For the price, I wasn’t surprised or upset at the dorm room size and appearance. But, mold on the walls above the shower was unacceptable. And the fact that the bathroom door had no doorknob, just a kind of bolt lock that was hard to operate. And the floor wasn’t clean. And by the way, difficult to find as there is no sign in front.

This hotel is near Jeronimo's Monastery, ticket stalls, the waterfront, parks, museums, bus and tram lines, and restaurants. It is a close neighbour to the Presidential Palace. The entry is surprisingly spacious. Staff helpful. Circuitous hallway. The bed was very firm. Compact bathroom. Quiet room overlooking central courtyard. We were grateful for the large luggage lockers.

I very much loved my stay in this hotel. I had room 252, with a great view on the inner court of the hotel and some large trees from the botanical garden in the background. In the evening, you can hear the peacocks from the botanical gardens, in addition to other pleasant bird songs.

Hm, we chose this hotel due to the lack od availability in centre of Lisbon. We asked for the room at the back because wanted to avoid noises which was a good shot. The room was ok but I do not get use to the moult in the bathroom, you could see it and smell it. I know that some rooms are nice and refurbished but our was a pretty old one and you could smell the damp in there. Not a very nice feeling about it. Maybe it is a matters of luck.

The best thing about this place is that it's Conveniently located within walkable distances from Jeronimos monastery, Belém tower, Monuments to the discoveries, Maritime museum, MAAT, museum of contemporary art, Tropical botanical garden, LX Factory and the famous Pastiés de Belém. Our room was small and basic, and the bed was not comfy but was kept clean, and clean towels were provided daily. We loved having a balcony that looks into the inner garden. No safe, water, or coffee provided inside the room, and if you want to iron, you have to go downstairs to the supply room where you can find an iron table and an iron. There are vending machines at the entrance for coffee, water, and snacks. Many restaurants within walkable distances. The hotel offers a service of holding your luggage in a safe free of charge which came handy since our flight was hours after the hotel check out time.

Unbeatable location in Belem. Very nice place too. I only give 4 stars because of a few things, like luggage must be carried up a long but lovely flight of curving marble stairs to get to reception on the 1st floor. From there up, there is a lift. Nice large room, clean and comfortable. Pretty nice bathroom, but a bit small and didn't have some small things that would be nice, like towel bars or hooks, and there is no shelf in the shower. Everything goes on the floor. The shower didn't drain fast enough and semi-flooded the bathroom floor, which also had a slow drain. Easy things they could fix in a day. Good water pressure though and water gets hot very quickly. Good power access throughout the room as well. Very nice and helpful staff. It is staffed around the clock so no worries of getting locked out at night.

I honestly don’t understand the good reviews about this place besides the location. Paid 85€ per night for a super basic double room. Towels and sheets were old and rough, there was hair on the bed and the floor was dusty. The duvet didn’t have a cover and you could tell the blue pillowcases were old and dusty. The balcony outside was also dirty and there was a big vase/ashtray with cigarettes butts left there. Not a pretentious client here but there are some things that were below anyone’s standards of cleanliness and service.
