Hotel Bishops Arms

I was happy when I found the Old English style of the hotel when booked, but soon lost the good feeling. Upon entering a strong smell of sewerage (in hall not room), and the room was average and cramped. I went downstairs and had an average dinner that I had to pay for in advance. The best part of the facility is the great beer selection with a nice English atmosphere. Good choice for a beer next to the train station.

I looked for a pub that should look like a pub, not a plush restaurant level or a gaming/TV area with many screens and loud music that makes it impossible to talk with friends. This one did not dissappoint me. I liked the decor and the peace. I also wanted to try local beers because that's what I do when I go to a new place. The staff is friendly and they helped me choose a pilsner and a stout. Fish and chips were tasty as well. I spent nice time here.

I rate it 5 stars. Not because everything is perfect on an absolute scale, but for a 3 stars english pub hotel in a charming city it offers a great stay with very good value for the money. Location is top. Right next to the cathedral constructed by the Danish king Christian the 4th. Good and clean room with a nice bed. Slept very well. Breakfast was fine. Dinner was really great in the pub and so were the bears. Felt totally in the UK here. It is an old hotel a bit worn out but it only adds to the charm. We will be back.

I might be biased because I have many friends working there but from my experience around Kristianstad this one always leaves me satisfied. The food is my type, I like the atmosphere, I have fun there. Never been in the hotel so I'm only talking about the pub here.

Made a booking with this “hotel” through booking.com, which has this hotel listed in 2+ ways as a pet friendly hotel. Bishop’s Arms Kristianstad called me up 4 hours prior to check-in, saying Bishop’s Arms Kristianstad doesn’t allow pets. Me asking the “hotel” if the can ask booking.com to remove their “hotel” as being pet friendly, the “hotel” repeated three times that cancellations are done via bookings.com and the “hotel” representative hung up without saying good bye.

I have been told that pubs in England often have rooms on top and that is what is is. The fact that we could check in only at 4 pm because the hotel is closed, was strange but they did allow us to leave the luggage so it was ok. Staff was very nice. The hotel is across the train station and easy to find. The room was huge with a balcony and an extra room with sofa and second television. . Is is rather old and n the need of some up keep but still nice enough. Breakfast was very nice with many things to choose from.

This is a combined Hotel and pub/restaurant mm part of a chain of similar establishments operating under the same name. I visited the pub only, to enjoy a pint at the end of a long warm Friday evening. The outdoor seating area was full, so I had to sit inside. The interior was quite dark and felt somewhat worn down - an impression reinforced by a pervasive smell of stale beer and cooking oil. The beer was however cold and nice, and the staff reasonably friendly, if not particularly interested in their customers. Probably won't come back again, as there are plenty of other watering holes in Kristianstad.

Good place for the beer lover. They offer over 100 different kinds och beer and whiskey. The food is great specially the burger a perfect place for the elder crowd or if u just looking to grab a bite with some friends
