Hotel Belleclaire

I recently stayed at Hotel Belleclaire in NYC and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Every single member of staff was amazing — so warm, welcoming and helpful. I even lost an item during my stay and they replaced it for me free of charge, which I was so so grateful for. That alone says a lot about how they treat their guests. The doormen (especially Edward) deserve a special mention. Just the sweetest people ever, always smiling and happy to help. They really made coming in and out of the hotel such a lovely experience. The room was faultless, being large, airy, and cleaned thoroughly every day. It felt fresh and comfortable the entire time. The café downstairs was also so nice, with great staff and such a good atmosphere. Location is a solid 10/10; perfect for getting around and exploring the city. I came from London to visit and this was genuinely the perfect place to stay. Would highly, highly recommend!

We stayed at the Belleclaire because we had tickets for a show at the Beacon Theatre. We arrived early and we were greeted warmly at the front desk and we were surprised when we were able to get into our room without an extra charge. The room was small but certainly big enough for two people. The shower was very nice. Everything was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The breakfast coupons covered all but $3 of our breakfast so that was nice. It was also very convenient having the entrance inside the foyer of the hotel. The complimentary wine, cheese and crackers at 5pm in the lounge was a nice treat. We enjoyed the live musicians too. From the hotel we were able to walk to the Natural History museum, Central Park and the Beacon Theatre so this was a great location for our trip. I would definitely stay here again.

Positive: Location, room, amenities, staff, hotel character, breakfast / bar vouchers Negative: Unlike some of the other, newer remodeled hotels, there is a lot of noise that travels through the doors and windows at this hotel. It didn't bother us, but it is different than some of the others that have more effective soundproofing.

I stayed at Hotel Belleclaire twice—first on my own and then again with a friend—and I loved it both times. Compared to the larger Midtown hotel I also stayed at, this was such a joyful experience: cozy, clean, and with very friendly staff and a wonderfully chatty doorman. It has a bit of an acquired, European charm that I really appreciated. The bakery is great, the coffee is amazing, and even the hotel entrance smells wonderful and welcoming. I would stay here again 100%.

We were here for a week during the recent polar vortex. The staff couldn't have been more accommodating. Rooms were clean and comfortable. The gym was recently redone and it was perfect! My husband loved the cafe every morning for coffee and croissants. We love boutique hotels with charm, and the BelleClaire has been added to our list. I hosted a small, intimate gathering in the Allure bar, and guests marveled at the space and staff. It was wonderful and exceeded our expectations. And lastly, location is a TEN.

If you're looking for a beautiful hotel in a great location, look no further. I stayed the night for work, and was delighted by how quiet, and spacious (by New York standards) the room was! The lobby is elegant and beautiful, and the staff were all very friendly and helpful. While the room is simple (no fridge or coffee) their is a wonderful cafe directly connected to the hotel, and with vouchers my breakfast was free! When it was time to leave the subway was in easy walking distance. I would absolutely stay here again.

The Hotel Belleclaire is a true New York City treasure! We are so happy to have stayed there this past week, despite getting caught in a blizzard and having to extend our stay! This elegant, architectural gem of a property is centrally located on the Upper West Side. Fantastic neighborhood! The rooms are comfortable, airy, and beautifully appointed. The staff is outstanding! This team understands hospitality and graciousness like no other. Big kudos to Benedict, Maria, Sean, and everyone else whose names we (unfortunately) don't have. They've raised the bar on what it means to make guests feel special. And if you're going to be stranded in a blizzard, this is where you want to be stranded! We will most definitely return.

This hotel is located in a great spot. The street is quiet but still close to restaurants and just a short walk to Central Park. It is also within walking distance to the Museum of Natural History. The beds are comfortable. The hotel has a great little cafe with pastries, coffee, hot chocolate, sandwiches, etc. A special shout out to Shanies and Maria. They made checking in a breeze.

