Hotel Bernerhof Interlaken

Very nice clean room but very expensive compared to other places we stayed in Switzerland. Our room was supposed to have a/c but we could not figure it out. We had to crack our window to sleep. The noise from the restaurant downstairs kept us up late every night. I’d recommend getting a room in the back away from the street noise. This hotel is in a great location within easy walking distance from the Interlaken West train station. Very nice breakfast with a good selection. Front desk staff were wonderful with directions and suggestions.||The hotel makes a point of telling guests they are not affiliated with the restaurant downstairs. I am grateful that I read the reviews before we ate there. Reviews are awful. We opted for Husi Bierhaus, an easy 10 minute walk.

We stayed here in July 2025 and we had a great experience. The check in was very informational and gave us tips on the weather. Our room was very clean, spacious and nicely designed (room for 3). We also had a great balcony view that we weren't expecting. We got breakfast and they had a large spread of many different options, also with a nice view of the landscapes. The best part of this hotel was the location! Only a 2 min walk from Interlaken West and the bus station. We got free bus cards from the hotel to take the bus anywhere and it was pretty manageable to navigate. The lakes nearby were beautiful and so many restaurants, shops, etc within walking distance. Would highly recommend this to a friend!

This is such a great hotel, so close to the Interlaken West train and bus station. Very clean rooms, very friendly staff who greeted us each day and were very helpful. The breakfast included was also nice as the area tends to be pretty expensive. I did ask for my room to be upgraded with air conditioning two days before checking in and am so glad I did, well worth it for the view and cool room. We slept well, and would love to come back again someday. View is from our room balcony!

This is a wonderful hotel in a wonderful location of Interlaken. It is on the main downtown area and just in front of Interlaken West train station. Our room was for a family of three and it was quite spacious and very clean. The view of the mountains from the balcony was excellent. They have a wonderful breakfast! Would like to give a special shout out to Doreen at the front desk! She was a gracious host and helped us with lot of good suggestions while exploring Interlaken and the surrounding areas. She made our stay much more memorable!!!!

We stayed at the Hotel Bernerhof for 10 nights. The location is great right next to Interlaken West train station, the bus station and the boat stop for trips on Lake Thun. There are also shops and restaurants nearby. The staff were very friendly and the room clean. The breakfast every morning was delicious especially the scrambled egg which is the best I've ever had in a hotel! We had a mountain view room with a balcony which was really good. The A/C was really good too. We would definitely stay here again.

The hotel has a great location, just a 2-minute walk from the train and bus station.|Mr. Jerome at reception was friendly, helpful, and informative.|The room was functional, clean, and quiet; The pillows and mattress were comfortable for us.|Breakfast was simple but enjoyable, with a nice touch that guests can boil their own eggs and choose the cooking time.|Tea and coffee were available in the lobby, which was a pleasant bonus.|The hotel provides an Interlaken Guest Card, which includes free local bus transportation (as well as train rides between Interlaken West and Ost stations) and discounts on attractions such as the boat to Brienz, the Harder funicular, ....

Overall good experience and would recommend. Location is unbeatable and accommodation while simple was very clean. Price is a little high for the room itself but given peak season and location to train station I understand people are willing to pay for it. Jerome at front desk was friendly and helpful

When searching for hotels in Interlaken, we essentially had two requirements|1) Central location|2) Parking||Hotel Bernerhof met both of these requirements, and though the price on the higher end, for a one night stay it was worth it from our perspective.||Breakfast had a good variety of cold/warm dishes, coffee machine was good and the service was attentive from reception and from breakfast staff. ||Parking is limited to ~6 spots and was based on first come/first serve, they provided you with a key at reception to lower/raise the pole when needed (in/outs were permitted).||Location was convenient in that it was close to the city centre, a nearby Migros that was wildly busy during the evening time (apparently plenty of people had the same idea that we did in terms of going to the grocery store for a meal instead of paying exorbitant restaurant prices), so be prepared to wait!
