Bishop's House, a Design Boutique Hotel Prague, Czech Republic

"Renovated in 2015, Bishop's House is a design hotel in the heart of the historical centre of Prague, only 60 metres from Charles Bridge and the Vltava river and a 10-minute walk from Prague Castle. It offers free WiFi in the entire hotel. The main hotel building dates back to the 16th century and has an empire façade from 1843. Guests can also choose accommodation in a Gothic tower which was a former official seat of the bishop, first mentioned in the 13th century. All rooms are air-conditioned. The top-floor tower rooms feature beautiful ceilings, reminiscent of the long history of the house. A limited number of parking places is available directly in front of the Bishop’s House. A wide range of restaurants, bars, and shops is nearby." - My Boutique Hotel (en)

Stayed two nights at Hotel Bishop’s House in Prague, and it was one of the best hotel experiences I’ve had. From the moment we arrived, the service and warmth stood out. Helena deserves a special mention, she welcomed us with genuine kindness, gave thoughtful recommendations, and treated every guest with the same care. She truly killed it with kindness. The rooms were spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with a huge king bed, great pillows, and AC that worked perfectly (rare in Europe). Housekeeping kept everything to the highest standard, and small touches like an espresso machine and quality toiletries made the stay even better. The location couldn’t be more perfect, literally steps from Charles Bridge, Old Town across the river, and all of Prague within easy walking distance. The hotel arranged our airport transfer seamlessly, and breakfast each morning was excellent. What made the stay special, beyond the comfort and location, was the feeling of warmth, from the hotel and from the Czech people in general. We felt genuinely welcomed everywhere, which made our short stay unforgettable. FYI: • AC individually controlled and reliable. • Breakfast included and very good. • Airport transfer arranged smoothly. • Perfect location for exploring Prague on foot. Highly recommend! Next time in Prague, I wouldn’t stay anywhere else

Fantastic location. About 45 seconds to the Charles Bridge. Hospitality was fantastic. Front desk staff were always helpful. Breakfast was fresh, plentiful and tasty. Great room with a modern ensuite. Walk under the bridge to find a peaceful park with very few people around.

This place is nice enough, but there's no bells and whistles. Like many things in Prague, it felt very expensive for what you actually received. Nice rooms, clean and well appointed but it just felt a little soulless.|Breakfast was fine, a pretty good selection and there wasn't that stressful chaos you sometimes get in hotels. |Location was fantastic though, on a dead end cobbled street a stone's throw from the bridge. Perfect location for decent food and bars, but without the hustle and bustle of the main strip. I would consider staying again, but would appreciate a little more enthusiasm from the staff at the check in desk.

Fantastic hotel! The hotel is located in an old Bishop's house, which adds charm and uniqueness to your stay. Beautiful architecture. Rooms are spacious and clean. The staff is super nice and accommodating. Breakfast is also really good. The location is amazing! I highly recommend this place.

Nice quaint hotel located a stones throw from Charles Bridge. Been to Prague on many occasions and never disappoints. Hotels staff are very friendly and helpful. Be careful of the hotels cancellation policy - we had one colleague who couldn't travel so emailed to update the hotel. Hotel is stating it needs 72hours notice and we gave only 36hours notice and charged for 2 days accommodation. Some booking sites still list this hotel as only needing 24hrs.

We got a booking for this hotel last minute and it was in the perfect spot! It’s right next to the Charles bridge. The staff at the reception were all very friendly and helpful and gave us recommendations when we needed it. The room was spacious, airconditioned and clean. The breakfast was basic but still included a good amount of options and is included in your booking. I would have liked if there were more food options after breakfast, maybe some small bites or so.

We spent two nights at Hotel Bishop’s House in Prague, and it was the kind of stay you never want to end. Everything about this hotel delivered: the service, the rooms, the location, and above all the sense of kindness and care.||A special mention goes to Helena, who was unforgettable. She welcomed us with warmth, kindness, and an energy that made every guest feel special. I noticed she treated everyone with the same attention and generosity, always ready with recommendations or simply a smile. To put it simply, she killed it with kindness, and that kind of human touch makes all the difference.||The rooms were a highlight. Spacious, spotless, and extremely comfortable, with a huge king bed, excellent pillows, and housekeeping that maintained everything to the highest standard. The air conditioning worked perfectly and was individually controlled (a rare find in Europe), and the windows could also be opened for fresh air. An espresso machine and tea setup were provided, which made mornings easy. Even the small touches impressed me, from high-quality toiletries to thoughtful extras like shoe brushes after a rainy day.||Breakfast was excellent, with plenty of variety and a calm, cozy setting to start the day. Everything was managed with ease: no complicated switches, no self-service check-in kiosks, no overdone “concept” gimmicks, just straightforward hospitality, beautifully delivered.||The location is unbeatable. The hotel is literally steps from Charles Bridge, with Old Town just across the river. You can walk everywhere, cafés, restaurants, and all of Prague’s main sights are within easy reach. We only used the tram once (which is steps from the hotel), to go up to the Castle, but even that could have been a walk. Staying here truly put us at the heart of the city.||And beyond the hotel, the city itself added to the experience. The warmth of the Czech people left a lasting impression on us. Everywhere we went, we felt welcomed, comfortable, and cared for. Combined with the hotel’s hospitality, this made our short stay feel truly special.||FYI:|• AC is individually controlled and works perfectly.|• Boutique style hotel with all the amenities you need.|• Breakfast included and excellent.|• Airport transfer arranged smoothly by the hotel.||Prague is a magnificent city, and Hotel Bishop’s House reflects that spirit perfectly. This is hospitality done right: warm, attentive, and effortless. We wished we had stayed longer, and when I return to Prague, there’s no question, I’ll stay here again.

We stayed at Bishop's House for several days in July 2025 and it was an absolutely terrific experience. The location right near the Charles Bridge was extremely convenient and yet it was very quiet at the hotel despite being steps away from one of the city's most beautiful (and busy) attractions. We had a "double room deluxe" and it was super spacious -- we were surprised at how roomy it was compared to our other experiences with European hotels. The staff was very helpful and the breakfast was abundant and delicious -- nothing better than some Prosecco to get your day going!
