Hotel Boa-Vista

A downplayed four star hotel. it is a shame it has good location nice view and a good bus conection very clean rooms and a place you can come to rest. so why the three stars you ask? well there are a few. 1. first it strength is it weakness. it is quiet but there is almost no place the have party or having some nightly activities. this area is not as toeristic as the center of port so the only fun you will have is a restaurant visit and a few bars but again if rest you are seeking then it is a very good place. 2.food and drinks there is only basic breakfast (you know it, eggs bakon sausage...) no dinner or supper or a full pension (all in) option there is a bar on the top floor that serve some snacks or drinks but limited, pricing is decent not cheap not expensive but still had hoped for some more options the main reason for this is very nobel becaus they SUPPORT their local economy and don't want to compete with them so i give them that. 3. rooms that aren't ready before 15:00u (3:00 pm) even if you message them a weak beforehand they simply say that check only starts at 15:00u so if you have an early flight .... what ive got ..... and arrive at 11:00u you stil could not enter your room. they have a bagage vault so at least you can drop of your stuff and walk around the neigborhood till you finally can drop on your bed. 4. a minor thing to say but the personal is friendly but straightforward do not expect that they are overfriendly they don't drag conversations, only a simpel the fact a smile a simple hello. if you like this then it is great but if you are not used to this i can imagine that this could be a little bit offputting conclusion if you love a quit holiday with not to much incentives to come to rest and have basic good al R&R then you are at the good adres if you are outgoing if you have teens if you want some action or fun things to do... then i would consider seaking up a place more to the center of Porto overall i had a great place for a good value did't had bad expierence. But it was a bland expierence is it good thing or a bad thing? it all depends of the eye of the beholder.

Good location, an easy walk to the beach and close to restaurants. Rooftop pool and deck - we had to pay €1 for a pool towel, which seems petty. ||Rooms are small. Service at front desk is not friendly or helpful. Even though check in was at 3:00 room wasn’t available until 4:30. Breakfast is decent.

Beautiful location with viewsof both the Douro river and the Atlantic Ocean. Short Uber ride to Porto and the airport. Very clean hotel with vintage decor. Free breakfast was extensive and delicious

Beds are so hard and uncomfortable. If you don’t have a room with a view of the sea the rooms are very dark. Not enough lights inside room. Rooftop is cool and closeness to beach is good.

Service was great, but the But the suite is not a suite and not for the price. Breakfast is not great. Location and people are beautiful. Almost worth the hotel, lol

Lovely hotel close to the tram from Porto and the breakwater and promenades where the Douro meets the Atlantic. Panoramic views from the rooftop terrace (as it says on the tin!). Good breakfast and professional staff . About 20mins by taxi from Airport.

For the price AND the location. This hotel is brilliant. Maybe the rooms are not the best thing in history, but they are very affordable, the location couldn't be better, the staff are very helpful and there's a pool in the terrace.

A warm welcome and great team on front desk including Luisa, Yuri and Nuno who greeted us with a smile at all times of day. Spacious room 113. Ensuite had a good walk in shower and was well lit with good mirrors. The room was not so well lit. Could do with more drawers and shelf space. Always beautifully made up when we came back at end of day. They were quick to fix a flickering light. Curtains cut light out well. Always a pleasant greeting for breakfast which had good variety, nice coffee and excellent fresh fruit. |Overall we would recommend Boa Vista highly, and it was a great location to be close to the city but right by the sea. Best of all worlds! Some good restaurants and coffee shops nearby. Great rooftop terrace and pool.