We stayed at the Belleclaire from October 17, 2024, and checked out a day early on the 21st of October. I was there for a wedding. My experience at the Belleclaire was disappointing. When I got to my room there was no place to unpack my bag. We lived out of our suitcases on the floor. There was no chest of drawers or luggage rack. Standard room items that we should not have to ask for. An ironing board that I requested three times finally arrived too late after we were in bed. I didn't have much faith that anything else we asked for would be delivered. We were very busy with the wedding and didn't have time to ask for another room and still be on time for wedding events. We considered changing hotels, but there wasn't the time. There was mold in the bathroom, the mirror was coming off the wall, the toilet seat was never cleaned. I checked out a day early and the hotel kindly waived an early check out fee of $50 and the resort fee. A month ago I wrote to the hotel Manger, Mr Fahey telling him of our disappointment and asking for some consideration. I sent an email and a USPS letter. After 2 weeks and no answer, I sent it again. Today is November 23rd and as of yet no answer. To not even acknowledge receipt of an email and a letter is just simply rude and uncalled for. It unfortunately sadly demonstrates a lack of responsiveness to a customer who often travels to NYC and has many family members there. I cannot in good conscience recommend this property POST SCRIPT: After posting this on Yelp and Trip Advisor I was contacted by Mr. Fahey, who was apologetic about not having gotten back to me sooner. Apparently he hadn't seen the emails or the letter until today. I appreciate his getting back to me and his commitment to improve on the areas that were identified in this review and in my longer letter and emails to him.

We had a nice overnight stay. This is a location that is near where our kids live and very convenient for us. The staff was friendly and check in and check out was very efficient. The facility itself has been updated. Like most NY city hotels, our room was small but well maintained and well set up. There were plenty of electric outlets and the lighting in the room was very good. We got a voucher to use at the bakery next to the hotel. The baked goods were very good.

Nice front staff. Nice bakery. Hotel rooms are small even by NYC standards, very noisy, not super clean. Charged me $60 for something I have asked about and a month later, I still have not received a reply. I left a day early even though my room was fully paid for in advance.

You pay for being TRENDY, rooms, bathrooms, room service non-existent, Management Incompetent. Do not get seduced by their photos and entrapped in their incompetence.

Pretty nice room for the money. It was clean and quiet, and they gave you a voucher at the French bakery next door for breakfast. Enough to cover a croissant and coffee. It's an older building, but in very good shape. The elevators are small, and there's really only one, plus a freight elevator. So they were some pretty long lines for the elevator. Staff in the front was friendly and helpful.

Rueben checked us in tonight. Efficient, knowledgeable and effective as always! We are regular guests here because of how wonderful the staff is! From the Bellhop to the front desk check-in, to the free European breakfast, Belleclaire is a true NYC gem.

My new GO TO HOTEL! The Belleclaire was such a great place to stay! The staff was so welcoming , friendly and accommodating! From the man who helped us with our luggage to the people at the front desk to housekeeping! The lobby was so beautiful, the chandeliers, the floor, the artwork and loved the music! Great vibe! The halls were beautiful with tasteful wallpaper, sconces, and carpet. Our room was spacious, clean, and the bed was very comfortable! It was quiet to sleep, which surprised us.! Great little touches, like the remote being in platic, so we knew it was clean and untouched by others! They even had a personalized note and miffins from the french bakery downstairs! Great touch! We had fun shopping with our vouchers they gave us for the bakery! All in all, it was a great experience, and look forward to our next stay there!!!

We loved the location, staff, and the adjacent cafe for pastries and coffee. Our room was a shoebox, no closet so no hangers for clothes. We could barely move the chair from behind the desk (no room) but once we did, lots of dust bunnies followed. We felt it was too expensive for what we had.

Amazing hotel for the price point. The rooms were modest but very clean and thoroughly functional. I wished that they had an in-room coffee maker or a microwave but they kindly provided an electric tea pot to boil water. The "free breakfast" was a $10 voucher for a bakery that was on property and opened at 7am. It was possible to get an espresso and a chocolate croissant for the amount on the voucher. Not bad for NYC! The folks at the front dest were quite nice. We would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel. Great staff. Great location on upper Westside of Manhattan. Rooms are not large but clean and comfortable. The gym is good for a smaller NY hotel. It is near Riverside Park and Central Park. I cannot say enough good things about it. Stay here if going to NYC. There is everything nearby, great restaurants, great stores, supermarkets, Temples, Churches everything, and an half to hour from Newark Airport.

