We stayed at this hotel for one night and had a mixed experience. On the positive side, check-in was quick and easy, and the staff were friendly and welcoming. Free parking was a plus, and the bed was surprisingly comfortable. The shower also had good water pressure, which I appreciated. However, the overall quality of the building was disappointing. The construction feels extremely cheap—every sound carries through the walls and ceiling. I could hear people walking and talking in the hallway, conversations from the room next door, and even small things like someone unplugging a device or switching on a light. It made for a very restless night. There’s no air conditioning or proper ventilation—just one small window that doesn’t provide much airflow. On warm nights, this becomes a real issue. Also, there are no blackout curtains, only roller blinds that do little to block out the light. Especially during the bright summer months, this makes it hard to get quality sleep. The furniture was worn out and dated, and the bathroom showed signs of mold, which was unpleasant. In summary, while the staff and basic amenities like parking and water pressure were good, the lack of soundproofing, ventilation, and proper window coverings make it hard to recommend this place.

What an amazing way to spend my 50th birthday. Perfectly situated. Fantastic service. Amazing hot tub. Couldn’t fill this place in any way. Loved every minute. Iceland isn’t cheap, but with the fridge in your room, you can go to supermarkets And manage your budget to suit your needs. So warm and truly Icelandic. What lovely people. Thank you!

Fantastic hotel. We had dropped our bags to reception early before we dropped our van off. We were told our room would be ready from 12pm and we were even given a complimentary upgrade to a superior room. |The room was very spacious, with an enormous bed, comfortable bedding, a couple of chairs and a desk area. The bathroom was fully equipped with luxury toiletries, towels, face cloths and a hair dryer. There was a lovely terrace area with harbour views.|We even made use of the rooftop pool, offering views over Keflavik.|We ate in the hotel restaurant which was delicious too, and very generous portions.|The inclusion of the hotel shuttle service was a life saver too.||We will definitely return!

I got a room with doors and windows that didn't have a great seal. Stayed on a night when it was windy and I couldn't sleep because the wind kept howling through the doors and windows. It was very loud and honestly quite unfortunate that the hotel fails the basic requirements of providing a good night's rest :( However, the heated pool was nice and the room was in good condition otherwise.

We only stayed one night at Hotel Berg, but it was absolutely perfect. The hotel is beautiful and in a great spot, right by a little marina, super close to the Blue Lagoon, and only about 10 minutes from the airport. The free airport shuttle was such a nice bonus, and the room was modern, clean, and really comfy. The lobby was also a lovely place to hang out while waiting for our ride. The best part? We got to see the Northern Lights right above the hotel! We had heard that this particular area was great for seeing the northern lights, and it did not disappoint. It made our last night in Iceland so special. Highly recommend this place to anyone visiting the area!

My wife and I are repeat travelers to Iceland and always do a one night stopover at Hotel Berg at the end of our stay. Super convenient location to the have a short drive to the airport where we drop our rental car, removes much of the stress of a travel day. The hotel is gorgeous Iceland boutique style, with a very aesthetically pleasing rooftop hot tub with convenient showers / changing rooms adjacent. Nice / interesting rooms, we get one with a lofted bed which is very unique. The restaurant is fabulous and in the same class as the better ones in Reykjavik. Staff have always been delightful. Well ran and comfortable hotel!

The hotel was awesome. Checkinf in was very smooth, the hot tub was nice and heated. We had to leave at 5 in the morning to catch a flight, and the hotel provided a service to take us there smoothl

Stayed here after a tour, probably the best hotel in the area and it offers a very handy airport shuttle 24/7. Rooms vary in size, ours (Room 130) was cramped for 2 people and had no radiators/towel rail to help with washing. He room was also directly next to the shuttle parking, so noisy throughout the night; ask for another room if you are ofered 130. The safe and fridge could not be used either, though Reception said they were sorry and would report these problems; not in time for us though. Note that if you leave for the airport before breakfast at 7am you will be given a breakfast box; ours contained a dry bread sandwich, a small yoghurt and fruit (which was nice) and a bottle of water - way below what you would expect expect from an otherwise high quality hotel. Feedback given to Reception who were, yet again 'sorry'.
