Great hotel, great location. Gym at the top floor. Big breakfast buffet with gluten free options. And some vegetarian options. Cozy room, its equipmmt with what is needed. Located close to the metro and in walking distance to most places. Close to some good eating places.

A wonderful place to stay in Stockholm ❤️ A walking distance from everything. Friendly and helpful staff, comfortable room with a bathtub, great window view and delicious breakfast. A very cozy hotel.

Best hotel. I stayed in Stockholm with my family for 3 days for a wedding, and I didn’t find a single issue with this hotel. I also slept pretty well and woke up well too, 7am for breakfast isn’t an issue for me. Would recommend, and would definitely come back.||5 stars.

We had nice stay in this hotel. It is clean place (both room, bath and common area) and offering everything you may need for a Stockholm visit . Location is very good, metro is very close, but it is like 20-30 minutes walk to the city center. Even very clean , the bathroom was a bit ...well, lets say, a bit outdated . The breakfast was very good as well (even only swedish coffee was offered, but I like it , so no problem for me).|The only problem was that we have booked superior room with 2 separate beds and at check in we have been informed that our booked room is not available any more, so we agreed to take standard room with 2 separate beds. Staff was very friendly and tried to help, but we had to pay full price and check this with booking platform later (which we also did). All in all, very pleasent stay and nice staff. Thank you.

We took a family trip (five adults) to Stockholm in June and stayed at Birger Jarl. The hotel, especially the rooms, needs some renovation and improvement, as it is not up to the standard of a 4-star hotel. The breakfast experience was also not very good, in terms of the waiting time for a table and the replenishment of some products. The quality and variety of the breakfast were good for a 4-star hotel.

I stayed here with my husband and 1.5yo toddler for a business trip and we had a lovely time during our stay. We reserved a studio style room to ensure we had extra space for our little one with a cot provided, and given we were there for over a week. The room did not disappoint and was accurate as per their website, it was very spacious, very quiet, clean and in a convenient location. The buffet breakfast is also great with a nice variety of healthy options. We had no issues whatsoever and would definitely return here in future - thank you!

Google
The service was excellent, and I would like to give special mention to the hotel staff, who were always very friendly and helped us with early check-in and other matters during our stay there. I would especially like to thank Ebba for breakfast.

Google
An amazing hotel for a stay in stockholm! It is within 20 minutes to almost every tourist attraction/ferry sights, and only minutes from the bus stations and trains. Rooms are well equipped and have black-out curtains for summer days. Staff is so helpful and cheerful, and provide a feeling of safety and comfort at all times! Would definitely recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay in Sweden!

Yelp
No AC, though the window can be opened fairly wide to get air. Rooms are small, only slightly larger than the bed. Birger Jarl was our base of operations for my wife and I to explore Stockholm over three days. the location was convenient, about a 20 minute walk to the center of town and the water. It's in a quiet part of town which means the windows can be opened over night to cool down without much noise. The wifi was very fast and worked well. Service was exceptionally friendly and welcoming and even offered some suggestions for our stay at check in. The included breakfast was quite extensive with a variety of meat, cheese, spreads, and jams for sandwiches, cereals, and hot foods to really load up. We didn't need lunch most days as a result. Everything was quite modern and very clean. It was a great place to use to explore a beautiful city.

Yelp
The hotel Birger Jarl is a fairly central business hotel in Stockholm. It is walkable (15 min) from the central station if you do not have any luggage. Otherwise it is easy to access via the subway (green subway line, two stops, station Radmansgatan, from the central station) and then a few minutes walk. The hotel is outside the main tourist and business area but it is still close to most things. The area also has a number of interesting restaurants. The hotel does not look like anything special from the outside. The lobby is also uninspiring. The staff at the reception have on the other hand always been service minded and polite. Last time I stayed here I had booked a cheap Internet rate (around 800 SEK) and should have been put in one of the small standard rooms. I asked if they had the 'forgotten' room (or the 70s room as it is also known) available and luckily it was available and I got it without any extra charge. I really love this room but it is a bit special so it is not for everyone. The room in question (number 247) is at the end of a corridor (almost around a corner) and when the hotel was refurbished it was simply forgotten. They decided to keep it and just have it slightly 'freshened up'. The room is rather large (to be in Europe) and actually consists of two rooms. One is like a lounge with sofa, TV, 70s inspired entertainment center and also mini-bar. There is also a desk/work space. The bedroom also has a desk, TV, iron and safe, The bathroom is fairly recently renovated but they have kept the same style with green walls so it follows the same design. There is free wifi in the room as well as the lobby. The hotel breakfast was above average, not great but still great compared to what is normally offered at hotels in Sweden (compared to the chains like Scandic and Elite the breakfast here is world class but in an international perspective it is ok compared to what I would expect at at a 4-star hotel).

