Where to Stay in Barcelona When You Visit (Updated 2025)

"Ignore the generic name — this affordable, centrally located spot in Gràcia has slightly funky rooms with photographs on the walls and a minimalist design; the rooms are small but comfortable, a solid no-frills midrange choice." - Matthew Kepnes

The 7 Best Hotels in Barcelona (Updated 2025)

"In the quiet Gràcia neighborhood I stayed at a budget hotel with funky, unique rooms decorated with large photographs (many of famous city sights); the rooms are on the smaller side with limited natural light but are comfortable and affordable. Basic amenities include free Wi‑Fi, a small desk, and a flatscreen TV, and the bathrooms are well maintained with good water pressure. There’s no breakfast on-site, though lots of nearby cafés make that easy, so overall it’s a comfortable, no-frills spot perfect for budget travelers." - Matthew Kepnes

The staff were friendly; very clean room, the pillows were good and the bed was very big. Great central location closed to Sagrada familia and Park Guell, also easy walk from a metro stop. Price is reasonable.

Staying at Barcelona Bestprice Hotel in Gràcia was an absolute delight. From the moment I arrived, the staff made me feel genuinely welcome—friendly, professional, and always ready to help with local tips or restaurant recommendations. The location is unbeatable: nestled in the charming Gràcia neighborhood, you’re surrounded by cozy cafés, boutique shops, and vibrant plazas, all with a distinctly local vibe. It’s the perfect base for exploring both the authentic side of Barcelona and the major sights, with easy metro access just steps away. The room was spotless, modern, and surprisingly quiet given the central location. The bed was super comfortable, and I appreciated the thoughtful touches like the rain shower and fast Wi-Fi. Everything felt fresh and well-maintained. For the price, this hotel offers incredible value. Whether you’re visiting for business or leisure, Barcelona Bestprice Gràcia combines comfort, convenience, and character in one perfect package. I’ll definitely be coming back!

This hotel is in a great location 7 minutes walk from metro and surrounded by local restaurants and shops. The room was perfect, large comfortable bed and excellent shower. Nice staff. I’d recommend and would stay again.

The hotel staff were very friendly. Rooms are being cleaned daily and everything is really nice and clean. I had a single room. It was on a smaller side, but big windows, a portable air conditioning that worked quite fine. The neighbourhood is beautiful, quite calm, but still lively. There are many means of transport nearby, but if you plan on going to the city centre a lot (I had a course en La Rambla) it is not the most practicle place to be. Prices of coffee, sodas and snack are really, really affordable (coffee 1 eur, beer 2 etc.) and there is also some free drinks. Free wifi. I would recommend the hotel.

A great affordable hotel, it's about a 8 minute walk to metro station, but you are in the hilly area of Barcelona as the area is near Mirador la Rutlla and Park Guell. Rooms are small but comfy and clean. Would stay again.

The rooms and shower was good but they put me in a room next to checkin which i immediately complained about. My fear was that it would be too loud and for sure it was. First a bunch of kids that were in the hotel would knock on my door. Evidently this family was staying in the hotel for an extended stay. Why were they not in school. The 2 in the morning some guys came in the front and made a huge noise. I stayed in one of these hotels in Girona just before this one and they were fantastic. I don’t recommend this hotel when the manager would not take an action despite my complaints.

A very comfortable room, excellent bed, great location. This is a no-frills hotel, but it’s a terrific value. (Why go to Barcelona to stay in your hotel room all day?) Friendly staff and close to an exceptional restaurant.

I strongly advise against booking this hotel. I made a reservation and requested a king-size bed. The request was immediately denied — which was disappointing, but manageable. However, things got worse. Shortly after, I received a message that my credit card was marked as invalid by the hotel. I double-checked the card details — it’s the same card I always use for bookings, and everything was correct. I re-submitted the information, only to receive the same message again. After verifying the card once more, the hotel cancelled my reservation the next day, again claiming the card was invalid. I tried booking again, this time using a different card — the one I use daily for purchases. Yet again, I received a message saying the card was invalid. We haven’t even arrived at the hotel yet, and it’s already caused us significant inconvenience. I absolutely do not recommend booking here.
