A mistake was made somewhere in reservation. I do not believe I made this mistake. I requested a room for 5th June, but was given 5th July. I sent multiple emails and made calls to find more detail, but Mr Rashid - the Moroccan managing this place - refused to refund or help in any way. A lot of the reviews also look V strange.

I had a nice stay in this hotel in Basel. Room was fine, clean and bed comfortable. Bathroom really small, but everything needed is there. Personnel kind and environment calm, not far to the main tram lines. Good ratio quality/price. I will come back again.

There are some bad reviews, so I was a bit hesitant. But the rooms were totaly ok, clean and quiet. The breakfast was really nice and the location is good.

A great place to stay in Basel. Location is perfect, easy walking distance to zoo, Basel Sbb amd mamy ttam stations nearby. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful. Room is spacious, very clean and comfortable. It is also relatively quiet. A great place to stay in Basel.

The experience was what sets the hotel apart and reason for the 5 stars. From the time I check-in to check out, the feeling was very welcoming and friendly. Having arrived at the hotel at about noon, I wasn’t optimistic about getting into the room seeing that the official check-in time in later in the afternoon. But the staff took the initiative to check and informed me that my room is ready and I could check-in. Then I was presented with the Basel travel card, and he explained how it could be used. |The room is very basic and small but didn’t feel squeeze, largely due to the very sensible layout with bed on one side and toilet on the other. What I really like was the clean white sheets and fluffy blanket that smells like fresh laundry. The pillow was a little flat though. The room provides a small bottle of drinking water. WiFi works very well and no need to keep logging in. The TV channels are mostly in german including those that are screening movies. That’s the not so good part. What I do like is the breakfast which can be enjoyed outdoors in the garden. I asked for fried eggs and the staff or owner was happy to oblige. Location wise, it is a very short walk to the town centre.

Not suitable for business travelers. The owner threatened one of our members on checkout trying to bully him into paying 500 CHF for 7 beers from a fridge. The only way to get a drink in this hotel is in their lobby in a fridge without published prices. This is by far the worse experience our team ever has had. And we can only warn others.. Removed other stars because incident is unacceptable and other should not have to face this. We had some kind remarks for the other people working there but that does not matter in this case.

I was a solo traveller on a leisure holiday. However the staff and owners were so warm and welcoming ; that it made me comfortable instantly. The rooms are clean , simple and cozy. Hot water , clean fluffy sheets and great WiFi are an added bonus . They have taken care to provide even the smallest of||Comforts like usb cable slots. The breakfast is scrumptious and the best part is that you can sit outdoors in the garden and enjoy your meal. Barely a 2 min walk to the city center ensures you peace and silence as well as access to the city, rivers etc. the owners provided me with a travel card and I didn’t have to go anywhere else to sort my travel. ||I will recommend this place to each and everyone. They have found a permanent customer in Me.
