A Culinary Masterclass: Five Days of Gastronomic Bliss||Over the past five days, Jaqueline and David have delivered nothing short of a culinary tour de force, a veritable feast for both the palate and the soul. From the very first bite to the last lingering flavor, their food has been a masterclass in precision, creativity, and passion. ||Every dish has been a triumph, showcasing an impeccable understanding of flavors, textures, and presentation. The balance between innovation and comfort was evident in every course, as they seamlessly combined bold, inventive ideas with the kind of warmth that makes a meal unforgettable. ||The ingredients—each carefully sourced and flawlessly prepared—stood as a testament to their commitment to quality. Whether it was a hearty main dish, a delicate starter, or a decadent dessert, the attention to detail was nothing short of extraordinary. The flavors were layered and complex, yet harmonious, leaving me in awe of their artistry. ||Their ability to craft meals that cater to a variety of tastes while maintaining such high standards of excellence is no small feat. It is clear that Jaqueline,David and the team cook not just with their hands but with their hearts, infusing each dish with love and soul. ||In a world where culinary mediocrity is all too common, Jaqueline and David remind us what food can and should be—an experience, a memory, and, ultimately, a joy. I can say with the utmost confidence that their creations over the last five days have set a new benchmark for excellence. ||Bravo, Jaqueline and David.

Perfectly located in the city center offering nice restauration and some great rooms. We especially liked the non-squared building, that winds around itself. Many nice public rooms for chats or business talks. Good value for the money in expensive Engadin.

Second stay, see my Aug 2016 review. All I said then still stands, except Sandra's no longer there, shame, but if anything the food is better, either that or my appreciation is affected by a less than satisfactory experience elsewhere last year.|Different room, same floor, basin no longer in bedroom, which is odd as the rooms on the fire escape map appear the same size. Two chairs this time, so perhaps the room was bigger. |Tripadvisor's headline photo of a somewhat luxurious chandeliered dining room is of the Hotel Bernina in Samedan, which I pointed out some years ago.|Rooms are being renovated, and from what I glimpsed through an open door, very nicely, to a high standard. Which is only what I'd expect from the standards set by the hotel. |I hope those staying in renovated rooms were paying more than us, but hope prices don't increase when the renovation is complete, which will make the hotel expensive, and is a contradiction, so I'll probably be disappointed.|I thought the dated effect was an affectation, but the carpet in our room was very badly faded to judge from the colour away from the window, but spotless and not at all worn, just the colour had been taken.

We enjoyed our stay at Hotel Bernina, conveniently located on the main street near shops and restaurants and a 1 minute walk from a Coop. All of the employees were friendly and efficient. The delicious breakfast offered a large selection of foods, including cook to order eggs. The owners went to a lot of time and effort pre-plating and plastic wrapping all of the foods offered, giving their guest extra peace of mind during these Covid times. Our room was the highlight of our stay! It was a huge, beautifully decorated corner room on the 4th floor ( U.S. 4th). It was immaculately clean and everything was in pristine condition. We had 2 Juliet balconies and mountain and town views from all of the windows. The updated and modern bathroom was very large and offered a lot of storage and shelf space. We would definitely choose to stay at Hotel Bernina again and would recommend it to others!

Nice comfortable hotel, very welcoming.||Only hiccup is the car park during busy season. ||We did not realise we had to pay, and the outside carpark is very busy.||We enjoyed a nice dinner and breakfast choice is good. ||Different breads to choose from, jams etc.||Was a bit concerned about an over zealous waiter who did not wear a mask while serving dinner and came rather close to us, I had to ask him to move away. ||Otherwise a great place to stay.

We have stayed here 4 times for a weeks holiday . Staff very helpful and friendly . Half board is a 5 course meal with choice of main course but they are very happy to change the menu if you don't like any courses . Food generally a good standard . The Engadine area comes with a free travel pass covering all local trains, buses, cable cars etc.so great access to the mountains . Buses connect to several cable cars from bus stop outside centrally placed hotel and the railway station is 10 minutes away . Scenery spectacular .

Firstly, the map location that Trip Advisor has the hotel is incorrect. It is right in the middle of town at Via Maistra 207, about a block from the Alpine Museum.|The hotel staff was very gracious and picked us up at the train station on our arrival. That kind of set the tone for the entire visit. They bent over backwards to assist us in planning our day in the area, bus schedules, restaurant reservation, etc...very helpful. Since we were staying 2 nights, they gave us cards that allowed free use of the bus, chairlift and cable car. They have their own restaurant which was VERY good.|The rooms are very clean and attractive (we had a great view of the mountains on the top floor). A small elevator services the floors. The WiFi was a bit weak, but useable. The tasty breakfast was a typical large alpine offering, a tad expensive, but there is no where else nearby to get anything (the COOP grocer is about 3 blocks away).|We really enjoyed this hotel and look forward to staying there again.

Nice old hotel. You can see the age in the bathrooms the fixtures are old but working and very clean as were the rooms. The rooms were updated and had flat screen TV and lots of outlets so you could change your phone or plug in a laptop on the desk. Our room balcony with a small table and 2 chairs. Breakfast, even during corina time had more then you could want. No hot dishes, but cooked eggs, fruits, cereals, homemade jellies and local hunny, because of corona the bread you ordered before. Coffee was self-service, which was nice you can go back for more.
