Stayed here twice and although the location was great, it isn't a place I would want to return to. The rooms are basic as is the whole hotel which has a 70s/80s interior - it needs a face lift - renovation. The breakfast was aweful. The worst thing I saw and tried to eat was the scrabled eggs mixed with cheese and butter - food to take you to an early grave. My advice - grab a hotel by the beach. Its cheaper (at low season), better quality and only 10 mins away by car.

Excellent staff, the location of the hotel is excellent for the old town as it’s a few minutes walk to Passeig de les Germanies.

Great hotel, with great staff. Super clean. Spacious rooms. Excellent breakfast included. On site perking available too. Absolutely no complaints whatsoever. In the heart of the city and an easy walk to the old town. Highly recommended.

We stayed a few nights in Borgia when in Gandia. Prior to arriving, the hotel was responsive to queries, though only in Spanish! ||Location was excellent, around 15 mins walk to the train/ coach station & near the main promenade, with easy access to dining options. ||The hotel facade & lobby itself looked nice but the room was a bit worn, especially the table tops which were peeling & off putting. ||It was great to have a balcony facing a few bars & cafes but it was a tad noisy at night so thankfully we had some ear plugs. ||There was ample storage space but the desk surfaces & drawers were quite dirty, as if they hadn't been cleaned. There was a fridge in the hotel & a safe in the wardrobe but no key. ||A bottle of water was given compliments of the hotel on the first day. Toiletries were in small bottles which was not environmentally friendly & they didn't replenish these on the second day so we had to request some at reception. The person at reception didn't speak English so we had to rely on Google translate 😁 ||Breakfast was served from 7am on weekdays & 8am on weekends. There was a selection of hot & cold food, fruit, yoghurt, pastries & bread. ||The hot food was lukewarm to cold & wasn't anything exciting but the chorizo, fried eggs & chilli peppers were welcome. ||The fruit looked like they were abandoned & were mostly not neatly sliced like some pictures suggest. They were often bruised & the sliced pineapple looked like it was almost off when it was served, with black & brown spots at the edges. ||Pastries like the croissants were soggy rather than crisp; bread rolls weren't bad, & the peach jam was lovely. The toaster took forever to brown anything & coffee didn't taste great. Juices tasted more like cordials. ||In short, breakfast wasn't great but we did manage to fill ourselves up before our daily excursions. ||All in all, the stay at Borgia was good. It provided a good base for us as we explored the area. ||There are other accommodation options at the beach area but the base in the centre allowed us easy access to transport to Denia & when we travelled from & returned to Valencia. ||

I'll start with pros as there is not much to say. The food was very tasty and rich selection. The location was good too. And now let's get to reality. This hotel is a pure joke! The staff at the reception don't speak English, which is a big problem as you are in a tourstic spot and you pay for service. They don't even try to be helpful. There was a receptionist who didn't care to help us. We were on the road trip and arrived in the evening searching for a parking lot. The receptionist told us in Spanish that the hotel parking is full and sent us away! I asked her several times on some advice but she was just useless. When we finally found a parking lot, we came back to check-in and paid for the halfboard. The receptionist wrote us the dinner time on a paper. Unfortunately, when we showed up to a dinner, the restaurant was closed, even though it was the dinner time. She was speaking something in Spanish and then called a waitress from a crowdy hotel bar and they offered us seats there which looked like in a cheap pub. We strongly disagreed and the staff started to yell at each other in Spanish who knows what. We felt very unpleasant and we didn't have a clue what was going on. In the end, they opened the restaurant for us and, suprisingly, the dinner buffet was ready for guests. So what was this whole mess all about? I think if someone spoke English or German or if the receptionist with a slavic name used any of the Slavic languages to explain us the situation, we wouldn't be that mad. In addition, the room walls are so thin that we heard neighbours doing all kinds of things all night and couldn't sleep well. Overall feeling, the customer service is unproffesional. Great location. Just 2 minute walk to restaurants, shops etc. Typical hotel standard room, clean and comfortable. Our room had a view onto street but viewed through very attractive tall palm tree. Felt quite tropical. Staff pleasant but formal.

The room has a very nice appearance, is a very good size and the bed was comfortable, Many doors banging through the night, the hotel does not have slow close mechanisms on doors, the sounds of other people's toilets flushing was heard regularly, I asked over 4 weeks before for a quiet room and they put me at the front over the road. I booked double they gave me twin. Two sockets are loose.
