waiting for 3 hours, I went to the front desk and requested the blankets again. I was told that the blankets were being washed and it would take approximately 30 minutes. I waited another 2 hours and no blankets. At about 10:50 pm, I went to the front desk and informed them that I had requested blankets twice and still had not received any. I was told that someone would bring me blankets immediately. Within 15 minutes the blankets arrived. Unfortunately, when I spread the blankets out one of them was blood stained. Needless to say I was very upset. Considering that I paid almost $450 for the room I should not have received this type of service. I guess Hotel Becket a Best Western Signature Hotel is not in the business of customer service. Maybe Best Western should reconsider partnering with this hotel.

Perfect location! Close walk to the beach, shopping and restaurants. Very friendly staff at the desk and in the restaurant. The room was large, clean and the property was very cute. The only thing that was an issue was housekeeping didn't come in at all for a four night stay. I had to call to request in room coffee and clean washcloths, but they were accommodating with that.

This review is earning the bbq restaurant only not hotel . The staff was amazing. We got bbq wings and bbq ribs. The ribs where great. The wings where very small and dry. My sn had a hamburger and got food poisoning. He's been sick for about 16 hours. Only a note to please be careful of the meat you serve . ..... this took 2 days off of our vacation and a sick kid throwing up. We r fine, it was only the hamburger. ​
