Stayed 1-4Mar 24. Easy check in staff was fast and quick. From airport to Bishops Arms was 475kr. Room was big and I liked the size of the space. Refer to images of its surroundings and also the views of premise. Didn't visit the pub as we wanted to stay away from Scandi food for a little 😅 Overall we liked it and no complaints. All was good and pleasant.

One of the few remaining places to eat and drink in the old city center. The rooms are okay and the breakfast is good, but it is probably my favorite place for well made food and a couple of beers. Great staff!

This hotel is located in "Old Kiruna," a district slowly falling into the mineshaft below. Most of the population has already been moved to New Kiruna, so the Bishops Arms hotel is a desolate business in a desolate location. When we checked in, the front desk was officially closed, but a young woman heard us outside the locked office door and came to help. She said she was in charge of the entire building, providing all services herself. We decided not to stay, for reasons already stated. Because she had already checked us in for a two-night stay, she said she could only release us from the second night. But once she realized that we had not booked directly, she changed her mind and told us we could not have any of our money back. We still didn't stay. The place is terrible.

I arrived early in the morning on the night train from Stockholm to see if I could drop my luggage. I was really surprised to find they let me check in 5 hours early at 10am which is just what I needed as I was unwell and just spent 16 hours sat on a train. The room was better than I expected, booked a single I received a double, it had everything I needed and a fridge. Dinner was nothing short of amazing the service was great. The food was spectacular, the burger was the best I have had in Sweden! Breakfast was pretty standard for Scandinavia, buffet style meats and cheeses with hot eggs, sausage and Danish bacon. The room rate was really good for the area. Overall I would recommend the warm and welcoming hotel to anyone although they are closing in 2023 to relocate to a much larger site up the road. It should be mentioned that most shops and restaurants in the area have already closed down in preparation for the whole towns relocation for geological reasons.

We stayed at the hotel for three nights and had dinner at the pub as well. The room was nice and we enjoyed the complimentary breakfast each morning. Dinner was delicious and they make a great whiskey sour. Reservations for dinner are recommended since they get pretty busy at night.

Don't turn up before 3pm. This is a medicore hotel, which likely has seen better days. It does appear to have lots of potential, but is being run on a shoestring budget, considering the expensive nightly stay prices. The rooms are average at best, beds are creaky, windows are small, radiators don't work, and heating can't be controlled. The bathroom has a poor design, with no easy storage other than behind the toilet, very annoyingly this is where the fresh towels were hung. The shower was good, and likely highlight of the room. Breakfast is basic, it is a breakfast buffet, but few items are fresh, and/or warm. Evening meal is available in the pub area, but do make a reservation. The REAL ISSUE with this hotel, which why you should avoid it, is its lack of staff, especially between the hours of 10am and 3pm, when there is no one around at all, apart from cleaners who can't help. In essence this hotel has no front desk, and no manned reception. If you arrive before 3pm you can't get into the building, you will be stuck sitting on the floor in a tiny porch area until 3pm comes. No one will come and help. You can't leave your bags with anyone pre check-in.  Similarly when checking out, they will only hold your bags if you don't need to collect them between 10am and 3pm.

Hotel is located in the “old town” of Kiruna where the Swedish government has been slowly demolishing / dismantling/ moving buildings due to expanding of its mining operations (this is the largest Iron Ore mine in the world) in this old town. Many stores are closed for good and have relocated to the newly built city center which is approximately 4kms to the east (closer to the airport). Other than the ghostly location of the hotel, the amenities and rooms are still good and spacious. You have a view of the iron ore mines and the complimentary breakfast they offer is still decent. Take note, there’s also no staff around up to until 3pm which is your check in time so good luck trying to get it the hotel on a cold winter day as the main entrance is closed and only accessible to those that already have room key cards. There’s a nice pub bar restaurant downstairs with good selection of spirits. Less than a handful of restaurants are also open in the area of this old town.

Had a blast here! Lovely locals, really nice staff both at hotel and pub, cozy room and good breakfast. Would come again - but they are tearing it down as Kiruna is moving because of the mine expanding and destabilising the ground… Hope the new pub in new Kiruna becomes as good!

Yelp
It is basically and bar so it opens around 4pm in weekdays. The environment is really pleasant, relaxed and casual. You have to order at the bar first then be seated and wait for food. I ordered Arctic Char with potato shrimp mash and some vegetables. The mash is nice and smooth, with plenty of shrimps so you can get mouthful of shrimps and potato in every bite!! The vegetables are great, crispy and fresh. The fish is a bit under seasoned but it tastes much better just by adding a bit salt. For drinks, cuz I didn't want to drink too much alcohol, the lady suggested me an American style wheat ale with just 0.3% alcohol, called "Mikkeller". It has a sweet scent, nice wheaty taste with a little bitterness, perfect for weak drinker like me:D Overall the food is great, staffs are nice and easy going, would recommend dining or having a drink here!!

Yelp
Good food, great beer selection. Order food and drinks at bar and they bring to your table. Fast service. Fun place with a lot of locals :) Make reservation on Friday and Saturday nights so you make sure to get a seat. They have free wifi.

Yelp
This place belongs to the Elite Hotels of Sweden chain, therefore quality and good services can be expected. Front desk -- there is no front desk per se, you check in and check out in the Bishops Arms pub, and only during the hours that the pub is open. I didn't find this arrangement inconvenient or troublesome, nevertheless wished I'd been informed about it when I made the reservation so we could plan better. The rooms are of good size and stylishly appointed with modern creature comforts. Overall, we enjoyed our stay.

Yelp
The place to be. Best restaurant in Kiruna. Their rib eye is hands down the best in town. Excellent beer and whiskey selection. The chuck Burger is great. The straff is awesome.

Yelp
I like the atmosphere of this place! It was very laid back and chill. The room to the side had a library kind of feel (cases and cases of books all over the wall) but people were drinking (drinking in a library? *gasp!*). Seems like people were just sitting and drinking and talking and laughing. What a fun place! Even though I don't personally drink very much myself, I still found the place to be fun! I had a sip of everyone's beer and it was tasty. Each has a different flavor and texture. Another friend got the pear cider and it was VERY yummy!...very fresh and crisp! Yum! We also got some food (ribs, fish and chips, soup, chicken, and burger) and I remember it being tasty as well. I recommend this place when you're in Kiruna! Fun and yummy place.
