We stayed 3 weeks - Dec 15 - Jan 5/26, prior to moving into our apartment. Here's what we loved about the place: location, conveniently located to everything you need - everything. Adrian, Hotel Reception afternoon shift - this man was WONDERFUL, can't say enough about him - he helped us with every need we had. He took care of all our needs, getting us a driver to go to Bucerias, anything we needed he was there. We enjoyed our conversations, he is well extremely well spoken in English & a very charming person. We were told @ booking, that drinking water would be included & was disappointed when we were told it wasn't. When Adrian arrived, he assured me it was, & took care of the matter for us right away. Carried it up himself all 85 steps. We had some difficulty getting our room cleaned at first, but that was because we were not told the process when we checked in. Again, Adrian stepped up & explained everything that was missed at check in. Shout out to Job who checked us in early check in & fixed our A/C when we had an issue. Shout out to Ever who was kind & helped us with our luggage. Wow was he strong - he carried all 3 of our bags down 85 steps. And he always asked how we were, was everything ok and he was always smiling!! We had an efficiency suite on the top floor - so we had what we needed to make small meals. The 2 burner hot plate was outdated but it worked ok for our needs. The shower pressure is low, but the water was hot - that's what mattered. The linens were white & clean & fresh. We had 2 challenges overall - STAIRS, no elevators, 85 steps to the top floor & 85 back down. We knew that going in, but it was tough. I'm in good physical condition, but anyone with physical problems, this is going to be a challenge. We are getting older & it was struggle, especially in the heat. We had of luggage because we are here for 3 months - thank goodness for Job who carried it up & for Ever who carried it down. My biggest issue was NOISE. I had a hard time sleeping. I'm a light sleeper. Light comes in the room, from all facets. If you are a light sleeper, this place is not for you. The hotel is open air & voices would carry all the way from the bottom to the top - at all hours of the day. Noise on the street, from traffic, rarely settled down until about 3 am. The room was not sound proof either & the boom boom boom from the roof top bar across the street late at night was extremely frustrating. Another challenge was that our floor, had a seating area, & loungers. Other hotel guests thought it was ok to come upstairs to our floor - drink alcohol & sit outside our room talking, & laughing loud late at night. It was very frustrating. There are no phones in the room so the only way you can connect the front desk without running downstairs, is via WhatsApp. To their credit, when I contacted them, they came up right away and asked these people to leave. Thank you midnight shift - we truly appreciated your expediency. I never met Gisela the Manager, but I want her to know, if she's reading this. Adrian goes above and beyond, he understands a great business model. He also helped another guest - whom we befriended (he became our son away from home), & he shared his story with us & how Adrian helped him too. The attributes, definitely outweighed the challenges and I gave it 4 stars because of Adrian. Mary & John.

Amazing staff. They do their best to help the guests. Adrian is a great guy. He is very respectful. He has been very accomodating for last minute bookings we had. I highly recommend this place.

Clean, bright room with balcony and kitchenette. The location was perfect - walkable to everything. The staff were helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay here again.

We were in hiker 2 - lovely room, lovely room, lovely staff. Great stay if you are looking for something affordable that is really close to the beach and in the middle of town. Loads of food places nearby. Rooms are super clean, and the wifi is great. We saw fireworks over the water every night from our balcony!

Location is very convenient, but on a very busy street on the main highway 200 that carries what seems like a hundred bus routes, and plenty of construction vehicles. Bed was pretty comfy, obviously a new mattress, linens high quality and clean. Room was pretty clean but not spotless. One ceiling fan has only two noisy speeds, supersonic, and 2xsupersonic. Didn't use much. Lighting is poor, no overhead lights and no electrical or lights on two walls, nothing over the bed for reading. Awkward for laptop and phone charging. One plug in the kitchen only worked sometimes. Bathroom is serviceable, bit cramped. The toilet seat looks like it's as old as the hotel is. Well worn. TV mounted right at the ceiling gave me a stiff neck.

Had a good stay. Was pleased with quality of wi-fi(which can be a problem in PV) and responsiveness of their staff. It seemed to me that they were concerned that i was enjoying my stay. I would book again if I was to stay in that area of PV.

It's in a great spot if you want to walk around and see all pv has to offer. Basic rooms that are safe and clean at very reasonable prices. Staff is friendly. Free coffee and cookies in the morning. Very close to bus and great restaurants, beach, walkable to malecon.

I had a great experience here. I liked the little touches that were added to make it feel comfortable. The balcony in the morning was nice to sit outside and watch the day begin. The staff could not have been nicer, friendlier or more helpful. Good value for money and good location and I enjoyed the artwork throughout the hotel. Clean and nice vibe. Note I was there as a single traveler and felt safe.

Yelp
I've stayed at the Belmar 5 times on various visits to PV. It's centrally located in South Side/Old Town with restaurants, bars, and shopping right outside the door - Los Muertos beach is just a few blocks away. I've stayed in both the interior rooms and exterior rooms. The interior room are pretty small but I was only sleeping there and didn't need a lot of space. The exterior rooms are larger, with air conditioning, and they also have a balcony but get more of the street noise. Rooms have flat screen TVs with about 90 channels that showed mostly programming in Spanish but did have a few in English. There was plenty of hot water in the shower, and the the ceiling fans provided good air circulation and on the highest setting, could probably peal the paint off the walls. The mattresses are firm and the pillows are comfortable enough for a good night sleep. There are small room safes that were large enough to accompany my iPad and camera. The hotel also offers free WiFi with a strong signal and fast connection. I would definitely stay here again

Yelp
Great location in the Zona Romantica. This hotel has a great value due to the fact that it's close to several restaurants, bars and shopping. I highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for a quick room. The hotel had no elevators so if you have issues with stairs make sure you request a room on the first or second floor.

Yelp
I'll simplify this hotel for you all... PROS: Safety Deposit Box (in room) Comfortable bed Ceiling fan In room A/C Updated bathrooms Balcony Friendly staff Morning local fruit and lemon water Excellent location CONS : Rather small size room (not for families) but great for couples or lone travelers.

Yelp
This is a great hotel. I've stayed here twice and both were good experiences. It's clean, modern, and the staff is friendly.