HORRIBLE, SCAM alert. They claim a price that isn't true and then add on all basic amenities - wifi, breakfast voucher - as a resort tax. They weren't up front about any of these at time of booking and when I asked about them, the young lady at the desk got defensive, and started yelling at me "not to come at me." She turned a very polite question into an aggressive attitude with me and tried to make me out to be a bad guy. The elevator is a joke, can barely fit 2 people without luggage and basically doesn't run so you will need to take stairs. There are no basic amenities - iron, ironboard, coffee maker - in the room. Instead, they claim to give you a "breakfast voucher" for a "French cafe" on site, which is nothing more than coffee shop with Costco pastries. The voucher is then charged to you as part of the resort fee. The room has walls that are so paper think it feels like your neighbors are literally right INSIDE the room with you. I could clearly hear conversations at all hours as though the guests were lying in bed next to me. Upon leaving, the bellman tried scamming me into taking a hyper-inflated cab to the airport so he could tip himself. He tried telling me Uber/Lyft isn't reliable and only by booking through him would I get to the airport on time. What a joke. The only positive is the location, but not at all worth any of the tradeoffs. AVOID this hotel at all costs. The resort fees alone, on top of the taxes, made the room well over $300/night, when it's worth less than half that.

This hotel is so very well located by subway, central park, and restaurants. I usually stay mid-town, and this upper west side area is quite nice. More residential. Safe. Museums. THe hotel itself is very nice. We had a very small but updated bath (frameless glass door, good towels, newish sink, great water pressure) and a King? bed. Nice soaps. No bathrobe as stated on website-- but a very good hairdryer. The pastry shop is really really quite nice. Like Paris. and there is a cute little bar later in the day. All employees were kind, helpful and knew their respective stuff.

Thank you to the man at the front desk who tried his best to make my checkin experience the best it could be. Here it goes. The rooms are extremely small, there was no toilet paper in the bathroom AT ALL, the bathroom sink was stopped up and no mini bar! Geez! Really?? The elevator fits 2 people- no joke-- and that's SNUG!! It's old and cramped feeling.

Beware! I had my first lengthy stay at the Belleclaire in early March, and there were a number of problems. THE GOOD: Great location. Close to the 1 train. Safe neighborhood. Friendly staff. Updated spacious bathrooms. Adjustable temperature in rooms. Comfortable bed. THE BAD: -The rooms are MINISCULE, even by NYC standards. I am a seasoned former New Yorker, and I know NYC hotel rooms. These are like little cells that you can barely turn around in. There was no place to put my suitcase. There were no drawers to put my things in -- just a teeny-tiny closet. -They claim to have free wifi, but the signal is SO BAD I had to rig my computer up to a hotspot through my cell phone service. I called the front desk about this, and they said the signal was fine. IT'S SO WEAK. This remained true for a whole week. -This is a NOISY hotel. You can hear through the walls and everything going on around you. -The bathroom has no bar or hook in it to hang a wash rag despite tons of wall space. There is one teeny-tiny shelf that is not nearly big enough to put even a few travel size toiletries. I'm guessing this space was designed by a man. Just put a larger shelf in there! There is no place to prop your leg if you want to shave your legs. Again, designer was not considering women here. -The elevators are teeny-tiny. Maybe 4 humans can fit in one, and that's without a suitcase. -The hallways are so narrow, you can't roll a normal size suitcase. -The hotel has no business center, so don't expect to be able to print anything out. There is one teeny-tiny desk in the room, but not enough space to spread out anything if you are doing work. This is a cool old building that was renovated, but it's a space not meant to be a hotel, IMHO.

