Charming place perfect for serving as a base when visiting the Westfjords. Staff is very helpful, rooms are clean and compact, breakfast selection not too big but it has everything you need. The walls are indeed pretty thin so the soundproofing is not the best, but overall it’s a very good quality for money ratio

Its a nice&clean place, good value, but paper thin walls. You cant have a proper rest.

The hotel is situated in the beautiful landscape. Unfortunately you can hear everything from your room neighbors and the hallway (including vibrations) the breakfast is very simple (1x meat, 1x cheese, some eggs, oranges which taste like onion because the knife was used twice, some cereals). All in all not recommended.

We stopped for a quick lunch and it was a lovely surprise. The staff was friendly, especially the young lady with glasses. The dining area was cozy and pretty. The prices were acceptable. We had waffle+soup (2180kr) and a hot dog (480kr). The tomato soup was very tasty and the Icelandic hot dog was good. However the waffle was average. The butter for bread was too cold and not spreadable at all. The tables are not clean as there were some food crumbs.

Extremely friendly and helpful staff!!! We stranded there twice and they provided us with food even though the kitchen was closed one time and were so helpful and welcoming. The rooms are nice and clean and the dinning/living area reminds of an old Agatha Christie movie. A perfect place to stop and stay before or after hitting the Fjords.

Charming hotel which is one of the oldest in Iceland. Unfortunately, it shows - the soundproofing is poor. The common area is beautiful though and the food was great. They have a cafe and a small shop on site as well as a petrol station.

Been to a lot of camping sites all over Iceland, so I can compare. Very basic camping site, no cooking facilities, hot shower available but not included in camping fee - you will find better offers for the same price in this area of Iceland.

Very nice staff, but no longer has a campsite.
