"An Art Deco mansion by the sea where champagne flows freely and a green light blinks at the tip of a wooden jetty — you’ll only need one guess at the famous person who once lived here. In 1925, Scott and Zelda Fitzgerald decamped to a waterfront villa on the Côte d’Azur, and between up-all-night parties and swims in the ocean, he wrote his final novel, Tender is the Night. The villa was expanded and turned into a luxury hotel in 1929." - Tablet Hotels

We had a lovely two night stay. Great location with a private beach club attached. (No sand) but lovely with a bar and nice restaurant. Book early as gets a bit hectic as they are in high demand. ||We ate at the Michelin restaurant and it was very nice but at over 800 USD that is what you would expect. Has some room for improvement but if you enjoy fine dining you will find it as a nice evening. ||The concierge's fantastic and most helpful. Always was able to find a solution, taxi or dinner suggestion. ||Cool bar and outside terrace for breakfast and cocktails. The breakfast was quite nice. ||The rooms are part small and I mean really small! I think we may have been in a tier which may have been the smallest so may get a bit better with other options. Only a few rooms with showers and the step In tubs are not ideal so I would not book again unless I could guarantee a shower room facing the Med. They have French doors where the views are lovely. ||Nice stay with good amenities.

We have stayed at this hotel many times over the years (twice this year) and have always had a great experience. Sadly this year this was not the case. |Let’s start with the positives - the door people are absolutely first class -totally charming. |It’s a fantastic location with tasteful furnishings. |The breakfast is lovely as are the breakfast staff. |What really let it down this year was the service especially on the beach & restaurant. Both the female restaurant manager & the female who runs the beach have absolutely shocking attitudes - rude doesn’t even cover it. The beach service is a shambles - totally disorganised - in years gone by the service was so attentive - always checking to see if you needed anything - not this year - it was a struggle to get someone to serve you. |The bar - where the service always used to be first class had also deteriorated - some of the staff lack a basic grasp of English. |When I checked out I wasn’t even asked how my stay was. ||This is a very expensive hotel where you would expect first class service - unfortunately this is not the case. It is obvious that there is a distinct lack of staff training which shows. ||The hotel is busy which possibly explains their take it or leave it attitude. ||I am sorry that I am even writing this - maybe bad reviews might alert them to their problems.

I went to the bar on 2 consecutive evenings. Outside, overlooking the Med is truly glorious. However, the service is awful. So many staff just walking around doing seemingly nothing. On the first night, 15 minutes after been shown to my table, not so much as a menu was offered to me. After asking for one 3 times, I eventually got up and got one from inside myself. Waiting a long time to pay my bill. On the second night, again, had to ask multiple times for the menu. I only ordered mocktails and ordered a 'Sunset' for the road - after 20 minutes, 2 glasses of Sancerre arrived, clearly for another table. Needless to say, my 'Sunset' never materialised... absolutely zero customer service. Beautiful setting but that's about all.

Extremely poor service. The young staff are untrained and poorly guided to deliver a 5 star rating. There are a few staff that were good but that’s it.||The sun lounge area to the beach is shockingly over occupied with millimetres from sun lounger to sun lounger this is due to the management allowing the public to use all the facilities at a price which leaves the paying guests forced to be packed in like sardines. Why the hell do they allow this to the general public when it’s only a small place. They obviously do not care about the paying customers as they have already taken your money which is extremely expensive.||The bar area in the late afternoon and evening is the same, small space which would be fine but again open to the general public. Felt really uncomfortable with it being so packed.||I blame the manager for this, he was totally rude and did not care about anything. He was totally uneducated with the surrounding area and with his staff. I asked him what restaurant options we had available as it was a Sunday, his reply was “the fancy restaurant “ to which I replied you mean the Michelin Star restaurant. WHAT A CLOWN.||We are fortunate enough to have a sports car to which we wanted to drive to St Tropez and asked the manager the best way to find a secure parking spot, his reply “ get valet parking from one of the hotels in the area, there is a new hotel in the centre which you could do this but can’t remember the name, might be Hotel De Paris”||I replied saying that hotel has been there for over 20 years. WHAT A CLOWN ||Overall, extremely poor, not relaxing, not worth the money, poor service. Sea area extremely congested, bar area extremely congested ||Left this place feeling extremely angry and feel like we have been robbed of a large amount of money. Be warned a lot of the good reviews are from the public using the hotel’s facilities

Google
i really wanted to like it as I’m a huge Fitzgerald fan and I’ve wanted to go for years. Unfortunately it’s way overpriced and so you’re not getting enough for how much you’re paying. The hotel is pretty and nicely perfumed and the staff are very well meaning. However, the rooms are adequate but smaller than at many hotel chains. The one elevator is shared with the service staff so it takes forever and so you end up not even using it. There are a ton of people who buy day passes for the "beach" and that's really the better value. As a hotel guest, you pay almost the same price ~55-60+ euros + they charge you 8 euro / towel / day. (By contrast, I stayed at a hotel in a different town that rented it's guests beach towels for 3 euros for however long the stay was). Then you're paying for food at the beach and the minimum entree is ~35 euros. In your hotel room, there is a sign next to the minibar forbidding you from putting anything in, allegedly for hygenic reasons. I've never seen that at a hotel in my life and it just makes you feel like this is another way they're forcing you to pay for overpriced food. Turndown service was inconsistent and service was slow at the bar. Not a big deal, if you're paying reasonable prices but for what the rooms cost, unfortunately it's just not worth it.

Beautiful atmosphere. Accommodating staff. Hospitality at its finest. Picturesque backdrop. What more could you ask for? Also, Luca is fantastic. We had a minor issue with our room not being fully ready upon arrival, and without us even asking he upgraded us to a beautiful room overlooking the water. Amazing. And don't forget to spend some R and R time by the pier. So relaxing.