Enjoyed a 5 night stay with my boyfriend for the first time in NY visiting from California. I really enjoyed this hotel. Very close to restaurants, bars, subway station, and CVS across the street. The surrounding area felt pretty safe. Bed was very comfortable. Enough room for just 2 people. Not enough shelf room in the bathroom above the sink. Water pressure in shower was great, window also opened in the bathroom. Hotel stay came with 2 coupon vouchers for the cafe attached to the hotel for anything valued $10 or less which was nice to use the day of check out. Room also came with 2 complimentary water bottles. Although when booking it said that our room came with a complimentary wine bottle, we never received it but wasn't worried about it. I wouldn't give this place 5/5 just because I wished the room included a microwave or fridge. It also didn't come with an iron, I believe you need to call front desk for that, ice machine is also located in lobby. Housekeepers did an amazing job with cleaning our room as well. The Doormen were extremely friendly. There was also a restaurant in the lobby which we didn't get to try but seemed very lively every night. Definitely would stay here again.

We stayed at this hotel for 14 days. Our room was very spacious and had a magnificent view of Broadway from the 6th floor. The room was newly renovated and decorated nicely. The bathroom was small but very functional with a walk-in shower and all new installations. I just looked at the pictures some previous guests posted here but I'm guessing they were from before the renovation was made. I would definitely stay here again. The staff was very courteous and helpful.

Fine to sleep in for 8 hours night for a single person of diminutive stature with zero luggage. The room is barely bigger than the bed and closet is big enough for a backpack but certainly not a suitcase that could fit into an overhead bin on an airplane. It was however clean.

Beautifully decorated and retains its old world charm. Fabulous location-Upper West side- close to central park, Zebars, Lincoln Center, one of the best neighborhoods to experience the real NYC! The folks at the front desk and throughout were helpful , funny and knowledgeable- thanks, Maria, Shane's, Angel and Hector! And don't miss the delicious French bakery and cafe in the lobby.

Very cute French hotel in Manhattan. French bakery next door. Rooms are clean and shower is hot with full pressure. Staff is friendly and accommodating. The bed and pillows are very comfortable. I slept like a baby.

Coffee and pastries next door were excellent. Staff were nice. Rooms (we had to change from our first one because it was not cleaned properly, no top sheet on beds. One bed had a few crumbs in it and looked like it had been slept in. Bathroom was dirty, hair everywhere etc) rooms weren't so hot. Same thing other reviewers have written. Missing hardware, cracked sink, silver duct tape all over window. See photos if you think I'm exaggerating. I thought maybe my experience was an anomaly or that they're going through a rough patch. According to the reviews here it's been like this for years. So crazy. If you're looking for an authentic New York experience, grime, fun people, some decent grub, broken shit, loud screaming (walls are super thin) and all that, this is the place.

Great location to see a show or head to Central Park. Lots of restaurants and shopping near by, and close to metro stop. Loved the bakery in hotel lobby.

This is a great hotel nicely located close to a metro station . The staff are excellent We have stayed many places in Manhattan but have decided to make this the place we stay in future . They even have a French bakery in the lobby! Oh la la !

We go to the upper west side often and this compares favorably to some other hotels in the vicinity. Great location, friendly staff and clean rooms.

Ok, I've watched enough HGTV in my life to know that it's difficult (and not recommended according to the Property Brothers) to live in-house through a renovation. This place has a special spot in my heart and admittedly, if that spot wasn't there, this review would be worse. The Belleclaire got dealt a crap hand during the pandemic and it's going to take a while for them to get back on their feet, but much like New York itself, it will get there. That being said, It's still a great location not far from Central Park and the 72nd street subway. The staff is friendly and attentive and when the local coffee shop was shut down in the blizzard, they brought in Dunkin for the guests, so a major win! I love that the Broadway entrance is now open, and so the lobby has a much bigger feel. One day they will get their bar, and that will be incredible. At first I was annoyed that these talked about plans from 8 years ago have not come to fruition, and I feel bad for the staff. But when you think about permits, cost and again, the crap hand dealt to them in 2020, all I can do is hope that funds for these renovations don't fizzle out and the Belleclaire falls to the wayside. It's too beautiful of a historic building to become forgotten. Yes you're going to hear construction if you're in your room during the day. My question to you is, why on God's green Earth are you in your hotel room in Manhattan in the middle of the day? There's a reason why people pay through the nose to have a small crap studio apartment (been there, guilty!) It's because nyc is right outside your door, that's your backyard, that's what you pay for. Long story short- if you want perfection, this place isn't it, not yet. But if you don't mind a bit of a fixer upper and find that they're having a good deal on hotels.com or whatnot, give them a shot. Otherwise, put it on your list a few years from now.

