Hotel Bocas Town

I didn’t stay at Hotel Bocas Town, but I reached out to them needing help with a medical-related issue while sailing nearby. Despite not being a guest, they were incredibly kind, responsive, and willing to assist without expecting anything in return. It’s rare to come across such genuine hospitality and generosity. If this is how they treat someone who isn’t even staying there, I can only imagine how well they care for their actual guests. Thank you so much again!

As part of our Panama trip we stayed three nights in Bocas del Toro. In Panama City we stayed at 5-star hotels, but Bocas del Toro does not really offer such an option. So we chose Hotel Bocas Town, and we couldn't have been happier with our choice. Because our incoming flight was severely delayed, we arrived well after the front desk hours ended. The gentleman at the front desk not only waited for our arrival, but helped carry our luggage to the third floor. The room was great and well air-conditioned (once we got it running). And the waterfront view from our balcony was fabulous. And please let me note that everyone else working shifts at the front desk during our stay were invariably nice and helpful.

Centrally located, this ocean-view hotel is a top choice for those wanting to stay in the heart of Bocas Town. Angie, the new manager, is transforming the hotel in a very neat and elegant way. The Chiringuito Bar, located on the oceanfront deck, looks fantastic. The staff were very friendly, helpful, and flexible, making our stay truly enjoyable. We had a great time and felt right at home.

This hotel is in a great location in the centre of town. The room was small but with the balcony it did not feel as cramped. The hotel was clean and bright. The only drawback was that we were on the top floor and there were a lot of stairs each time we went up and down. The breakfast each morning was very good. The staff were very friendly and helpful. The bed was comfortable.

This is a rare gem — so much more than a hotel. The staff are genuine, helpful, & responsive. Air conditioned and sound insulated rooms (we were here during Carnival)… The location offers easy access to the water and the town outside the front door… the size of the hotel provides a very warm and flexible experience.

We were able to check-in early and were greeted by the friendly female manager. Ocean view room was incredible. Everything in the room was comfy and good quality, good shower. Whole hotel was spotless. Bar area next to water is fabulous with reasonably priced drinks and friendly bar staff. It is a noisy hotel at times due to it's location but I knew to expect that. Only negatives for me was lack of fruit for breakfast and no water in bathroom on second morning. Staff didn't provide explanation, probably used to it.

Perfect location in town on the waterfront. Small but comfortable room with good A/C, nice bathroom and shower, balcony. Staff very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was good, not great with coffee, juice, eggs, toast or pancakes. Refrigerator in room would have been nice but overall great value for price.
