Hotel Besso Lugano

The place was great for the price! Even though it’s relatively affordable for the area, the rooms were really clean and neat and the service was really good as well. They did a great job of being friendly and offering any extra help I needed. The rooms are a bit older looking but everything in them functions just fine and still feels cozy.

I chose this hotel because of it location next to the central station, it was important! The personal is really friendly! Comfortable bed, hot water in a shower, what else do you need for a one night?!

Great place to stay as it isnt far from the the station. Roof top terrace was a great place to watch the new years eve fireworks.

Terrible hotel. No aircon in the summer heat. Guess because it is cheap. 90 CHF for a night. Have to top up 20 CHF to get the aircon remote. No fans in the room. No parking on site. Bed was uncomfortable. Water is extra 2 CHF. Lousy insulation, can hear the noise from the road outside. You wouldn't want to sleep in in this room.

Very good hotel, very well located (3min walk from the station), nice breakfast, someone is on reception all night so very safe. Very reasonably priced and lovely staff. Would use again. Thank you!

Large clean comfortable room and bathroom, the hotel furniture feels a little bit dated but this gives it a faded charm, the staff I dealt with were polite, friendly and helpful. The hotel is located approximately 10 - 15 minutes walk to the lake front (there is a funicular that takes a couple of minutes from the station to the centre). If arriving by train take the rear exit from the station and the hotel is a short walk away. A couple of tips - use the Ticino pass issued via the hotel as this gives free travel on public transport & make sure you have an adapter that fits Switzerland electric socks (also take an umbrella in Autumn as it rains a lot)

Decent Hotel in close proximity to the train station. The staff was friendly and the overall experience was ok. The whole building and the rooms are rather old. Rooms are clean and have AC but are otherwise nothing special. If you're looking for a budget option for a shorter stay this might just be your place. The location is good if you have to catch a train. If you're looking for a cozy hotel for a relaxing vacation this might not be up to the task.

I stayed in this hotel for a couple of nights. The hotel staff welcomed me very well. room was clean bathroom clean. I am satisfied with my stay. they gave me a pass to go all over Ticino on all types of transport for free. 100% ok