Stayed four nights and enjoyed the great location minus street crowds. Three minutes from 79th street station and walking distance to a slew of restaurants on Amsterdam Avenue. Close to Central Park if you have time to explore. Hotel staff was professional and genuinely nice. Rooms were clean and much larger than midtown hotels I've stayed at in the past. The ten dollar credit per person for the bakery was perfect for coffee and a croissant in the morning.

Very much enjoyed this establishment. The staff were fantastic, it was extremely clean and the location was perfect. I will be staying here over other larger establishments that do not treat their patrons as well.

Great location. Clean room. That's it. The rooms are the smallest I've ever seen. Nothing works--Wi-Fi, the fitness center, nothing. No amenities in the room--no coffee maker, not even drawers to put your stuff away. This should be your option of last resort.

WOW! JUST WOW! WOW! JUST WOW! This was a great place to stay on the UWS. Very well-located for museum hopping, park exploring, and deli-hopping. Close to the subway, with very nice, friendly staff, warm, welcoming lobby. Our experience limits my ability to comment on the regular rooms, as we were upgraded to "the best room in the house!" I don't know why the front desk captain chose us for this very unexpected gift, but thank you, thank you, thank you from these mid-seventy year olds, who had recently celebrated 50 years of marriage! A few days earlier, we had visited the Whitney's Hopper exhibit, and the view from the 9th floor suite's windows looked out on a scene that could almost have come from one of the paintings. The roofs of low--rise brownstones gave way to the Hudson River, and the NJ skyline. A large, homey and clearly designed living area gave way to the king bed, more windows (all with room-darkening shades) a fuzzy shag rug and dressing table. And next to the bed: a box of a half-dozen pretty and delicious macarons from the French patisserie next door. A massive bathroom with a soaking tub, and walk-in shower completed the suite. Frette linens in the bathroom and on the bed (as well as robes and slippers) made use feel like royalty. Capping it off was the Hopper print that hung on the wall of the sitting area! Bliss! there's a coackaroach in my bed when I woke up. It's very disgusting! Room overall was okay but the coackaroach thing is a huge problem.

Great hotel in a great neighborhood, lots to do in the area, easy foot travel to numerous restaurants, bars, Central Park, museums, riverside park etc. The building is historic and going through upgrades so an occasional hiccup may occur but the staff is more than friendly and accommodating to your every need. Stayed here twice now and have to say will be my go to when visiting the upper west side. The vibe is perfect and the French bakery connected to the hotel lobby is a convenient hit. Upon checkout on my last visit was greeted by the hotel G.M. who promptly assisted with checking our bags. If this is how all Triumph Hotels are managed I will trying some of their other properties as well. 2 enjoyable stays in 2 months !!!

My mom and I stayed here for 3 nights. We are so pleased with the hotel, the accommodations and everything about this place. Great hotel and staff; great decor and design; great neighborhood and pastry shop downstairs. We didn't want to leave. This customer service was beyond exemplary from the moment we walked in, until the moment we checked out.

This was our 4th stay at the Hotel Belleclaire, but far from our last. It's in a charming Art Deco located in the Upper Westside, half a block from a subway station. You are minutes away from the theater district and shopping by metro and walking distance to charming restaurants. If you love music, The Beacon is just across the street. Yes the hotel is under renovation, but we did not hear any construction noise. The staff made up for any inconvenience with outstanding customer service, including moving a refrigerator into our room for my husband's insulin. Our favorite new addition is the authentic French bakery downstairs, and the voucher we received every day! Pro tip: Check out the Grand Bazar on Columbus Ave Sunday if you like flea markets. Thank you again for another wonderful stay!

