A surprisingly beautiful hotel that ticked many boxes. The check-in process was super smooth. The rooms were a lovely size, cleaned daily, air conditioning, and all the amenities you’d expect from a hotel. ||The pool area was lovely. Really clean space and lots of sunbeds to choose from, including the Balinese beds which we treated ourselves to on our last day. Sunbeds cannot be ‘claimed’ before 9am, and towels cannot be left unattended for more than 30mins or your towel will be removed. Please be aware that a member of staff is continuously walking around checking this, but it’s great to know that you do not need to rush down at crazy AM to grab a bed. ||Pool bar was lovely, and the food served from the pool bar ranged between 12-16 euros. Lots to choose from including salads, pizzas, burgers, bagels etc. My daily iced oat milk latte was around 4euros. ||Staff were all super lovely and helpful. We wouldn’t hesitate to book again!

Just got back from a gorgeous stay at the Mercure Hotel. The staff were super helpful and lovely and nothing at all was too much trouble. The cocktails were really nice, priced around 10-12 euros and there was a wide choice of beers, soft drinks and spirits available. You must try the sangria,l or iced coffees- not on the menu but they are so nice!! |The breakfast that was included was absolutely amazing, so much choice. The earlier you go down, probably the better just because it does get a bit busy. But I never found I couldn’t get a seat or any food. Not loads of sunbeds but we found some at the back behind the Bali beds which were almost always free and got a good patch of sun throughout the day. The pool bar food was delicious and on the beds closest to the pool, you can scan a QR code and order to your table. Pool was lovely, and just the right temp and the poolside was immaculate. There was somebody on sunbed duty making sure people were not leaving their towels for more than half an hour which I thought was a great idea. The rooms were lovely and you got a robe and slippers in there which I thought was a nice touch. |It was a shame that unfortunately there was a guest in particular that thought she could get absolutely off her face drunk and bring her own alcohol round the pool, then proceed to flash everyone multiple times and give the staff and other guests abuse when asked to stop. This made everyone so uncomfortable and it was quite frankly, embarrassing to watch. I am all for having fun and having a few drinks but it wasn’t the place for this kind of behaviour. The staff handled this situation so well and she was asked to leave so I just wanted to mention this as they don’t stand for any messing. |All in all, I loved my stay here and I know for a fact so did all the guests I was with did too.|Thank you :-)

Lovely hotel, close to the beach like a 5 minute walk. Old town is about 10 mins away and then its new town.|Its lovely and clean and the hotel smells amazing! I was on floor 4 and it smelt like the perfume department at harrods.||Sunbeds - unless you get there at 9am you won't get a bed by the pool. There are plenty of beds in the surrounding area but they don't get full sun because of the trees so will be shaded. ||Breakfast - good choice of English breakfast, fruits, meats, cereal, cake, chocolate fountain, pastries etc||Rooms - aircon is brilliant and it stays on all day not like some hotels where it turns old if the balcony door is open.

We stayed in Mercure for one week in a deluxe room. The room was clean, spacious and perfectly equipped, the staff is super friendly and the location is really nice. ||However, there are some important things which makes me feel Mercure is more of a 3* hotel. First of all, the breakfast is nice but not great (juice is out of a can for example, which I don't expect it to be when 4*). The dinner buffet is very small, a salad bar and some desserts but only a few choices for main course, of which ofter pork (which I don't eat). See picture for reference. Moreover, there are way too few sunbeds which causes you to not be able to lie on the pool if you don't claim a bed in the early morning. Renting a Bali bed is the only other option and starts from 50€ a day which I think is quite ridiculous. Some days there is a DJ at the pool who plays VERY loud music - I won't expect this at a "luxury" hotel. Your pool towel can be changed for free only once a week. ||Overall, I think the hotel is OK but certainly not great. I won't recommend to pay extra for dinner by all means, as there are lots of options to eat out just on a few minutes walk max.

Lovely place to stay, a short walk from the beach, or the tram station. Hotel is really clean. Bar staff make the best cocktails ( 10 euros each) although the service can be a little slow. |The sunbed situation can be challenging as limited numbers and not always in the sun.|Would I stay there again it’s a definite yes from me

We stayed in October last year and for the most part everything I noted in my review at that time still stands - extremely friendly and helpful staff all round (reception, food service, pool service and housekeeping). Once again on this visit our room was clean and always kept that way, the breakfast choice was substantial and fresh and the bar and pool / patio area is lovely and well looked after by the team. However.....||For some reason, despite my understanding and expectation of the hotels policies, leading up to and over the weekend I can only describe the place as "invaded" by single-sex groups which turned the hotel in to "Little Levante". It was noticeable how the pool area was essentially overrun and consequently forced the usual residents to the outer reaches to escape the noise, foul language and long distance communications with friends on the upper floor balconies.||Ultimately its not what we expected for the Mercure. I have no issue with such parties - I was young once - but I don't think the Mercure in the Poniente end of town is the place for this and perhaps naively expected the same relaxing holiday we had had last year.||The kicker is that we are pre-booked for October this year and I can only hope this is a blip and a circumstance we do not experience again.

Food was a hit or a miss. Undercooked Paella. Tasteless fiedeao, and no seasoning in the mac cheese. Salad bar was fantastic, great choice of cold food. The air conditioning in my room was not working. Reported the issue to reception, 24 hours later, they had done nothing about the air conditioning. I went back to reception, and 5 minutes later, the electrician attended and sorted the issue by resetting the control! Lack of action is not what you expect from a 4* plus hotel. |There is no entertainment in the hotel except for a yoga class at the weekend. The piped music around the pool is very loud and intrusive, not relaxing. This music can be heard in the bedrooms. Staff are very friendly and generally helpful. The bedrooms and hotel is kept exceptionally clean, and the housekeeping staff do a great job.
