Hotel Benevento

I spent one night at a hotel in La Plata with my girlfriend, and unfortunately, the experience was disappointing. Although the hotel had central heating, it was either turned off or not working, which left us cold during the night, with temperatures around 8 degrees Celsius.||The room was extremely small, the curtains were broken, and they let in light very early, waking us up before 7 a.m.||The breakfast buffet was very poor: the “pastafrola” was not fresh, and the coffee machine only provided hot water instead of milk, so the “coffee with milk” was actually watered-down coffee and tasted bad.||To top it off, we were charged more upon arrival than we had been previously informed. In short, I would not return to this hotel. The value for money was disappointing.

The hotel needs to be refinished and properly staffed. The room was very small and not very clean; the safe box was too small to keep an iPad inside; because the place is understaffed one has to wait too long to get missing hangers or the wi-fi turned on. The breakfast buffet was too basic. The mattress was good, however. We thought it was safe to walk to a restaurant in the city center in the evening but were told to call a taxi instead. All things considered, it was little value for the money.

Good location, about 200 metres from the railway station. The city centre and the cathedral are about 2km away. Shops and restaurants are closer by. The staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is included and it includes ham, cheese and a boiled egg besides the usual Argentine sweet fare.||Two or three steps to get to the lift may be a problem for some people though. the bathroom was a bit on the small side but still alright.

This is a nice hotel and fairly located to get around in La Plata. Not in city center but within walking distance of city center and museum. Hotel has breakfast included in room price. Hotel has air conditioning but not control in room, it is like a central unit for each floor that is control by thermostat in hallway. This is a little annoying because anyone can change setting so you can not keep your room cooler than rest of floor if you so choose. They also turn off the ac during days/nights when it is a little cool outside without notifying you. This can be an issue since the rooms do warm up so you must open the doors if you have a balcony and can indure the traffic noise. Wifi is everywhere but there is times when it is out and you have to request them to reset router. Everyone at hotel are nice but do move a little slower than I liked. Rooms not well insulated and you do hear hallway noise and noise from other rooms. This was not a big issue since it only lasted for a minute or so. Much different than in states with locking door. You must lock door when you leave, unlock when you arrive and lock again once you are inside your room. If you do not do this then anyone can come into your room. In states your door usually locks when you close door.

Stayed here a couple of nights on a work trip. The hotel is old and the interior looks tired. Mayor renovations would give this place back a lot of its style. ||The room itself was very small as well as the bed. I couldnt really have a good rest on it. Also the room is too old to be cleaned properly.||the breakfast was very simple. ||||For the two nights I stayed here it was a sufficient accomodation and it looks like there isnt much to choose from in La Plata. This hoptel and the city as a whole I cant recommend to go unless you need to.

Hotel Benevento is a bit far from the city center so a taxi or bus ride is required. The hotel is nice but definitely dated. The staff is friendly and the room was clean. We had continental breakfast included which was pretty plain.

Good small hotel. Helpful staff, good breakfast and nice rooms.