First morning I wake up to a mouse crawling at me. I let it slide as long as my first night was comped and I got an upgraded room. Until the mouse incident, there was a lot of loud noises all morning, this must be better. No matter what hour, the paper thin walls led to me hearing every time a person entered or exited a room with a bang. You would imagine this to be minimal but the renovation crew down the hall made this ever so frequent. At one point my sink let out tinted water. The icing on top was the towel hook in my bathroom came right off on my last day. For all these reasons, I must rate 1 star

I recently stayed here again under a comp room thanks to the hotel manager. My stay this time around was excellent! As soon as I walked to the front desk, my room was ready. The concierge was very friendly and chatty with me even though I was sweating like a pig from my travels in 70 degree plus weather by train from Long Island! I was put in a deluxe King up on the 9th floor. During previous stays I have never been this high up but I truly enjoyed it! The room was immaculately clean and the bed was comfortable and relaxing. The staff this time went out of their way to make me feel comfortable during my stay. I want to say thank you again to the general manager for allowing me to stay in this lovely hotel for free, I enjoyed my stay very much!

The rooms of this hotel are very clean and well kept, and the service is really good for the most part. But, one employee at the front desk was extremely rude when we couldn't get into our room. We went to ask for more keys to get in and he answered the phone before we finished talking. The man next to him tried to answer the phone, but the one we were talking to did it first. After that, he gave us keys that didn't work, so we had to come back and get new ones.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Belleclaire! The staff was exceptional and the rooms were very clean and roomy! We will be back Belleclaire. Thanks for making our time in New York so special!

We've stayed here twice over the years. It's a great location with easy access to the 1-2-3 trains, local markets, bars/pubs/eateries on Amsterdam, Natural History museum, and Central Park. There is a fair amount of street noise and construction, but that can be offset by a noise machine or app on your phone. The cable TV is terrible, I don't know if it is satellite or what is going on, but only about 1/3 channels are clear, 1/3 are grainy, and 1/3 don't even work. There is no good channel guide or interface. Now mind you, I'm not in NYC to watch TV, but late at night or first thing in morning I would like to have decent TV options. The in-room wireless was OK for my email and texting needs. Yeah, the bathroom is tiny, the sink is too small, and you have to sit on the toilet at slight angle due to how close it is to the shower. The tile work in the shower is second rate, and the shower pan isn't level. But the water is hot, the bathroom is clean, and the room is big enough. The main lobby is renovated and we experienced a quick check-in. The staff were pleasant, from front of house to housekeepers. Decent towels, linens, and pillows. For what you get, I think four stars is a fair rating. Good price, value, comfort, and location.

The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The rooms are very basic, but do not be fooled by the suite option. Our suite was 2 regular rooms with an adjoining door, and cost more than booking 2 rooms. If going with a group or large family, you won't find meeting space to be together. Tons of taxes and extra fees. Location is great. Easy walk to Central Park.

This is an interesting hotel with some old fashioned quirks that may not be for you if you are used to corporate chain hotels. There seem to be some people who have stayed here who are obsessed with taking pictures of slight furniture defects or tiny chips of missing bathroom grout, and if you are one of those people you should probably just stay home or stay at a Marriott. We really liked our stay here even though (gasp!) the bathroom door had a couple scratches in the paintwork. We stayed in one of the large "round" rooms and it was a very cool space. The bed was super comfy, the pillows were soft and fluffy, and there was a great duvet. The bathroom was extra small but we did have a tub unlike some of the rooms. The toiletries are nice and the water pressure was great. I've never seen an old fashioned radiator in a nice hotel before but once it was cranked up it made the room cozy. It was a little noisy but it didn't bother us because we have the same kind of heat at home. I would recommend trying to get a room on a high floor. We were on the second floor so it was a little noisy with the Broadway traffic but not that big a deal. I liked this place and would stay again.

