Hotel Bohinj

A wonderful, modern hotel in an absolutely perfect location next to Lake Bohinj. We stayed here in January for 4 nights for my wife's 30th birthday. Clean, spacious room with a stunning view of the lake and mountains. Our days were spent hiking around the snowy trails near the lake, making use of the 2hr daily sauna time, relaxing in the bar and enjoying food in the adjacent restaurant. The hotel staff were thoughtful, friendly and attentive. Breakfast was fantastic with lots of vegetarian options and local produce. There could be a bigger variety of vegetarian / pescatarian options on the evening menu but what we did eat (trout, risotto, other warm starters) were all delicious. Can't fault it at all and would love to come back one day. Thanks for a memorable stay!

Our room (Superior Suite) had the most incredible view and lovely bath. Staff were excellent, helpful and attentive. I didn't like that the spa and main reception were operated separately as it made reserving a visit more difficult than needed. Spa facilities very nice. We had dinner at the restaurant, service great, food just okay. Location is amazing. Breakfast great. We loved our stay and the generosity of the staff and manager.

Positive: - Food very good - Restaurant service very good Negative: - We left a winter jacket on the balcony. We inquired at the hotel the day after our departure. The winter jacket was nowhere to be found. - Our room wasn't cleaned one day, even though we specifically pointed this out to reception at lunchtime. Nothing was done that day. - At breakfast, various items (e.g., scrambled eggs, milk for the coffee machine) weren't replenished. They were only replaced after we asked the staff. More accountability given the prices would be desirable.

Great hotel with stunning views and spacious rooms, well equipped and modern. The room included exercise equipment. Dinner was delicious with attentive service. A bit fussy but not too intrusive. Breakfast was a real treat with an interesting array of options that showcased the local produce. Recommended

New and very modern hotel with lovely rooms! Furniture, design and facilities were TOP 🙏🏾😊 the spa was nice but rathet small/narrow. One steam bath, one sauna and one salt room to chill as well as an outdoor pool. The staff at the reception and dinner service was nice, helpful, friendly and customer-oriented - THANK YOU 🤞🏾❤️ For the breakfast service it was (unfortunately) almost the opposite. In general the area and the hotel are beautiful and we would definitely come back again! 😊

We stayed for five days at Hotel Bohinj. The hotel is the best one in the area and it’s visible. There is enough parking space for everyone, even when the hotel is fully occupied at the time of our stay. The room is nice and cozy. We brought a pet and they gave him a welcome present at the reception (snacks, waste bag, and pet guide) and a cozy bed and a bowl inside our room. The breakfast is nice and filling. There are plenty of options for every diet. I especially enjoyed all the pastries. For dinner, the restaurant serves nice food as well. The manager is really friendly and the waiters are knowledgeable. They know how to recommend wines according to your taste. Room for improvement: - Housekeeping staff are not consistent and thorough in cleaning. There are times when it’s good and times when it’s not as good (forgotten towels, unreplaced dirty mugs, no tissue replacement). And the shampoo and hand wash bottles were exchanged in our toilets (hand wash was in the shower and shampoo next to the sink). It was explained to us that it has the same content, though. - There should be available water bottles in the room. There is only small water in the fridge and you get charged for it. - There isn’t an exhaust in the bathroom, so air is not really circulating until you open the bathroom door completely. - There is a 20 people limit at the spa, but it still feels crowded. Why? Nobody was at the salt room, but all loungers are occupied by robes of missing people. This shouldn’t be allowed. There are bean bags close to the pool, but there really isn’t anything to do there. The floors are always wet and everyone was walking barefoot (no slippers given), so someone could easily slip. - The restaurant service is really slow. We have to ask for things at least twice before we get them. We realized that the manager is new and the team is still getting trained, so we were patient. It just felt like a better system could have been made because we see them all working, but can be more efficient. - It would have been nice if they can find a place to put a small gym in. This was the only missing thing for me. - In terms of space for clothing, I’d say that the wardrobe isn’t enough for a week of stay during the winter. For up to 3 days of stay, it is perfect. For more than that, there has to be more.

Best hotel in Bohinj. Very nice environment and vibe. Interior design is top notch, very cozy alpine style hotel. At quiet season rooms become affordable. The breakfast included is okay, nothing surprising. The stay includes a complimentary 2-hr wellness session with a sauna and a pool. I recommend.

We absolutely enjoyed every second of our stay at Hotel Bohinj. Our dog went with us and the room was prepared for us and the dog! The dog got her little bed and goodie bag filled with snacks and necessities. The surrounding nature and the lake are perfect for a hike. Everything was clean and rooms are spacious. We enjoyed the saunas and the wellness experience very much.
