Beautiful hotel with old fashioned values. Our luggage was taken to our room while we tested the bar, breakfast was served in the most stunning room with uniformed waiters.|Our large room was lovely with comfy pillows, we had a balcony.|There was a spa too but we didn’t take advantage.|Breakfast was excellent especially in the stunning room.|Staff were excellent and helpful. Excellent stay.

Great location, grand hotel with spa, restaurant and many other things which unfortunately we did not have time to use as we only stayed one night. Very spacious elegant room equipped with everything that you would need. Buffet breakfast was good and was served in a grand room which looked like a ballroom from a fairy tale. There was a gap at the bottom of the shower door, which resulted a lot of water escaping to the bathroom floor (and there was no drainage on the bathroom floor). It didn't cause us any issues but if you are staying longer than one night, it maybe a slight issue. Free parking in front of the hotel (although very narrow spaces).

A Magical Christmas Stay in the Swiss Alps – Truly Unforgettable! We stayed at Hotel Bernina over the Christmas holiday, and it was nothing short of spectacular. Nestled in the heart of the mountains, the views were breathtaking—a true winter wonderland. The hotel itself was charming, cozy, and beautifully decorated for the season, creating the perfect festive atmosphere. What truly made the experience exceptional was the service. Every member of the staff went above and beyond to make us feel welcome and cared for. Their warmth, attention to detail, and genuine hospitality made all the difference. We can’t wait to return. Thank you, Hotel Bernina, for making our holiday so special!

we chose this place solely because I had stayed here as a young teen. The room we had was lovely; the lobby seemed a little dated but may have appealed to an older crowd. (We were there to hike) The breakfast buffet was lovely.

Great place, the hotel with a very long tradition, very good location. Our room was very clean and big, there was a jacuzzi in the bathroom. It was very relaxing after hiking. Excellent customer service, as we asked for an antiallergic quilt and pillows. We liked a very nice hotel spa. Delicious breakfast, great service, juicer available. Highly recommended.

The room was spacious & there was free parking (on a first come first serve basis) The hotel seems to be mainly focused on guests from outside Switzerland, given that majority of staff did not speak the local language. Cleanliness of the rooms could be improved (multiple hairs in the shower, dead insects on the floor that were not removed for days etc.) Breakfast was subpar IMO with lack of options and versatility. Would probably not go back, but then again the pricing seemed competitive…

The splendour of yesteryear has faded. The hotel certainly had its heyday 100 years ago with its magnificent interior, sophisticated building and stunning architecture. Unfortunately, only small glimpses of the old luxury and splendour remain. The furnishings and rooms are crumbling and appear to have been thrown together without care, and are of poor quality. Rust and dirt are spreading. The lift is decaying and in need of restoration. Even the wallpaper inside the lift is coming off. The spa area only opens at 2:30 p.m. and closes at 8:00 p.m. Unfortunately, the staff are not particularly well trained and there was no warm and welcoming feeling of service and luxury. The paint is peeling, which is a shame, because this used to be a gem. The owner should urgently invest love and money in his property before it falls into complete oblivion.

Great greeting on arrival. Nice but simple breakfast in a beautiful dining room. Samedan is a lovely quiet spot but a 10inute train ride to St Moritz. Lovely town to walk around without the pretentious air of St Moritz. The hotel is true old European style. Loved it.
