Hotel Birger Jarl

An amazing hotel for a stay in stockholm! It is within 20 minutes to almost every tourist attraction/ferry sights, and only minutes from the bus stations and trains. Rooms are well equipped and have black-out curtains for summer days. Staff is so helpful and cheerful, and provide a feeling of safety and comfort at all times! Would definitely recommend this hotel for a pleasant stay in Sweden!

I am very satisfied with the facilities of this hotel💯.There is a restaurant with charging parking spaces. The ingredients of the restaurant for dinner are delicious and the service staff are kind and friendly! There are also many food 🥘 items served during the day, and the service staff will always pay attention to whether there are any finished plates on the table!

There is NO OTHER HOTEL to stay at other than the Birger Jarl in Stockholm - Over the course of six months I had the absolute pleasure of staying here and truly it was a home away from home. Each and every time I was made to feel not only welcome but as a valued customer - from reception (big shout out to Emma) to the bar staff; all amazing people. Stayed in studios and the suite’s; and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere where else - rooms are so clean; English TV channels and very quiet. Also had dinner many times in the restaurant which I highly recommend along with the amazing breakfast - why stay anywhere else? Book now!

This hotel has a charming lobby, especially the entrance. The restaurant offers limited menus, but they’re still good and enjoyable. The staff is friendly, and the cleaning staff did a great job. However, the Wi-Fi is slow, so if you plan to work from here, you might want to consider another option. What really bothers me the most is that this hotel is categorized as a 4-star, but the interior doesn’t reflect that well. I understand that the rooms can be small, but the details are terrible. We made a reservation a month in advance, but they couldn’t locate our booking despite paying in full. Thankfully, there was a room available, so they were able to send us to our room. However, it was much further than what they had advertised. Location wise- it’s very convenient and close to Main Street.

I have been to Stockholm many times, but this was my first time staying at the Birger Jarl. I must say I had a very positive experience! The hotel is located in a nice and very quiet neighborhood, with the nearest Tunnelbana station or bus stops allowing you to be in the heart of the city in less than 15 minutes. The room and bed were very good (only a slight issue with the toilet...), and the biggest highlight was definitely the breakfast! (Delicious, fresh food - both sweet and savory - every morning. I miss it already! ;) )

The hotel has good location close to metro and not from central station. The rooms are clean with comfortable beds. The breakfast has good variety of food. Staff is friendly. Bar is nice.

Hotel is situated not too far from city center, 1 km away, but it is in very quite place. Reception was friendly and welcoming you. Breakfast was perfect including options for vegans and vegetarions.

For the price, too many things that aren’t ok. Tiny and worn out bathroom, smelly wash basin, outdated furniture and decor, horrible “trompe l’oeuil wood” carpet, and when I went down to the lounge area to get coffee, I was told to buy it in the bar! Well situated. But my colleagues and I will look elsewhere for lodging next time around.