Selected this hotel as it was close to the Beacon Theater. We were on the 7th floor in a deluxe king room. Everything was clean, the bed was comfortable and the room was quiet. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The coupon for the cafe next door was great for coffee and danish in the morning. Easy walk to Central Park and multiple parking garages nearby. The bathroom and elevators were small, but that was not an issue at all.

After working 7pm to 7am Like I'm literally being scammed by the front desk person Naomi shamblin in the interest of the hotel rn. I just got a call from a unknow number. up-till now I've been nothing but patient working to get a deposit back. Speed up to the end I was informed via email from hopper that my booking didn't go through. So I forward the emailed to Benedict Madic proof of my rate. The system wasn't working the night I booked, when I called to confirm after not seeing a email I was inform that it should be back up in the morning. So when I arrived Naomi did a price Mach and had me give $100 deposit which she arranged in a way to make it seem like the $100 was part of the rate which led me not to get a deposit when I checked out. Now it's three weeks later. And Naomi calls at 8am says the rate was correct and the manager Jessica spoke to hopper on the phone. It's almost impossible to get a real person on the phone from hopper from my experience. In my head I'm thinking there email only. Not knowing that I've been working all night and before clocking in I handled the whole ordeal with hopper and Benedict with the help of Christopher and Rubin. I even have a email saying it will be handled. After all this Naomi forwards me to Jessica's voicemail I call back Jessica calls me a liar when I explained Naomi just called me and I'm returning the call. Her tone was extremely rude to be so early in the morning and knows nothing about the situation demanding I give her a chance to be briefed by Naomi. I've yet to get a call back, mind u I'm tiered. I really liked my stay. Location perfect. The room was under construction, bathroom window had plastic cover, and the shower water wouldn't drain. Honestly I slept so good in the comfortable king room I was willing to return but this takes the cake.

Great little bare bones hotel for visiting Upper West Side friends. Twice as expensive as it was last year, but isn't everything? Everyone at the desk was very nice, especially Francelle who was so helpful, friendly and accommodating. The hotel's got everything you need: air conditioning, TV, comfy big bed, super nice shower, GREAT coffee and french pastry downstairs off the lobby.

I needed a neighborhood place to stay at for a night, and having newly re-opened, I was glad to try out the hotel. I was quite pleased! - The staff was terrific and so eager to please. - The lobby has great contemporary artwork and a nice seating area. - The hallways have upbeat wallpaper and lighting, all freshly painted and new. - The room was quite large and clean with a great view down Broadway. The floors were newly stained and the walls had clearly just been painted. - The bathroom was not big or fancy but everything was super clean and the Frette towels were luxurious. - The bed (including sheets and pillows) was extremely comfortable and both my son and I had a great sleep. - It was terrific in the morning to go downstairs to the French bakery to get a latte and croissant. YUM! -The location can't be beat - restaurants, shopping and museums all around! Two Thumbs Up!

Great customer service, very cool space built in the 1900's, and cute New York-feeling rooms! The area is great as well--very walkable, safe, and lots to do and lots of places to eat nearby. Couldn't be happier with our short stay! 10/10 would stay here again!

My relatives stayed here ( my apt is sorta of small) and they were very pleased with the rooms, services and location. Beautiful and super clean! Highly recommend this hotel!

Another Manhattan Boutique hotel. Obviously an old hotel that was renovated. Elevators were slow and small, but not ultra slow like some. The lobby was great! I loved the stand they had with complimentary juices and waters flavored with real fruit. The mint scented toiletries were also a big hit. The room had a hardwood floor and the bed had a leather headboard. It was in a good area of the city, and I liked the staff (one of the valet guys was particularly cute and helpful! ) We didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room as we were out site seeing and doing other things. We were only here for one night. There is a 24 hour drug store down and across the street, and it is close to many other little shops and businesses,but because it is on a side street (just off of a main busy street ) It is more quiet then some hotels. It was a decent price (for summertime in NYC ) I would recommend it to older couples for the most part.
