Hotel Beijers

Beijers is a cute B&B style historic hotel centrally located in Utrecht. The decor is unique and gorgeous. The desk staff are friendly and helpful. That being said, this place has some quirks. Please believe the reviews regarding issues with soundproofing. You can literally hear someone sneeze in the next room like they're right in bed next to you and it sounded like the people above me where wearing wooden shoes. Some complained about the church bells, but I barely heard them and honestly it was quite charming. I stayed in "comfort room" .06. It's located on the first floor which is actually the second floor so you have a winding set of stairs to lug your suitcase up and down. My toilet was separate from the rest of the bathroom. Kind of weird, but whatever. The windows have shutters instead of curtains, which I personally liked because it completely blacked out the room at night and probably helped with some of the street noise. Overall I enjoyed my stay, but probably wouldn't return due to the noise issues. I would not recommend this hotel for the following: weary travelers looking for a good night's sleep, light sleepers, partiers, couples looking for privacy, families with babies or small children (mostly for the sake of the other guests).

Hotel Beijers is a comfortable older boutique hotel with charm and great service. The location is great for exploring the old town and local shopping. It’s very close to the Dom tower which means you can always find it. The room I had was very comfortable. It was warm when I stayed but the ability to open the windows and the provided fan made it tolerable. The bathroom and shower were really nice. No tricky controls. Some commented on noise and ear plugs are provided, but I noticed very little street activity. As in older buildings the floors were a little creaky and I heard footsteps but no voices or other sounds.Breakfasts at the hotel offered a good assortment of options. You just had to place an order the day before. The staff are very friendly and helpful and greatly contributed to a very pleasant stay.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel! The room was clean, spacious, and very comfortable, offering a quiet retreat despite its central location right next to the iconic Dom Tower. The staff were exceptionally welcoming and helpful — communication via WhatsApp made our early arrival and luggage drop-off seamless, allowing us to enjoy a relaxed city tour before check-in. Although the reception isn’t open 24/7, everything was perfectly arranged in advance. One of the highlights was the access to a lovely garden, which was especially appreciated as we were traveling with our dog. It truly enhanced our stay. Highly recommended for both location and hospitality!

This place has hospitality down to a science. The historical building (no elevators, but a really friendly front desk girl will help you lug your stuff up without even asking!) has the most amasingly decorated rooms - and they are SPACIOUS! The bed is comfortable, the bathroom luxurious, and the little things do me in. Unlike some Dutch hotels, they have tissues. and a candle. and a minibar. And complimentary coffee and hot chocolate. And best of all is the location! Right in the heart of the shopping district with the canals, and behind the cathedral. Parking suxx. That's my only negative. Then again, who needs a car when you stay here. It's our third stay and we are never disappointed. Home away from home.

Lovely accommodation and friendly staff. The worst night's sleep I've ever experienced in a hotel. Cathedral bells mark every 15 minutes with an extended ring every 60 minutes. I wear a garmin watch. It tells me I managed 3 and a half hours sleep but I think it was far less.

Beautiful interior. The shower is amazing. There is some sound from rooms next to you or church bells but this did not bother me at all.

The room is very classic. There is no air-conditioning but we don’t feel hot in the morning and night. You will hear the church’s bell every hour that you will feel peaceful. In the morning, you can smell the bread baking. It’s a wonderful experience for people living in city.

Our room was very large with a split bathroom. The staff at this hotel were all so friendly and helpful. I want to give it a 5-star rating, but we were bothered by the windows in our room. There were no light blocking window coverings, so we had light very early in the morning until late at night. This made it challenging for me, as I don't sleep well in a bright room. Maybe it is not a problem for others.
