Very well located hotel just off the main shopping street. Our rooms were relatively compact but very comfortable and warm. The bathrooms were really good with high pressure showers. The owner/manager was very friendly and helpful and we loved the intimate boutique hotel experience. Parking is available in a a public parking garage just opposite which is really convenient. Despite the central location, the rooms were really quiet at night. I would definitely stay here again.

Everything about this quiet boutique hotel was delightful. The neighborhood is quiet and lovely, but very close to lively areas of shops, pubs and restaurants. The staff is kind and helpful, the room was spotless and efficient and the complimentary breakfast was robust and totally enjoyable. We hope to re-visit Bruges in the future and will definitely stay at Hotel Blabla. We have already recommended it to other travelers considering a visit to Bruges.

Good place to stay to explore old town. Our room had some mould in the bathroom but nothing too bad that we were put off as it was only the bathroom and the place is a little older. Comfy room and bed and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. Good in house breakfast. Fair prices.

This isn’t a bad hotel but we were cursed with bad luck. Unfortunately, the toilet backed-up and we had to contact the on-call front-desk worker to come and assist us at 10:00 at night. He responded positively and by morning the problem was resolved. On our last day were kicking back in the late afternoon to escape the heat when the plug-in fan shorted-out knocking out the power to the room. Again, the front desk worker responded quickly and restored our power. Sadly, we don’t think a replacement fan will be found so it’ll probably be a warm night. On the plus side, the breakfast choices are good and staff do a good job in freshening up the room. The location is great, positioned between to very good restaurants and a 10 minute walk to the main square, with access to museums, churches, excellent chocolate shops and the canals.

we stayed there for one night and it was a great experience. the room was comfortable and clean and the location of the place is really close to the center. you stay at an old brugge house which makes the experience even more great. for the breakfast, there was enough option to have decent meal at the start of the day. we loved the place and brugge very much!

A small hotel (14 rooms) in a quiet street but within a very short walk to centre and places of interest. Our room was small but perfectly adequate - clean, beds comfortable, showers hot and hairdryer provided. Continental style breakfast plentiful and fresh. Very friendly owners. Stairs up two floors to our twin room number 6 were steep and narrow - we managed ok but could challenge anyone with mobility issues (no lift). Believe there is some ground floor accommodation (room 10?). Pretty little courtyard garden, ideal spot to enjoy a sandwich from Carrefour just around the corner. Reading and guide books available to borrow. Good value. Would definitely return.

This hotel is ok. Positives: good location, clean. Cons: so much noise from the corridor outside the room with people walking up and down the stairs, the pillows were terrible, the room was very warm. Overall not a bad stay but expensive for the quality.

We stayed over a weekend visit to Bruges for the Christmas market. This hotel is in a small side street a few hundred metres from the market. There are three or four restaurants there too. |It's in an old town house, the former Horel Imperiale, and it's mews. The building has been nicely updated. It's warm, comfortable and very clean. The staff are lovely, impressively polyglot, and very helpful.|Food is a buffet breakfast, with a really cute and functional egg boiler. The toaster works, a fact sufficiently unusual to be noteworthy. The reception is not manned 24 hours, but the door has a code lock, so you can leave luggage.|Highly recommended.

Yelp
Really enjoyed our stay at this hotel in Bruges. It feels like a bed and breakfast but their our 14 plus rooms spread between two buildings. Each room varies depending on location and size and number of beds requested. We had room 7 which was on the top floor of the main building and it was nice and as described - a triple with a double and one single. The room was comfortable and had some nice space to store store luggage and other things. The bathroom was nice with great shower pressure and plenty of hot water and a full closing door (unique for some European countries). Note 1: the staircases are narrow and winding so could be difficult for some with mobility or elderly - so would suggest you confer your room location with the host before you book. Note2: There was no refrigerator in room in case you need one you might be able to arrange. Note 3: Breakfast was just "okay" with cereal, sliced meats and cheese and fresh warm croissants. The only protein were hard boiled eggs. The hosts/workers were friendly and helpful. Internet WiFi was free and worked well

Yelp
Stayed here for one night. Great location, friendly staff, nicely apportioned rooms albeit a bit on the smaller side. The only negative was the very steep and irregular staircase which just be navigated to get to your room, which is a bit if a hazard.

