Feeling scammed. Check-in took half an hour, our room was not ready on time. They gave us a different room than we booked (but still charged us for the better room) which was ugly and run-down and looked nothing like the photos of the room we booked. Dirty vinyl floors instead of wood, chipped paint everywhere, clouds of dust around the bed, hair dryer broken so stuck with wet hair when it was -15 degrees outside. Not acceptable at $236 for one night.

We booked at the Hotel Belley and were given a large room in an adjacent building away from the Tavern Belley, so nice and quiet. The room was large, with a separate bedroom and a nice kitchen. Our one suggestion would be a runner amd bench in the entrance of tbe room to allow for removal and storage of wet, snowy boots and prevent tracking snow through the room

The Belley Hotel was clean, well located and the reception, while located off site, was extremely helpful. There isn’t an elevator but the stairs are well maintained and well lit. The rooms are over a tavern but noise was not a factor.|Enjoy our stay

Stay away from this hotel. It has bedbugs and the management refuses to accept it. I had reserved a room for three nights but I canceled on the second night after talking to the front desk for 20 minutes and explaining the situation. They told me at first to send the photo and the videos to get a refund for the first night, but now they are refusing to reimburse for the hellish night I experienced in their bed bug infested room. I have spend more than 100$ on medications so far.

We really enjoyed our overnight stay at the Hotel Belley! It's steps from the Old City, and very close to the train station. The room was very clean, and well appointed with private bathroom, frig, and coffee. Easy check-in next door at the Hotel Saint-Paul.Though other reviewers mentioned noise from the pub downstairs, it was very quiet during our Thurday night stay. We went to bed early and slept great. I would highly recommend this as a budget alternative that doesn't feel like one.

Do not book this hotel on a Thursday, Friday or Saturday night if you are looking for a good sleep. The units are situated directly on top of a late night pub that plays extremely loud music until 4-5am. You can hear people partying on the patio through the window and the music from the bar through your floor. These units should only be for heavy sleepers or people who will be partying late. Otherwise, the unit itself is very comfortable and clean. The location is also very good.

The room itself was fine, however we encountered some plumbing issues (both toilet and shower clogged). There was a presence of black mold in the shower. Aside from this, guests should note that the bar below doesn't close until 4-5am. We stayed for one night before getting transferred to Hotel St-Paul (much better hotel), due to plumbing issues. The noise from the bar vibrated through the floor, and guests out on the patio were loud at times, making it tough to sleep through the night. Staff were great at moving us to the other hotel at no charge. More soundproofing is needed for first floor rooms, so that hotel guests enjoy their stay as much as bar patrons enjoy their night out.

Mostly enjoyed our stay. Check in is across street at Hotel Saint Paul. Staff were friendly and helpful. Room was clean, good size and reasonably priced. Exposed brick wall and hardwood floor added character Shower small but serviceable. Stairs steep but manageable; may be difficult for some elderly or individuals with certain health conditions.Bar downstairs must be open until 3AM. Nice night, people sitting outdoors. Not loud, just convesational voices and occasional laughs, but woke 3X between 1 and 3AM to sound of voices and laughter. Hadn't noticed bathroom window was slightly open until morning, which may have helped if it was closed. Parking is in nearby lot at reasonable price. |

Yelp
This hotel is NOT for the disable or any one with difficulty, the stairs to get to your room were steep and the hotel is actually located right beside a bar. It's pretty closeby from the train station, Gare du Palais, only about 5-10minutes walk. The room was just like in Europe, super tiny and compact, but it was clean. Definitely not for a person taller than 5'10', because the standing shower has a pretty low ceiling and this comment is coming from a girl who's only 5'2". The hotel check-in was shared with the restaurant and bar entrance, so it's a bit tricky. I'm not sure if I would stay here if I'm back in Quebec city, because to haul luggage on steep stair case definitely isn't my choice if I'm traveling heavy.

Yelp
Very poor check-in experience. Very poor check-out experience. Nice room. My wife and I stayed here for one night in June 2017. When we arrived after a short walk from the rain station in the rain, we looked for the sign saying, Hotel Belley. We walked in, only to be told by a restaurant employee that hotel check-in is across the street in a different building. So we walked across the street in the rain, looking for a sign saying "Hotel Belley Reception" or something similar, but there was no indication of where we should go. So we went back and asked again, and the restaurant employee explained that the check-in for Hotel Belley is actually at the Hotel Saint Paul. There is a sign for the Hotel Saint Paul. We were able to check in. Then, we could not find the door to the stairs leading to our room, because nobody told us how to get to the room. When asked again and when we finally got to the room, we found an attractive room with an exposed brick wall and a mish-mash of modern furnishings that worked very nicely. The hotel is on a busy street, but high-quality windows keep the noise out. No complaints about the room. It seemed appropriate for the price of $160 Canadian. Then came time for check-out. We walked across the street again to the hotel Saint Paul at 10:30am to check out, but nobody was there! We waited 10 minutes, then came back to the building where the rooms are located and asked staff again, and they found the front desk employee that was supposed to be at the front desk, so we all went back to Hotel Saint Paul to check out. We finally got it done. When I saw my bank statement a few days later, it said I had paid my money to the Hotel Saint Paul. Funny! (as in stupid!). I do not recommend this hotel. It's confusing and dysfunctional in the way it is arranged physically, and in the way it is managed. There is a lack of appropriate signs, a lack of spoken directions, and very poor service overall. Cute spot, decent location, but totally aggravating and annoying.
