I loved my tea and coffee in the lobby…the service seemed to be half professional but kind and lovely….can’t complain. But the carrot cake didn’t seem to be homemade to me at all…something similar what I usually buy in coop or so, as a regular guest I expect something better quality, it was very poor presented. I prefer to pay a bit more at such a place but get something signature and homemade. the cake was not a case at all in my opinion. The evening was made by bartender Marco. Very professional, friendly and the cocktails made by him were probably the best in town. Bar manager Christian was also very friend and attentive. Amazing bar service, unfortunately I would love to see tome improvements in lobby service and kitchen as well. I will be still back cause I love the place and really hope to see the improvements. Best regards ❤️

This is an historic landmark and beautiful hotel in Bern. My husband and I loved the decor and accommodations. It is breathtakingly expensive - we received a discount on our accommodations which made it more palatable. Our superior room was elegant and we had a gorgeous view over the bridge, river and alps. Both restaurants were excellent. We particularly enjoyed the view from the Brasserie Vue. We had a delightful stay and consider the hotel a special experience.

I echo the review posted by Ron Goodwin. I thought the hotel was excellent, the common areas were welcoming, the staff were friendly and helpful and the food and drinks were excellent. I enjoyed my stay here very much. I also very much enjoyed the gluten free options for breakfast and dinner. I would thoroughly enjoy staying here again when I return to Bern.

Excellent and professionally run hotel. Rooms were well designed; retaining their regal appearance while still ensuring relevant modern furnishings; clean and well maintained; wonderful views of the city from the balcony and windows. The location was in the heart of the city making it easy walking distance for most places.

With a price much more than average five-star hotels, we only got a wall-facing suite, located directly toward the lift. I would not come back as it was way too below my expectation, sad to say. Only thing is the location, which is good enough. I am just wondering why the aircon is functioning in this way which caused me blocked nose even with a temp fan put into the room. Last but not lease, facial tissue was not refilled. Very very disappointed.

Wow, what an incredible stay we had at the Bellevue Hotel! From the moment we arrived, the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and taken care of. Their kindness and accommodating nature truly made our experience special. The hotel itself is absolutely stunning. Everything was immaculate and beautifully maintained, creating a truly luxurious atmosphere. Our room was perfectly appointed – spacious and comfortable, with two TVs (a definite plus!), plenty of storage for our clothes on hangers, and a gorgeous bathroom complete with heated towel racks! They really thought of every little detail to ensure a wonderful stay. We so appreciated the attention to comfort and the overall elegance of the room. The Bellevue Hotel definitely exceeded our expectations, and we can't wait to return!

My mother and I spent a few unforgettable days at the Bellevue in Bern, and it truly felt like stepping into a world of quiet elegance and warm hospitality. From the moment we arrived, every detail was handled with care and grace A special thank you to Chiara at the front office and Ellis for their kindness and professionalism. This wasn’t just a stay — it was an experience. We left with full hearts and beautiful memories. We will definitely be back!

The Bellevue Palace was part of a Tauck river cruise tour. The front desk staff was incredibly professional, responsive, and always friendly! The location was great for exploring the city on foot and getting to local dining.||||The only drawback for us was that the rooms were very warm at night. The hotel did provide a Dyson fan (very quiet) which was helpful.

Yelp
The service, atmosphere, veal chop and chocolate mousse were decadent and worth the $$$$ rating. If you visit Bern, spend the money to enjoy a formal and scrumptious dinner- with views to die for!

Yelp
Delicious meal right in the heart of charming Bern. We got a reservation for two and enjoyed our meal here. The mosaic de 3 fish was good but my favorite was probably my main dish of pigeon. My husband loved his steak. Would recommend.

Yelp
We are staying in an Air B&B on the mountain and did not want to drive back down, so came in for a late dinner. The service was super friendly and attentive and the food was absolutely fantastic. I had the pork steak with vegetables; with fresh string beans, carrots, broccoli, chayote and fries. Everything was great- the pork was tender and juicy, perfectly cooked, and the veggies were delicious. It was the best meal so far after over 2 weeks in Europe. My friends ordered the pork schnitzel and it was also perfect. We also had the ice cream cake with strawberry sorbet and it was amazing. The prices were very reasonable, and during warmer weather the outdoor dining and view would be quite memorable. We will go back!

Yelp
So this review is for the Bellevue Palace Hotel's Vue Restaurant - and what an elegant spot for a refined luncheon or dinner! Of course, there's the great view of the Bern River valley coursing its leisurely way through the city, but it's also a classy dining area with crisp white tablecloths, sparkling tableware, and top-notch attentive Swiss service. (And Swiss tidiness - they collect your overcoats and such for the coat-check so as not to disturb the dining room's appearance with unruly jackets draped all over the chairbacks!) They had a "businessman's" lunch menu that looked good, so I chose that and selected a salmon tartare for an appetizer (fatty and unctuous, deliciously seasoned and garnished); the roasted cod for main entree (excellent); and a refreshing limoncello ice with a fruit coulis comprised of blueberries, ligonberries, and raspberries. A nice strong coffee rounded out the meal. Wait service was great - made you feel like royalty!

Yelp
Great restaurant, amazing service, very exquisite. Meal sizes were tiny for the price you pay, but absolutely delicious.

Yelp
We are staying at the hotel and had Sunday brunch when we arrived. It was good, but expensive. After a poor dinner at a local restaurant we decided to go to the hotel bar at the restaurant. The bartender Marc Uthe was awesome and very nice to talk with. He was first class all the way and the drinks were excellent. The atmosphere was also very nice outside on the terrace.

Yelp
The question when staying in Bern, where should I stay at the Bellevue Palace or the Schweizerhoff? Bellevue: great view. Large and beautiful lobby/atrium. The terrace overlooking the river is breath taking. The service throughout the hotel is Swiss at its finest. A classical European hotel that is very rare in the abstract world we live in. Schweizerhoff. Location convenience across from train station and shopping arcade. Spa to die for.

Yelp
Two days in a row for dinner and it was excellent! Truly a feast for the pallets as they give you many variations even for traditional dishes and also has unique tastes such as "blue brain" cheese and even has great Italian coffee ... Correctto espresso ... try it!

Yelp
This former private residence is a spectacular place to spend a few days in Bern. Everything is expensive in Switzerland but once you accept that and enjoy this palace you wont be disappointed. Rooms with a view of the river are especially quaint and very peaceful. Wide hallways and beautiful fixtures and art make this place special. Enjoyed having truffles shaved on my pasta and my partner said his chateaubriand was superb. Asparagus and fresh mushrooms were in season so along with a dollop of hollandaise we were in heaven. I would go back here in a heartbeat although we've only been here twice. Fills up quickly if an international conference is in town. Enjoy!

Yelp
Didn't stay here but had the most spectacular meal EVER!!! Live a little and be pampered by the most attentive staff. I hated to leave!

Yelp
The rooms are decent but the views are magnificent. The staff is incredibly nice and the service is just phenomenal.
