A disappointing experience and overall poor value for money. The hotel sells itself as 5 stars, which is reflected in the price (we paid c. €400/night in early November) but not in other important aspects like the rooms, the logistics and especially the customer service. The decoration of our ground floor room was not worth of a 5-star hotel and the heating worked only 1 out of 4 days in the hotel. While the staff was definitely friendly, they seemed not to take our issues seriously enough as the heating was only taken care of 2 days after we first signalled the topic. On one day, the announced "Aufguss" in the sauna simply did not take place, leaving around 20 customers waiting uselessly for someone from the staff to show up. Also, while food is generally OK for both breakfast and dinner, we felt it was still not meeting the expectations of a 5-star hotel. In particular, dinner portions were relatively small.
Overall, the hotel has the potential to be a true 5-star given the breathtaking location and the great SPA, but a number of aspects including the room decoration, customer service, and especially price have to be reviewed.