Yelp
Studio Suite is a must have! Especially if more than one guest! Has guest sofa bed, queen double, kitchenette and 1 &1/2 baths! Inside restaurant and if your stay is w/Breakfast.....it's amazing, with full oversized buffet breakfast items, fresh juices and juices shots! Room was quiet and staff very friendly! Hotel is very close popular hangouts, restaurants, bars, supermarket, gas, shopping and transportation.

Yelp
A great spot if you're working in the building next door. If you are, go up to the 6th floor and use the door that connects to that building. You might need a building pass to use that door, so ask your employer! It's not that great if you're there for more than a few days. Their pillows are kind of terrible, and in the winter the floors can be a bit chilly. Other than that, it's really not that bad. I hope to some day stay in the Forgotten Room. The hotel is fairly central, and there's not a lot of street noise to be heard. There's a gym on the 7th floor, and the breakfast is half-decent. Overall, it's not too shabby. There are better options, but if you like the option of being able to go to work without going outside, this is solid.

Yelp
Great hospitality. Excellent service. Rooms are clean and comfortable. Hotel part of convention center (but doesn't feel like it!) so there are lockers and a great bar (and restaurant). Bartender has been friendly and helpful. (Makes a great aperol spritz even when out of oranges. He used grapefruit instead. Delicious)

Yelp
It's difficult to rate this hotel. On one hand it's got an excellent breakfast. I mean, really really good. They even have a fresh waffle making machine! It's in a great location, very close to the centre of town and a short walk from pretty much everything. And on the other hand, the rooms are pretty small and not very nicely decorated, and considering the price, not very good value. It's also pretty annoying that room service came to clean my room at 8am, before I was ready to leave my room! I also didn't sleep very well in the bed. So... 5 stars for the breakfast. 2 stars for the rooms. Tough, but it's no good having an amazing breakfast if I haven't had an amazing sleep, so 3 stars overall.

Yelp
Great hotel! Fantastic breakfast, nice spacious rooms and a very good location. The hotel is located in the posh area of Stockholm and there's great design shops and restaurants in the area. Hotel personal is super friendly and the rooms are super clean.

Yelp
4.5 stars, here's the breakdown: Hotel staff are very nice and helpful. The facility bus clean and easy to find, close walk to most things. I posted a review a bit prematurely and the management got back to me right away. I came back to my room and there was a fruit basket, chocolate and lovely note saying sorry for not meeting my expectations! Wow, never had that happen. 5 stars for staff! Rooms unfortunately are more less 3 stars. The bed was very comfortable but the room itself is quite small and the decor isn't the best. The shower was by far the worst part. It is a glass door and the entire restroom is the drain system. Not my favorite shower experience but definitely not the worst. Breakfast is, as everyone says, amazing! Beautiful spread with something for everyone. It is probably the best breakfast spread I've seen anywhere in Europe so far. Food is very fresh and tasty. Room service was decent the Continental breakfast was good but beat to go downstairs and get the full range of their selection. One last tidbit, we had to cut our trip short and even though it was a non refundable situation they let us check out two days early no charge!! Who does that! That alone gives 5 stars as my husband and I have been screwed out of a lot of money for similar situations. Thank you BirgerJarl!!

Yelp
Admittedly, we got started off on the wrong foot with our reservation. At first, everything was fine, but then we wanted to add my girlfriend's name to the reservation for her visa. This turned out to be a task that the staff at this hotel could not provide. At first, they put our names in the wrong order. Then, I noticed they misspelled both of our names. 4 days later, after multiple emails, they fixed this problem, but then they put our names in a crazy order again. And again. It seems like they have some major problems with their staff/service. It's just not worth the price in my opinion given the small, ugly rooms.
