Hotel Bellary AG

When booked directly we thought the price was fair considering it's Grindelwald. The hotel accommodated all our requests - we arrived a bit past check in time, we were able to check out late and we got the kettle and bowls when asked. The view from balcony is stunning and the bus to Busshalp (sledging) and Grindelwald stops right in front. Dogs are welcome :)

Hotel Ballary, is situated in cool and calm place on a elevated mound,at a walking distance from Grindelwald Railway station.The bus is available nearby hotel for the town. The view from the Balcony is awesome. The cable car station is at a walkable distance from the hotel. A way to Jaunfraung.

It's the worst place I've ever payed to stay in. The breakfast was terrible. The twin beds sagged terribly in the middle, and we never got a good night sleep. There were stains on one of the pillows (ewwww!!!). They obviously don't believe in heating the hotel. It was freezing at night. The blankets were so small they didn't cover my entire body. The location was ideal and the view was fantastic. The maid left our balcony unlocked which anyone could access.

This hotel is about 10 minute walk out of town uphill. We had a car which was OK. There is free parking. We arrived early and our room was ready. This hotel is very dated and no frills. We had a lovely view from our balcony as we had booked a superior room. Breakfast was basic. Staff are very nice and helpful. There is no extras in this hotel, no hairdryer, safe, fridge. I think it is run on a shoestring, we were only given 1 sachet of shampoo/body wash each per day. Towels are hard and thin. Bathroom is very small but shower is powerful. I don't think I would stay again,pity because it wouldnt take much to improve this hotel greatly.

On looking at the fire escape plan, it took us to a locked door for one of the rooms. The balcony also had fire escape signage so we would have had to drop onto a roof. Balcony looked unsafe in places ||Breakfast was nice but very small portions.||Good hot water but shower was difficult if you're over 1.4m.

The room is decent and clean. Not exactly a luxurious place but it does the job. The hotel has a nice cozy family feel to it. The breakfast food isnt great but it is decent. However, the staff are really nice, friendly and hospitable. This place is great if you are just looking for a place to sleep and eat breakfast at as the staff can give great recommendations for things to do in the day. In addition, it is about a 10min walk from the Grindelwald town center which makes it fairly accessible.

Luxury is not my style; Confort, Cleanness, Nice Atmosphere, and great Service that's all I need to have a nice time. |We were a group of 6 adults and 7 teenagers for 2 nights. When arrived we were received by a lovely lady that inspired peace and we felt like coming home after a long time. She gave us all the information we needed including recommendations for good restaurants. The hotel was very comfy with living space with several sofas, and musical instruments you can use; even a piano. Again, just like home!|The rooms had a good size and the view from the balcony to the mountain was very relaxing. We spent some time drinking wine there.|The breakfast was good.|I would definitely stay again!

We stayed one night at Waldhotel Bellary as part of a hiking holiday. Having walked for 20km the day we arrived, we were delighted to discovered the room had a bath. Our room was large, on the first floor, flanked by a large continuous balcony, and contained an ensuite. The furnishings were rather old fashioned (think Fawlty Towers) particularly the lounge downstairs which had lots of old lady armchairs and artwork. However the staff were friendly, the views good, and the hotel quiet.||||The hotel is at one end of the village. You can catch a bus from the depot for free (no.22 - there are two with this number so check with the driver). The bus depot is across from the railway station. Visitors who stay the night qualify for free transport, and this applies even when you have still to check in). The bus service finishes early in the evening, so check the timetable. We ate out in the village centre, and missed the last bus back. However it was only a 12-15 minute walk to the hotel.
