We recently stayed a few days at Hotel Becket in South Lake Tahoe and had a pleasant experience overall. The location is one of the hotel’s biggest strengths—situated within walking distance of many shops, restaurants, and attractions. This is especially helpful since paid parking is common in the area, so being able to explore on foot is a big plus.
The room itself was clean and well-maintained. The towels and bedding were fresh, and the decor had a modern rustic touch that added character to the space. The bed was decent—comfortable enough for a few nights' rest. The only downside was the shower, which was quite small and might feel cramped for some guests.
Breakfast was a nice surprise each morning, with a variety of options to choose from. A young gentleman working in the breakfast area stood out with his kind and helpful attitude. He checked for breakfast passes and provided great customer service without being intrusive.
One thing to note: the hotel’s parking lot is on the smaller side. If you plan to leave during the day, it's a good idea to return by mid-afternoon or early evening to secure a spot near your room.
Overall, Hotel Becket offered a comfortable stay in a fantastic location, and we appreciated the hospitality and convenience during our time in South Lake Tahoe.