Google
A Five-Star Price for a Two-Star Experience – Deeply Disappointed at Belle Rives||Belle Rives charges five-star prices but delivers a two-star experience. Rooms are dated, poorly maintained, and far from clean. Service was disorganized and indifferent, with simple requests repeatedly ignored.||The restaurant was equally underwhelming—overpriced, bland food served without care. When I raised concerns, management showed no interest in resolving anything.||This hotel trades on its reputation, not on quality or service. For the cost, you’ll find far better options elsewhere. Avoid if you value comfort, professionalism, or value for money.

I stayed at the beautiful Belles Rives for an extended stay prior to my son’s wedding held at the hotel. My stay and the wedding that followed were absolutely magical! The history of the gorgeous hotel, the breathtaking view, delightful climate, delicious food, outstanding service, and everything about the wedding and reception were spectacular! And it all wrapped-up with fireworks over the water! ||I highly recommend this hotel for a special event or just for R&R!

Yelp
My husband and I recently dined at Plage Belles Rives in Antibes, and unfortunately, our experience was rather disappointing, especially given the restaurant's reputation. We were seated right away, but it took about 15 minutes for someone to even ask if we wanted water. It then took an additional 25 minutes to get a menu, with the explanation that they were running low on them--this seemed odd, especially since the restaurant wasn't even half full. When we finally received our starter, the three squares of flattened focaccia were quite stale. Despite our best efforts, we only managed to get one serving of water throughout the entire meal, as our waiter seemed to disappear. The food itself was a mixed bag. The tuna appetizer with yuzu passion sauce was excellent, and our main dishes--the burrata with penne and the sea bass--were mostly enjoyable. However, the sea bass was overcooked and dry, and the side salads were nothing more than a few leaves and some sliced cherry tomatoes--not what you'd expect from a fine dining establishment. The view of the sunset was absolutely stunning, which was a highlight of the evening. But unfortunately, the service issues persisted. It took 20-30 minutes just to get our check and pay, even after asking three different servers. I really wanted to love this place and recommend it to others, but the poor service and inconsistency in food quality left us disappointed. I hope they can improve for future guests, but as it stands, I can't say I'd return.

Yelp
Hotel Belles Rives is a former vacation home of F. Scott Fitzgerald and is beautifully decorated in an Art Deco style with lots of nooks and crannies to explore. There is a fabulous fine dining restaurant, an elegant bar and a restaurant out on the jetty. It's quite an experience to sit back and enjoy a delicious cocktail or meal in such exquisite surroundings! Definitely go if you have a chance.

Yelp
With fabulous stories and a rich history, this hotel is unique and an absolute gem on the Cap D'Antibes. From F. Scott Fitzgerald tales to historic features like the guest elevator and old-school room keys, Belles Rives has an air of grace and charm that makes for the perfect location for a riviera stay. The food and service is absolutely perfect, rooms are dated but classic and comfortable, and the views of the bay cannot be beaten.

Yelp
Beautiful luxurious historic property on the French coast. The property is elegant, the facilities are well-maintained and the setting is breathtaking. You can reserve your own spot for the day at different parts of the beach or the jetty. Incredible service and the food was mouthwatering! If you are on the fence about where to stay this is your place!!

Yelp
Came here for the obvious history behind it with F Scott Fitzgerald having spent time here for years while writing The Great Gatsby. As soon as you walk in the front doors, you can see how beautiful the back area with the ocean, dock and tables sitting along the water. It's breathtaking and the hotel is in great condition if not brand new. I had such great service from various members of the staff, a delicious salmon tartare and gin fizz. Coming from New York, I cannot say that it is expensive but for the lunch I had which consisted of a large sparkling water, cafe noisette, gin fizz, and salmon tartare, I spent around $50-60. That seems fair given the atmosphere.

Yelp
Putting 4 and not 5 stars because although it claims 5 stars, their are certain aspects of the hotel that are not and to me, the place does need improvement to be a real 5 star hotel. The main issues for me were mostly details (no shower cap in bathroom, water bottle not replaced in room, glasses not perfectly dry at the restaurant, piano bar closing early and missing some drinks...) Also the staff feels mostly novice, inexperienced, which doesn't make you feel like you're in a proper 5 star. The location is unbeatable in the area and it is a charming hotel filled with arty history. The food at the restaurant is fantastic. The Michelin star is well deserved. When having lunch there during our stay, they had put a family on the table we had specifically booked in person... While trying to place us on another (less nice) table, the staff argued (argued!) that it had rained and they had put people inside including on our table (not an excuse, especially when other tables were free). We thought that was highly unprofessional and again, not a 5 star anecdote. Eventually they came back to their senses and offered a round of Champagne. Thanks, but still. Not our table.. Overall a good hotel but you will need to lower your expectations on the 5 star aspect of things in order to not be disappointed.

Yelp
The rooms are very small and the staff is slow. The views are nice. Fitzgerald Bar is great for sunset, but they are understaffed. It took forever to get drinks and no one seemed to care. We waited almost 20 minutes for someone to take our order.

Yelp
The Belles Rives is a charming hotel overlooking the sea. It's simply stunning. The rooms are small but well decorated and when you can open the French doors to overlook the beautiful ocean, what more do you need? Ooh, you'd like a kind staff and beautiful lounge where they are playing Mumford and Sons on the piano - done. The paintings alone are worth a visit. Highly recommended.

Yelp
Burcu was our charming waitress at Plage Belles Rives restaurant. Always smiling and accommodating. A great representative for a wonderful hotel.
