Hotel Bohinj

Loved this hotel!! We had an incredible three night stay at Hotel Bohinj after finishing a hiking trip in Triglav Park. The hotel is perfectly situated right next to the lake and numerous great restaurants. Our room was warm and cozy, with wood accents and a very comfortable bed. We loved our balcony with views of the lake. We had a beautiful dinner one night in the hotel restaurant, and the hotel breakfast buffet was excellent. The spa area was also welcoming and relaxing, as was the front lawn area. It's a perfect spot to unwind by the fire with a glass of wine after a good day of exploring the area. We highly recommend Hotel Bohinj if you plan to visit this stunning area!

We had a truly enjoyable stay at Hotel Bohinj — a beautifully designed retreat in the heart of Bohinj, with a bus stop right in front and all the main attractions within walking distance or a short drive. The hotel’s wooden alpine architecture adds a warm and modern feel, perfectly reflecting the natural surroundings.||Our room was tastefully decorated, with excellent sound insulation and a very comfortable bed. We appreciated the welcome drinks and Bohinj coffee — such a nice local touch. One of the highlights was the private hot tub in the room with an amazing mountain view — a perfect way to relax after a long day of hiking.||The floating breakfast was another unforgettable experience. When we arrived at the spa area, everything was beautifully arranged. The pool was warm, the setting private, and the food fresh and plentiful. The entire spa area was peaceful, clean, and well-equipped — we had everything we needed for a relaxing morning.||Breakfast in the main restaurant was also very good, with a nice variety of fresh juices, fruits, and bakery items. The staff were consistently polite, welcoming, and helpful throughout our stay.||We were grateful for the early check-in, but we did notice that the toiletries (shampoo, shower gel, tissue) were only partially stocked, and we had to request refills more than once. Additionally, during our 3-night stay, there was no regular housekeeping unless we specifically asked for it — something to be aware of, though not a major issue.||A small detail: we found a cigarette remnant in the pool water during our floating breakfast — a rare oversight, but worth noting. Also, while the nightly outdoor fire adds ambiance for many, it was a bit difficult for us due to asthma and allergies. And with daytime temperatures reaching 27°C, we felt that having air conditioning would make the stay much more comfortable.||Overall, Hotel Bohinj truly stands out for its prime location, beautiful design, and peaceful atmosphere. With a few small improvements — particularly in room preparation and climate comfort — it could be outstanding. We highly recommend it and would happily return.

We enjoyed 3 nights at the Hotel Boninj. The hotel had a fantastic contemporary mountain design. Our rooms were well-appointed and had nice balconies. We enjoyed a very solid buffet breakfast each morning and loved afternoon drinks on the outside grass. Perfect location, away from the touristy area of Lake Bled, but an easy day trip. This was the nicest of the 4 hotels we stayed in, in Slovenia, I would definitely recommend it!

Incredible hotel in a stunning location. So much more calm and rejuvenating than Bled. The room is very luxurious and bed very comfortable with a pillow menu. Most if not all rooms have a large patio. We left the patio door open all night and it was absolutely silent with the perfect breeze. Definitely eat dinner at the hotel and take time for their spa (Finnish sauna, Turkish sauna, pool). The complimentary breakfast buffet was HUGE with a wild amount of variety. Wish we had stayed longer and can’t wait to go back

What an amazing stay! This hotel is definitely of our favorites. The decor and design of the hotel is truly unique - paying tribute to the first explorers to climb a nearby mountain. My wife and I loved everything about this place. The service (our waiter for supper was outstanding and friendly), the rooms, the decor, the location, the food, the local gin - everything. Thank you so much for an amazing stay. I highly recommend this hotel for an unforgettable experience. We will be back

This is one of my favorite stays ever. Everything in this hotel is well thought and tailor made to allow guests to have the perfect experience. It’s so beautiful, and so comfortable. The food is great, the SPA is amazing. The staff is kind, and the events are super well organized. I want to come back since the minute I left. Absolutely love it!

Aside from booking directly online with the hotel a week prior at full price and then being assigned room 101, the least desirable located room next to reception, our 3 night stay was wonderful. The staff were very friendly and accommodating minus one. The facilities are very modern and the breakfast included was an amazing selection. The restaurant also provided a full and delicious menu. Small recommended given the hotel is located on the edge of a lake with many swimming options; access to beach towels would have been appreciated if not expected. Even for a small fee.

We loved our stay at Hotel Bohinj! Rooms are small but modern. Breakfast had a solid variety. We enjoyed the free two hours at the spa every day. One thing to note - I was under the impression there was a jacuzzi (hot tub) as well as the outdoor pool, but those are one and the same. The outdoor pool is a very nice warm temperature, but it is not hot. Excellent view from the pool as well.