Yelp
We had a great stay at Hotel Bla Bla during a weekend trip to Belgium, and would absolutely stay again if we get the chance to go back to Bruges. The location is fantastic, right in the old town and an easy walk down to the Market Square and the canal area. The hotel itself doesn't have parking, but there seemed to be a public parking garage right across the street (Dweersstraat). We parked in the huge public parking lot at Het Zand (Interparking 't Zand), which was less than a 5 minute walk, not too expensive, and easy to get in and out of from the R30. Like Emily T. mentioned, the hotel desk is not manned 24/7, so if you are arriving really early or really late, you'll definitely need to let them know. We got in late afternoon, and checkin was quick and friendly. They actually have two separate sets of rooms; some in the main part above the front desk and breakfast area, and some in a small outbuilding in the back. To get to those rooms you enter the main door, then walk out into the courtyard in the back, then into the outbuilding. We ended up with a room in that outbuilding, and it was charmingly fantastic. The courtyard is lovely, and while it rained for us, there were cafe tables and chairs so you could sit outside on a nice day. The room was pretty typical in size for a European hotel, but the bathroom was quite large actually. The entire place was really nicely appointed and cared for, and (most importantly) the mattress was fantastic. Breakfast wasn't included in our room rate so we didn't try it, but it looked like an average continual breakfast: muesli, yogurt, breads, cheeses, and cured meats. Overall a charming little hotel, and it would definitely be our first choice for another stay in Bruges.

Yelp
It felt like we bunked with the people (or were they elephants?) staying in the room above us. We could hear every little sound and every little movement as if it was happening in our room and not a floor above us. It's not like we could just hear them walk around, but we could hear every single word of conversations. Unfortunately, this also means we could hear their bed springs squeaking at night and their pillow talk when they were, you know... I've never slept as poorly as I did the two nights we had to stay at Hotel Bla Bla, since there is absolutely no soundproofing and the walls vibrate with every noise. I get that it's a very old building (and it is a cute exterior), but thrown down some carpet or something to help with that. The front desk was not manned 24/7, which means that when we showed up at the time that we had said we would, the front desk person was at lunch and the doors were locked. We had to stand outside and wait until they returned. Not a big issue, but kind of a hassle. The rooms were clean, but there was barely room to set our backpacks down. I'm not sure how this would work if someone traveled with larger luggage. Lastly, I know this is probably a weird complaint, but it grossed me out that they stored the toilet paper rolls on the toilet brush stick. I'd suggest investing in something else because it's pretty icky to have clean toilet paper touching such a dirty cleaning brush. Aside from an excellent location, I struggle to think of anything positive that would make me recommend this place.

Yelp
After reading Emily T's review, I couldn't believe she and I stayed in the same place. My two adult daughters and I recently spent two nights at Bla Bla, and we couldn't have enjoyed it more. I attribute our positive experience largely to our innkeeper, David, who went out of his way to make us feel welcome and comfortable. From carrying our heavy luggage up the narrow, winding stairs (there's no elevator), to recommending his favorite restaurants and chocolate store (the BEST chocolates I've ever tasted, BTW), to google-mapping the location of our next hotel in Brussels so we'd get off the train at the right station, he couldn't have been more helpful. Our room was immaculate, the beds comfortable, and the bathroom, while typically European-small, had a truly wonderful shower (so welcome after a long day pounding the cobblestones). We also found Bla Bla ideally located: although Dweersstraat is only about a 5-minute walk away from the central square, it's a quiet street. True, the front desk closes at night (so David can be home with his family, I imagine), but guests are given a code for the keypad outside the front door so they can come and go as they please. Noise from overhead neighbors wasn't an issue for us, since we were on the top floor; but we didn't hear anything from the people in the rooms next to us. Perhaps whatever problem there was in 2014 has been resolved; regardless, I don't think one can expect Hilton-type soundproofing when staying in an old building in a medieval city. I travel to expand my perspective, to experience ways of living that aren't my own. Sometimes unusual noise is part of that experience. (In fact, students celebrating their upcoming high-school graduation were singing and hooting through the streets all through our first night in Bruges. It was kinda fun to listen and remember what it was like to be 18 ;-) But that's not important. What is is that Bla Bla gave us a great first impression of Belgian hospitality, which played a big part in making our time in Bruges lovely and memorable.
