Hotel Bocage

Room was ok, bed and pillows not really comfortable at all and we both were actually sore in the mornings being side sleepers. The shower glass divider does nothing to block water from going all over the bathroom, leaving the floors completely soaked after each shower. The breakfast service staff are friendly but front desk staff only say "Bom dia" if you say it first and there's no smiling with their service. Also, we had tried to check in early as noted in a message that was put through with our reservation but when we got there, they acted as if they never saw it and told us we needed to leave and only come back at the directed time, and they wouldn't hold our luggage either but during our actual stay we saw the luggage of other guests being held near the desk on several other days. The breakfast service is fine and decently varied but nothing spectacular and the coffee was one of the worst we had and decided not to drink it after the attempt despite staying for 6 nights.The location, however, is great being in the historic city center, though.

The room was clean and good size although the bath was a bit small. Being at the centre of the old town it was noisy late at night. Street parking is available with pay and display, free between 7 pm and 9 am. The breakfast is a bit basic but it was free, included in the hotel price.

BLACK MOLD ALERT. allergies the entire time while staying in room. Refused to refund anything even though there is obviously a health hazard. Also never cleaned the toilet only put the "sanitized toilet" strip over it. See for yourself. Was welcomed to our room with previous guest's urine and pubic hair on the seat. Had to clean up myself. Don't stay here with these people.

Pleasant hotel. Good sized room, classy. Min punt, no parking but plenty in the neighbourhood (paid)

The Bocage is a it little hostel situated in the old city of Setubal. It is perfectly located in a tiny side street from the main shopping street. We have been received in a very friendly way. The hotel is tastefully decorated and the room are clean. Not very spacious but ok. The only major problem was the mattress. Impossible the sleep on without back pain. The breakfast was standard but sufficient. All in all not a bad place to go especially for that price.

Great position on a quiet pedestrian street in the centre of the old town. Very easy to walk to lovely restaurants, the river and other attractions. The room was quite small but still very comfortable and clean. A nice breakfast was included in the very reasonable price.

It a very well located hotel, but there are some things to improve. First, the breakfast is poor, only orange juice (powder), some bad coffee, regular bread and industrial croissants. Second, there is no heating in the rooms, only one air conditioning machine which don't work very well. Third, the internet connection is very poor and slow in the rooms and not existing at all at the breakfast room. Some positive things, the staff was really friendly and helpful with everything you need.

Stayed three nights in Guest House Bocage in Setúbal, Portugal and found this guest house / hotel value for the money. ||||The location is central within in nice walking area with shops and cafes, walking distance to the sea shore park. ||||Breakfast was good, no specialities though. Room was clean and no carpets. ||||The personnel in Hotel Bocage was very friendly and warm, I felt welcome every time entering.||Would definitely stay again.
